Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips Card with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! April Showers Bring May Flowers! I have been saying this every year since I was a child. We had some rain last weekend and it’s still cool here in Pennsylvania, so I’m grateful it wasn’t snow. But daffodils are blooming and soon the tulips will be as well, so it’s time for tulip cards. I used the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips bundle for a thinking of you card in my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon to make this card. You can find the supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the link to the Facebook Live video from yesterday. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here if you prefer. I’ve included it in this post:

I cut a Basic White panel with the second largest Scalloped Contours dies and adhered a panel of the beautiful Flowering Fields designer series paper to the front. I cut a Poppy Parade panel with the three tulip dies – the wide triple panel petals, the medium double petal panel and the small single petal pane. I adhered the small single petal panel to the inside of the triple panel with liquid glue. I put bits of dimensionals on the top of the medium panel and liquid glue on the bottom and adhered it to the middle and folded over the side panels of the large panel, securing the bottom with liquid glue.

I cut the skinny stem and adhered it to the DSP with the fine tip glue pen. I adhered the tulip flower on top of the stem with glue dots and cut one of each of the leaf dies from the Tulips dies in the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips bundle and adhered them on either side of the stem with glue dots. I adhered the panel to the front of a Pool Party card base with dimensionals.

I punched the ends of the Petal Pink panel with the curly side of the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set in Poppy Parade on top. I adhered the sentiment to the card front with dimensionals and made a bow with sheer Pool Party ribbon. I adhered the bow to the stem with a glue dot and finished the card with Pool Party Rhinestones.

For the inside of the card, I stamped two tulips from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set in Flirty Flamingo on the sides of a Basic White panel. I stamped the detailed stamp over the stamped tulips in stamped off Flirty Flamingo and added Memento Tuxedo Black flower centers and Pear Pizzazz stems and leaves. I trimmed the bottom with Flowering Fields DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Both the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips bundle and Flowering Fields DSP are beautiful items that are perfect for spring cards. And they’re so versatile, and result in beautiful hand crafted items.

For my Facebook live, I had a sample card with a Basic White flower that was sponged with Petal Pink for a very light pink card. Here it is with the card I made in the video. I think I like them both.

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips Card

Good Morning! Today I have a simple card made with the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips bundle and the pretty Flowering Fields designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Flowering Fields designer series paper to a Soft Succulent mat and wrapped lengths of white and Soft Succulent ribbon over the top, adhering them with Stampin’ Seal on the front and securing them with scotch tape in the back. I adhered the panel to the front of a So Saffron card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips photopolymer stamp set in Soft Succulent ink on a So Saffron panel. I cut it out with a die from the Tasteful Labels dies and secured it to the front with dimensionals, being careful to adhere them to the DSP.

I finished the card front with three Soft Succulent jewels adhered to the label.

I stamped the tulip from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set in Mango Melody on a Basic White panel. I stamped the accent tulip in stamped off Mango Melody for lighter highlights and stamped the stem and leaves in Soft Succulent. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Flowering Fields DSP is so beautiful and Springy! I love this sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set, because it is so optimistic and perfect for Spring’s new beginnings!

Join me for a Facebook Live this Afternoon!

I’m planning to go live on my Facebook Page at 1:00 ET this afternoon to make a card with the Daffodil Daydream bundle. Look forward to seeing you then!

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning! Welcome to the March Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is “Celebrate Spring” and I used the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips bundle to make a colorful card with a Highland Heather Spring tulip! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut two panels of the Flowering Fields designer series paper and adhered them to Pear Pizzazz mats. I adhered the polka dot panel to the front of a Mango Melody card base with liquid glue and the tulip field panel on top with dimensionals.

I cut three flowers from a Highland Heather panel of the Flowering Fields designer series paper using the Tulips dies from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips bundle. I adhered the die cuts with dimensionals and glue dots to make the pretty 3D tulip flower and adhered the flower to the card front with glue dots. I used the leaves and small stem dies to cut a Pear Pizzazz panel of the Flowering Fields DSP and adhered them to the card with glue dots and dimensionals. I tied a knot in a length of Highland Heather ribbon and adhered it to the stem with a glue dot.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips photopolymer stamp set in Poppy Parade on a Basic White panel. I cut it out with the Stitched So Sweetly die and adhered it to the cards with glue dots. I finished the label with a Highland Heather pearl.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the tulip from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set in Highland Heather on the side of a Basic White panel. I inked up the accent flower stamp and stamped it off before stamping over the tulip to give it dimension. I stamped the leaf and stem in Pear Pizzazz and adhered a strip of DSP to the bottom before adhering the panel to the inside of the card.

I love the dimensional tulips that the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips bundle makes. There are three styles, and I need to use them all. I also think the stamped tulips and sentiments are great too! It’s good that I’m ready for Spring tulips!!

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! For today’s card, I used the brand new Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips bundle with the Flowering Fields designer series paper to make a cheery Birthday card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch this week – here is the pretty sketch we are using:

I adhered a panel of colorful Flowering Fields designer series paper to the front of a Pear Pizzazz card base. I cut a strip of Calypso Coral card stock with the tulip border die from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips bundle and adhered it to a polka dot panel of Flowering Fields DSP. I adhered the layered DSP panel to a Pear Pizzazz mat.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Fields photopolymer stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink and cut it out with the Stitched Rectangle die. I adhered it to the card front with dimensionals.

I finished the card front with Genial Gems and a bow made with the pretty Evening Evergreen Windowpane Check ribbon.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the tulip from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set in Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral, Memento Tuxedo Black and Pear Pizzazz on the side of a Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set in Evening Evergreen in the middle of the panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

With the versatile Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips multi-step photopolymer stamp set, it’s easy to create pretty multicolored flowers! And when paired with the coordinating Tulips dies, you can make dimensional flowers as well!
