Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I used the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals bundle to make another poinsettia Christmas card. For today’s poinsettias, I used the Snowy White Velvet paper to make a poinsettia with a velvety texture – the dies cut the velvet paper beautifully! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week and here’s the pretty sketch we are using:

I cut a panel of Painted Christmas designer series paper with the Scalloped Contours die and adhered it to the front of an Evening Evergreen card base with liquid glue. I cut the three largest poinsettia clusters from the Snowy White Velvet paper using the embossing insets. I gently curled the petals backwards and adhered the centers with liquid glue.

I adhered the poinsettia to the card front with glue dots. I cut the berry sprig using from the dark side of the Poppy Parade Ombre specialty paper and adhered it to the card front with glue dots, tucking it under the flower. I cut two of the leaves from the Poinsettia dies with the embossing insets from Evening Evergreen and gently curved them before adhering them with glue dots under the flower.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals photopolymer stamp set in Real Red on Soft Sea Foam. I cut out the sentiment with the smallest Scalloped Contour die using the two step method and adhered it on the card with dimensionals and glue dots. I finished the card front with three Garden Gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals stamp set in Real Red on Basic White. I stamped the little holly flourish from the Whimsical Trees stamp set next to the sentiment in Soft Sea Foam and trimmed the bottom of the panel with a strip of the Painted Christmas DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The die cut poinsettia from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals stamp set and Poinsettia dies are my all time favorite die cut poinsettia for Christmas cards. A single die cut poinsettia that is so dramatic – especially when cut from a specialty paper like the velvet!

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Video Tutorial

Hello! I hope you had a great weekend! Yesterday afternoon during my weekly Facebook Live, I made a Christmas card with the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals photopolymer stamp set and the coordinating Poinsettia dies. I combined them with the beautiful Whimsy and Wonder specialty designer series paper from the new July-December 2021 Mini Catalog for a non traditional color palette Christmas card. You can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

My card was inspired by the sketch challenge at Inspire Create Challenge #095. Here’s the pretty sketch:

I cut the three graduated poinsettia clusters from Blushing Bride card stock with the outline and the detailed embossing dies. I cut one of each of the Poinsettia Leaves from Mossy Meadow card stock with the outline dies and the detailed embossing dies. I cut the embossed solid flower center from Bumblebee and the detailed flower center from Silver foil. Before cutting the foil die cut, I applied some adhesive sheet to the back.

I gently folded the poinsettia petals backward with my fingers and adhered the petal clusters together with glue dots, ensuring the petals fell between the petals on the layer below. I peeled the adhesive sheet backing off the silver foil center and adhered the flower centers (I had trouble in the video, but this worked well on my sample card. LOL). I adhered the center to the poinsettia with glue dots. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink on Mint Macaron. I trimmed the end with the Banners Pick A Punch.

I adhered the Whimsy and Wonder designer series paper panels to Mossy Meadow mats and adhered them to the front of a Mint Macaron card base with liquid glue. I adhered the Poinsettia to the card front with glue dots and adhered the label with glue dots by tucking it under the flower petals. I adhered the leaves with glue dots and tucked them under the petals too. I made a loopy bow with silver trim and adhered it with a glue dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the top corner of a Basic White panel with the poinsettia flower from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals stamp set in Blushing Bride. I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow and added a strip of the pretty Whimsy and Wonder DSP to the side. I adhered the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat and adhered the layered panel to the inside of the card.

I love the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals stamp set and the Poinsettia dies and the pink flower looks so pretty with the beautiful Whimsy and Wonder specialty designer series paper. This gorgeous paper has holographic silver touches throughout and is so elegant! It will be available when the new July – December 2021 Mini Catalog launches on May 3!

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Christmas Card

Good Morning! Do you realize that Christmas is 6 months away? It always arrives before I’m ready, so I need to start early with Christmas cards! Here is my first Christmas card for the year made with the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals photopolymer stamp set and fabulous Poinsettia dies. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I used a Blending Brush to apply Soft Succulent ink to a Basic White panel. I randomly stamped the berry sprig from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals stamp set in Soft Suede ink on the panel. I stamped the berries in Real Red ink and then embossed the panel with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. I adhered the panel to the right side of the front of a Soft Succulent card base. I cut the strip of striped Pansy Petals designer series paper with the Scalloped Contours die and adhered it to the right side of the card.

I one each of the three largest Poinsettia dies from Real Red card stock with the embossing insert and gently curved the petals with my fingers. I adhered the petal clusters together with liquid glue, alternating the petals so they fell between the petals in the layer below. I cut one each of the leaf dies from Soft Succulent card stock with the embossing insert. I adhered the flower and leaves to the card front with glue dots. I added three gold glitter enamel dots to the center of the flower.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals stamp set in Versamark ink on Evening Evergreen. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set the powder until it was shiny. I cut the sentiment with the Tailor Made Tags die. I adhered a Real Red bow to the end of the tag and slipped it under the flower.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the pine sprig from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals stamp set in Evening Evergreen on the bottom and top corners of a Basic White panel. I stamped the berry sprig in Soft Suede ink in the lower corner and stamped the berries in Real Red. I stamped the sentiment in Real Red and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I’m so glad that the gorgeous Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals stamp set and dies were carries over from last year’s Holiday Catalog because these are the most beautiful poinsettias ever! And don’t the Real Red flowers look great with the new In Color greens – Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent? One last tip – they also go beautiful with the Plush Poinsettia Specialty paper (item 153486) in the Clearance Rack!

I’m so glad to start my Christmas cards for this year. The 2021-2022 Annual Catalog has favorite holiday stamp sets as well as some new bundles so you can get started right now! Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Thank You Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Today’s card is a holiday themed Thank You card using the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals bundle and the Poinsettia Place designer series paper. This is the card I made during my Facebook Live video tutorial yesterday afternoon and you can find the supplies I used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

My card was inspired by the cute Sketch Challenge in Freshly Made Sketches #464.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

I cut a poinsettia flower from the floral Poinsettia Place designer series paper with the outline poinsettia die from the Poinsettia Dies in the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals designer series paper. I used the same die to cut a Whisper White panel and adhered it to the back of the DSP flower so that the flower would be a little stiffer. I also fussy cut the center of another poinsettia and adhered it to the center with dimensionals.

I cut a panel of fancy green paper from the Poinsettia Place DSP with the stitched square from the Stitched Shapes Dies and adhered it to a Woodgrain panel of the Poinsettia Place DSP. I adhered it all to a Soft Suede mat. I popped the poinsettia on with dimensionals and tucked a Linen Thread bow under the flower.

I used the Banners Pick A Punch to cut the end of a Whisper White strip and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Place photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink near the end. I trimmed the other end of the label and adhered it to the panel with a length of Real Red ribbon underneath. I popped the panel on a Real Red card base with dimensionals and accented the front with three red Wonderful Gems.

I adhered a strip of wood grain paper to a Whisper White panel and fussy cut another poinsettia from the Poinsettia Place DSP and adhered it to the corner. I trimmed the petals to be even with the Whisper White panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals stamp set are really nice! The Thank You sentiment is perfect for expressing appreciation for that extra special gift or for sending a quick note after a fun holiday visit or outing. Have a great week!!

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Holiday Gift Box for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! For today’s hop, I used the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals bundle with the Wonder of the Season specialty designer series paper and decorated a mini Paper Pumpkin box. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a theme challenge this week, and here is the theme we are using for our projects:

I covered the top and sides of the mini Paper Pumpkin box with the Wonder of the Season specialty designer series paper matted with Shaded Spruce. I was careful to make sure that the writing was in the correct direction when cutting and adhering to the box. I made a loopy bow with the Shaded Spruce ribbon to tie around the box and it’s loose enough to easily slip on and off.

I made a large red foil poinsettia with the Poinsettia Dies from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals bundle. I used the embossing inserts to cut the petals and gently bent the each petal backwards. I adhered the petal clusters together with glue dots and finished the center with the beaded Pearls.

I cut three poinsettia leaves from green foil and two silver foil berry sprigs using the dies from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals bundle. I used the tag die from the North Pole Wonder Dies to cut a tag from the Wonder of the Season specialty designer series paper and adhered the leaves, berry sprigs and flower to the tag with glue dots.

I looped the trim from the glitter star through thee tag and tied it to the bow. So as the bow is slipped around the box, the tag goes with it.

And of course the inside of the box needs some festive tissue. I stamped a sheet of white tissue paper with the poinsettia from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals photopolymer stamp set in Real Red and one of the outline holly branches from the Joyful Holly stamp set in Shaded Spruce to finish off the festive mood.

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! For today’s hop, I used the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals bundle with the ‘Tis The Season 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to make a traditional Christmas Card. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a color challenge this week, and here is the festive color palette we are using for our projects:

Adhere the strip of colorful holly paper to the panel of red holly ‘Tis The Season 6″ x 6″ designer series paper with liquid glue. Adhered the panel to a Cherry Cobbler mat and then to the front of a Real Red card base. Adhere the plaid ‘Tis The Season DSP to a Shaded Spruce mat and then adhere it to the card front.

Stamp the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set in Versamark ink on a strip of Shaded Spruce. Sprinkle it with white embossing powder and heat set until shiny. Trim the end with the Banner Pick A Punch and adhere it to the card front. Using the Poinsettia Dies from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals bundle, cut the three largest petal clusters from Red Velvet paper with the middle embossing panel. Adhere the layers together with liquid glue.

Cut one of each leaf from the Poinsettia Dies from Garden Green and cut the flower center and berry sprig from gold foil. Adhere the flower center to the poinsettia with a glue dot and adhere the flower to the card front with more glue dots. Add liquid glue to the leaves and gold berry sprig and tuck them under the poinsettia. Finish the card front with three Wonderful Gems.

Stamp the poinsettia from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals photopolymer stamp set in Real Red ink on a Whisper White panel. Stamp the sentiment in Shaded Spruce and adhere another strip of plaid ‘Tis The Season 6″ x 6″ DSP to the bottom of the panel. Adhere the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals bundle makes the most beautiful 3d poinsettia flower for Christmas cards. And the ‘Tis The Season 6″ x 6″ designer series paper is so festive – any card made with it is sure to bring holiday!

Adhere a panel of the holly Poinsettia Place designer series paper to a Soft Suede mat and pop it on the front of an Old Olive card base. Stamp the Merry Christmas greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals photopolymer stamp set in Real Red ink on Soft Sea Foam card stock and cut it out with the Tasteful Labels die. Adhere it to the lower part of the card.

Cut out three of the leaves from the Poinsettia Dies (two large and one small) from Garden Green card stock. Use both the cutting and embossing dies. Cut out three berry sprigs from Bumblebee card stock and six poinsettia petals from Real Red. Cut out two of the smallest and two of the largest and one of each to the other sizes. Use both the cutting and embossing dies.

Gently bend the poinsettia petals backwards with your fingers and adhere the layers with liquid glue. Position the petals so that the upper layer falls between the petals on the lower layer with the largest on the bottom. Gently bend the tips of the leaves backwards with your fingers. Adhere the leaves and berry branches with liquid glue and the flower with glue dots. Finish the flower center with a beaded pearl and trim the label with a Real Red bow.

Stamp the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals stamp set in Real Red ink on a Whisper White panel. Stamp the berry sprig in Soft Suede ink next to the sentiment and stamp the berries in Real Red. Trim the bottom with a strip of Poinsettia Place designer series paper and adhere the panel to the inside of the card.

The Poinsettia Dies from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals bundle make the most beautiful dimensional poinsettias that are great for cards and tags and any other Christmas project! And they are a perfect when paired with the Poinsettia Place designer series paper, which is currently on sale this month at a 15% discount!

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Christmas Card

Good Morning! Today I have another Christmas Card made with the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals bundles. For this card, I used the petal stamps with the outline dies to give definition to the flower petals and I paired the Poinsettia with the Poinsettia Place designer series paper that has a similar floral pattern. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Adhere the strip of wood grain Poinsettia Place DSP to the floral DSP and adhere them both to a Soft Suede mat. Pop it on the front of a Thick Whisper White card base. Stamp the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink and trim the end with the Banners Pick A Punch. Adhere the label to the bottom of the card

Cut the medium pine bough from Old Olive card stock using the Beautiful Boughs Dies and adhere the bough to the card. Stamp three leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals stamp set in Garden Green ink on Garden Green card stock and cut them out with the coordinating die. Stamp two berry branches from Bumblebee card stock using the Poinsettia Dies and adhere them to the card front.

Stamp two of the large poinsettia petal clusters and one each of the small and medium cluster from he Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals stamp set in Soft Suede ink on Whisper White. Stamp the inside accents in Bumblebee ink. Cut each cluster out with the coordinating die. Gently curl the petals down with your bone folder and adhere them together, with the smallest on top. Brush clear Wink of Stella on the petals to add some sparkle. Adhere the flower to the card front with glue dots. Accent the center with red Wonderful Gems. Make a Real Red bow and adhere it to the card, tucking it under the flower.

Stamp the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals in Real Red ink on a Whisper White panel. Stamp the Poinsettia flower next to the sentiment in Bumblebee ink and adhere a strip of floral Poinsettia Place DSP to the bottom. Adhere the panel to a Soft Suede mat and adhere it all to the inside of the card.

I’ve made a few other cards with this beautiful flower, but this is the first one that I have stamped. And this is the first one that I have paired with the beautiful Poinsettia Place DSP which is one of the DSP paper packs that is currently on sale at a 15% discount – YAY!!. Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Christmas Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Today I’m sharing a Christmas card made with the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals bundle that I made during my Facebook Live video tutorial yesterday afternoon. This is hands down the best poinsettia bundle ever! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I also posted the video to my YouTube Channel and you can view it here if you prefer.

I started by cutting three sets of petal clusters and the embossing inserts from Real Red card stock using the Poinsettia Dies that are part of the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals bundle. I also cut one each of the leaf dies with the embossing inserts from Garden Green card stock and a berry sprig from Silver Foil. I embossed a panel of Whisper White with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and adhered it to a Whisper White panel. I popped the panel on the front of a Thick Whisper White card base using dimensionals.

I cut out the fancy label frame from vellum using the Ornate Layers Dies. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals photopolymer stamp set in Real Red ink on a strip of Whisper White and cut it out with the stitched label from the Ornate Layers Dies. I adhered the label to the vellum frame with Stampin’ Seal and then adhered it to the card front.

I sponged the center and edges of each of the flower petals with Real Red ink and I sponged the edges of the leaves with Garden green ink. I gently curled the flower petals under with my bone folder and adhered the layers together with glue dots. I brushed each petal with the Wink of Stella glitter brush and adhered one of the beautiful new beaded pearls to the center. I adhered the flower to the card front with glue dots. Then I adhered the leaves and silver sprigs and a polka dot tulle bow.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals stamp set in Real Red ink on a Whisper White panel. I stamped the poinsettia in the lower corner, also in Real Red ink and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Layered die cut poinsettias make the prettiest Christmas cards. But they can also be used for holiday tags, ornaments, garlands, package decorations and small bouquets. And since the petals come in clusters, they are easy for children to work with in holiday craft projects! So the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals bundle is a definite must have when the catalog opens on Tuesday, Aug 4!
