Stampin’ Up! Choose Happy for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to the September Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is “Halloween Fun” and I used the sweet Stampin’ Up! Choose Happy stamp set along with the Frosted Forest dies to create a spooky Halloween scene. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

I adhered a panel of Flowering Zinnias designer series paper to the front of a Pumpkin Pie card base with liquid glue. I cut a mask of the moon using the third smallest circle die from the Stylish shapes dies and adhered the background to a Basic White panel. I used a sponge dauber to apply Lemon Lolly ink to the open circle to make the moon. I removed the mask and covered the moon with the die cut circle. I tore a piece of printer paper and covered the top of the panel and applied Mossy Meadow ink to the bottom edge with a sponge dauber to color the ground. I removed the printer paper and used the other panel cover the ground so I could color the sky.

For the sky, I carefully applied a thin layer of Pumpkin Pie ink next to the ground and colored the rest of the sky lightly with Balmy Blue ink. I used another sponge dauber to apply Blueberry Bushel ink to darken the sky and finally applied Night of Navy ink to intensify the color until I got the look I wanted. I spritzed some water over the sky and blotted it with a paper towel. I removed the mask covering the moon and adhered the panel to a Basic Black mat.

I stamped four pumpkins from the Stampin’ Up! Choose Happy stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White. I colored them with Mossy Meadow and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends. I stamped Jack-O-Lantern faces on two pumpkins and fussy cut them with my paper snips. I used a Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker to color the edges of the card stock, so the white would not show. I used the bare tree die from the Frosted Forest dies to cut a Basic Black panel and adhered the trees to the background with tiny dots of liquid glue.

I arranged the pumpkins on the panel and stamped the ‘Boo‘ sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Choose Happy stamp set using Memento tuxedo Black ink. I adhered the pumpkins to the panel with dimensionals and adhered the panel to the card front with more dimensionals. I wrapped the top of the card with black baker’s twine, making a bow and added black sparkle dots to the trees.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the ‘happy‘ sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Choose Happy stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel. I used the Mini Alphabet dies to cut letters to spell ‘Halloween‘ from Pumpkin Pie card stock and adhered them with liquid glue. I adhered the Jack-O-Lantern, trimmed the bottom with DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I haven’t done a sponged night scene in a long time, and it was fun to go back to an old technique. This was the first time that I’ve spritzed it with water, and I love how it came out. There are so many Stampin’ Up! dies (and stamp sets) that could be used with this old school technique, and the beauty is that because it’s made by hand, the sky will be different and unique every time!

Stampin’ Up! Iconic Imagery Christmas Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Iconic Imagery bundle is one of the bundles from the July Online Exclusives Release and has cute images for Fall and Winter celebrations. I used the pretty sentiments and label dies to make a rustic Christmas card. You can find the products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

I adhered a plaid panel of Iconic Celebrations 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to a Cherry Cobbler mat and adhered it to the front of a Basic Beige card base. I adhered a leafy Cherry Cobbler panel of the DSP to a Cherry Cobbler mat and adhered it to the card.

I stamped the festive ‘Celebrate’ sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Iconic Imagery stamp set using Cherry Cobbler ink on Basic Beige and cut it out with the large label die. I adhered it to the card using glue dots towards the center of the card, so I could tuck greenery under the edges. I stamped three leaf clusters using Mossy Meadow ink – I stamped the outline in full strength ink and the filler in stamped off ink. I cut them out with the coordinating die and adhered them tot he card with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Iconic Imagery stamp set using Versamark ink on Mossy Meadow. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and shook off the excess. I heated the powder until it was bright and shiny and cut it out with the long label die. I adhered the label to the card with dimensionals. I finished the card by adding Cherry Cobbler berries to the leaf clusters and adhering a white bow.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiments from the Greetings of the Season stamp set using Cherry Cobbler ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped a leaf cluster next to it and stamped and die cut a berry cluster to adhere on top. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Iconic Imagery bundle is great for making casual Christmas cards with it’s simple images and fun sentiments.

Stampin’ Up! Frosted Forest for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I used the pretty Stampin’ Up! Frosted Forest bundle to make a fall note card for our hop today. This was fun because the tree was colored with the masks and blending brushes and sponge daubers! You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a theme challenge this week, and it’s perfect for the cool mornings we have had this week, although the leaves haven’t started turning yet.

I embossed a Crushed Curry panel with the Leaf Fall 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Crushed Curry card base with liquid glue. I used blending brushes with Balmy Blue and Garden Green ink to color a Basic White panel. I cut the panel out with the Deckled Rectangles dies and stamped the little bird from the Stampin’ Up! Frosted Forest stamp set in Pecan Pie ink in the sky. I adhered the panel to the front of the card.

I stamped the tree from the Stampin’ Up! Frosted Forest stamp set in Pecan Pie ink on Basic White. I used mask #1 to color the tree trunk and branches with Pecan Pie ink using a blending brush. I used a sponge dauber to apply a little Pebbled Path ink. I used mask #2 to color the top. I applied Crushed Curry ink to the tree with a sponge dauber. I added splotches of Garden Green ink with a blending brush and Pumpkin Pie ink with a sponge dauber. I replaced the mask with #3 and applied Copper Clay and more Garden Green ink.

I cut out the tree with the coordinating die and adhered it to the card with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Frosted Forest stamp set using Pecan Pie ink on Basic White. I cut the sentiment out with the Autumn Leaves label die and adhered a golden leaf to the back. I adhered the label to the card with glue dots and finished with three Copper Clay dots.

For the inside of the card, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal. I used the Autumn Leaves die to cut leaves from Pumpkin Pie, Copper Clay, Crushed Curry and Pecan pie card stock. I adhered the leaves to the inside of the card.

I love the mottled look of the leaves on the tree, and it was fun to use blending brushed and sponge daubers! The masks are pretty easy to use with the numbering and the alignment notches. And isn’t that a great sentiment to brighten a day?

Stampin’ Up! Autumn Expressions Beauty of the Season Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Autumn Expressions bundle is a pretty new stamp and die bundle in the Splendid Autumn Suite from the new September – December 2024 Mini Catalog opening today. I used it with one of the pretty Fall landscapes in the Splendid Autumn 6″ x 6″ designer series paper. You can find the products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

I embossed a strip of Cajun Craze card stock with the Leaf Fall 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the bottom of a panel of Splendid Autumn designer series paper. I adhered the layered panel to a Pebbled Path mat and wrapped it with a length of Copper Clay Linen Thread making a bow. I popped it on the front of a Cajun Craze card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Autumn Expressions stamp set using Cajun Craze ink on a Lemon Lolly strip and cut it out with the die from the Unbounded Love dies.

I adhered a golden leaf to the card with a glue dot and cut out a Cajun Craze leaf using the Stampin’ Up! Autumn Expressions dies. I adhered the die cut leaf to the card with a glue dot and popped the sentiment on top with dimensionals. I finished with three iridescent foil gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the leaf from the Stampin’ Up! Autumn Expressions bundle in stamped off Cajun Craze ink in the corner of a Basic White panel. I trimmed the side with DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Autumn Expressions bundle is finally out and it’s perfect for making beautiful Fall cards for any occasion.

Stampin’ Up! Unbounded Love Get Well Card

Good Morning! Here’s a simple Fall get well card made with the wonderful Stampin’ Up! Unbounded Love bundle and the beautiful new Splendid Autumn 6″ x 6″ designer series paper from the upcoming September-December Mini Catalog. You can find the currently available products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

I embossed a panel of Highland Heather card stock with the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Highland Heather card base with liquid glue.

I adhered a panel of Splendid Autumn DSP to a Copper Clay mat. I wrapped it with Copper Clay Linen Thread (available Sept 4) and made a bow. I popped the panel on the front of the card with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Unbounded Love stamp set in Copper Clay ink on Basic White and cut it out with the rectangle die. I cut a mat from a Highland Heather panel of Splendid Autumn DSP and adhered it to the back of the sentiment. I adhered the label to the card with dimensionals, doubling up on the overlap. I finished the card with Fresh Freesia tinsel gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the triple flower from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set using Highland Heather ink and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Unbounded Love stamp set next to the flowers using Copper Clay ink. I used the light Copper Clay and light Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends to accent the flower centers. I trimmed the bottom with DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Unbounded Love bundle has so many beautiful sentiments and goes well with designer series papers filled with beautiful painted landscapes like the Splendid Autumn 6″ x 6″ DSP (available on Sept 4). These papers make card making so easy and the gorgeous label dies give your cards an extra special touch!

Stampin’ Up! Snowy Wonder Sneak Peek for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Here’s a sneak peek of a fun new bundle from the upcoming Mini Catalog – the Stampin’ Up! Snowy Wonder bundle. This is a great little bundle with lots of great Winter images and coordinating dies and bold sentiments. This bundle will be available on Wednesday Sept 4 when the September – December 2024 Mini Catalog opens for orders! You can find the currently available supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch challenge this week, so I turned it into a simple fun fold – a card base panel with a mini card.

I embossed a pool party panel with the Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the mini Basic White card base with liquid glue. I adhered strips of striped Snowy Scenes designer series paper (available Sept 4, 2024) to the top and bottom of the embossed panel and adhered the mini card base to a Poppy Parade panel.

I stamped and die cut several images from the Stampin’ Up! Snowy Wonder bundle on Basic White. I stamped the little house in Poppy Parade and used my black Stampin’ Write marker on the roof to make it contrast. I colored the windows dark Lemon Lolly and the door light Pecan Pie. I stamped the mountains (1 large and 2 small) in Pool Party and the trees in Garden Green.

I built the scene on the embossed panel starting with the mountains and adhered them with glue dots. I adhered the Garden Green Trees with glue dots and adhered the house with dimensionals. Lastly, I used dimensionals to adhere the two small line trees. I adhered a bunch of White Loose Snowflakes to the sky using glue dots.

For the inside of the mini card, I stamped the sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Snowy Wonder stamp set using Garden Green ink. I stamped the holly leaves in Garden Green and the berries in Poppy Parade.

The Stampin’ Up! Snowy Wonder stamp set is so versatile with so many different winter themes – snowflakes, a snowman, a penguin, a present and candy cane in addition to the trees, mountains and house I used on this card. And there are dies to cut them all out! Here’s a picture of the bundle.

Snowy Wonder Bundle – item 164125 $45.75

Note the snow globe dies – they coordinate with the images in the Snowy Scenes DSP. They’re calling ‘Shaker Card’ to me, filled with the loose snowflakes. Be sure to also check out the Snow Day Scrapbooking Workshop that will coordinate with this bundle. The details will be in the Scrapbooking Brochure that will also be available on September 4! So much to look forward to next month!

Stampin’ Up! Flowers of Beauty Happy Day Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Designer Series paper sale is ending soon, so I wanted to make a card with the pretty Unbounded Beauty designer series papers using the new 2024-2026 In Colors. Of course I paired it with the Stampin’ Up! Flowers of Beauty bundle and a sentiment from the So Sincere stamp set. You can find the products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

I was inspired by the pretty sketch in the Sunday Stamps SSC342 Sketch Time challenge:

I adhered a panel of Sunny Splash floral Unbounded Beauty designer series paper to the front of a Sunny Splash card base with liquid glue. I embossed a Basic White panel with the floral design in the Fun Patterns embossing folders and adhered it to a Sunny Splash mat. I adhered the panel to the card with liquid glue.

I cut a Sunny Splash panel with the large sprig die from the Stampin’ Up! Flowers of Beauty dies and adhered it to the card with liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the So Sincere stamp set using Petunia Pop ink on Pretty In Pink card stock and cut it out with the third largest Stylish Shapes circle die. I cut a mat by tracing the outline of the die on Petunia Pop card stock and fussy cutting. I adhered the sentiment to the mat and popped it on the card with dimensionals.

I cut a Petunia Pop glimmer sheet with the flower dies from the Stampin’ Up! Flowers of Beauty dies. I cut three large flowers and two small flowers. I adhered the large flowers with dimensionals and the small ones with glue dots. I adhered Pretty In Pink shimmer gems to the flower centers and added a Petunia Pop gem to the label.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the leaf sprig from the Stampin’ Up! Flowers of Beauty stamp set using Sunny Splash ink. This is a two step set, so I stamped the detailed stamp first in full strength ink and the filler stamp using stamped off ink. I used stamped off Petunia Pop ink to stamp the small triple flower stamp a couple of times. I trimmed the bottom with DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I love the shading you get with the two-step stamps in the Stampin’ Up! Flowers of Beauty stamp set. And it goes so beautiful with the Unbounded Beauty DSP which is on sale for a few more days at 15% discount!

Stampin’ Up! Adventurous Sky Birthday Card

Good Morning! Here’s a fun masculine fun fold birthday card made with the awesome Stampin’ Up! Adventurous Sky bundle and the wonderful Take To The Sky designer series paper. I was inspired by a card made by my Inkin’ Krew teammate Tara Carpenter a few weeks ago and you can find her card HERE (she has a video, too!). You can find the products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

I scored and burnished a panel of Take To The Sky designer series paper to make an accordion card base and adhered it to a Copper Clay card base panel. I cut another panel of the DSP with the largest circle in the Stylish Shapes dies. I traced the outside of the die on a Misty Moonlight panel and fussy cut it with my paper snip to make a mat and adhered the die cut to the mat with liquid glue. I adhered it to the front middle section of the card.

I used the large bi-plane dies from the Stampin’ Up! Adventurous Sky dies to cut the body of the plane from Copper Clay and the wings and propeller from Gray Granite. I used a black Stampin’ Write marker to color the wheels and adhered the die cuts together with liquid glue. I popped the plane on the card front with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Adventurous Sky stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on Basic White and cut it out with the banner die. I adhered it to the card with glue dots and finished it with an industrial trinket.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Adventurous Sky stamp set using Misty Moonlight ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the small bi-plane using Gray Granite ink and stamped several clouds using twice stamped off Misty Moonlight ink. I adhered the panel to a Copper Clay mat and adhered the layered panel to the little flap, being careful to only use liquid glue on the edge. I love this extra panel, it really makes the card special!

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Adventurous Sky stamp set using Misty Moonlight ink on a Basic White panel. I adhered it to a Misty Moonlight mat before adhering it to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Adventurous Sky bundle is perfect for flying fanatics, or someone who likes vintage machines. And this wonderful fun fold really allows the pretty DSP images to shine. The Take To The Sky designer series paper is included in the August DSP sale, but hurry, because the sale is ending soon.

Stampin’ Up! Autumn Expressions Sneak Peek

Good Morning! One of the pretty new bundles in the September-December 2024 Mini Catalog is the Stampin’ Up! Autumn Expressions bundle, a cling stamp and die set that is part of the Splendid Autumn Suite. It has beautiful sentiments and pretty fall images and gorgeous dies. I used the bundle with some of the pretty embellishments in the Suite for a fall note card with a change theme. You can find the currently available products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

I embossed a panel of Wild Wheat card stock with the Timber 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Wild Wheat card base with liquid glue.

I stamped the wheat stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Autumn Expressions stamp set using Wild Wheat ink on a Wild Wheat panel. I stamped it several times and stamped it again using the stamped off image. I adhered the panel to a Cajun Craze mat with liquid glue and popped it on the card with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Autumn Expressions stamp set in Cajun Craze ink on a Very Vanilla panel. I cut it out with the small side of the frame die. I cut the leaf sprig from Cajun Craze card stock and adhered it to a Woven Golden leaf (item 164059 – $9.00) with a glue dot. I adhered the layered leaves to the card with a glue dot and adhered the label on top with dimensionals. I tied a length of Wild Wheat Rustic ribbon (item 164061 – $8.50) and adhered it to the bottom with a glue dot. I finished with Faux Glass Dots (item 164060 – $8.50). All of these pretty embellishments are part of the new Splendid Autumn Suite and will be available on Sept 4, 2024.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the wheat from the Stampin’ Up! Autumn Expressions stamp set in Wild Wheat ink in the corner of a Very Vanilla panel. I stamped it several times and did some second generation stamping too. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Autumn Expressions bundle will be available on Sept 4, 2024 when the new Sept-Dec 2024 Mini Catalog opens for orders. My card design is based on one of the cards in the new catalog, but I did change it, adding additional embellishments. That’s part of the creative fun! Here’s a picture of the stamps and dies included in the bundle.

Autumn Expressions Bundle (item 164056 – $51.25)

Aren’t those sentiments gorgeous? This is the perfect bundle for fall crafting!
