Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Encouragement Card

Good morning – I hope you’re having a great weekend! I have been super busy this week and missed some of my blog posts, so thanks for checking back today! I made a pretty encouragement card with the awesome Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern bundle and the Forever Greenery designer series paper. The pretty designer series paper is on the retiring list and while the bundle will no longer be offered, both the stamp set and dies are in the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. So get the bundle now for the 10% discount! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut a panel of the Forever Greenery designer series paper with the third largest Stitched Rectangles dies and adhered it to an Old Olive mat. I adhered the layered DSP panel to the front of a Pretty Peacock card base. I stamped the round leaf cluster from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern cling stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on a Basic White panel and cut it out with the coordinating die from the Forever Flourishing dies.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on Basic White and cut it out with the second smallest long die from the Stitched Rectangles dies. I positioned the label with the leaf cluster die cut and a wooden leaf cluster from the In Good Taste Elements to make the arrangement for the card. I adhered the wooden leaf cluster with glue dots, the die cut leaf cluster with dimensionals and adhered the label on top with dimensionals.

I used the small detailed butterfly from the Brilliant Wings dies to cut a butterfly from Old Olive card stock. I adhered the butterfly to the label and leaf with glue dots and finished it with a Cinnamon Cider enamel dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the round leaf cluster from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink in the lower corner of a Basic White panel. I stamped it again on a post it note to create a mask and fussy cut the mask. I covered the leaves with the mask and stamped the long leaf cluster in Old Olive ink on top. This makes the Old Olive leaves look like they’re behind the Pretty Peacock leaves. I adhered the panel to an Old Olive mat and then adhered them bot to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set and dies are a favorite from the current catalog and I’m glad to see them returning! And I have to mention that the sentiments in this set are really beautiful too! And I’m so happy with the Brilliant Wings dies – every card can use a beautiful butterfly!!

Stampin’ Up! Hydrangea Haven for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Today I have a sweet floral card made with the Stampin’ Up! Hydrangea Haven bundle and the beautiful Hydrangea Hill designer series paper. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a color challenge this week, and here’s the beautiful color palette we’re using. Luckily all of these colors are in the beautiful Hydrangea Hill panel I chose, but I did use Seaside Spray, Misty Moonlight and Old Olive for my flower and sentiments.

I adhered a panel of Hydrangea Hill designer series paper to a Seaside Spray mat and popped it on the front of a Misty Moonlight card base with dimensionals. I stamped the outline of the hydrangea from the Stampin’ Up! Hydrangea Haven photopolymer stamp set in Old Olive ink on a Thick Whisper White panel. I stamped the solid leaves and stem over the outline image in Old Olive and cut out the flower with the coordinating die.

I used the top of the flower die to cut a Seaside Spray panel with the flower. After trimming the stem, I adhered it to the top of the Thick Basic White flower. I stamped the solid flower from the Stampin’ Up! hydrangea Haven stamp set in Seaside Spray ink on a Basic White panel. I cut it out with the pierced petal flower die and gently bent each petal upward. I adhered it to the Seaside Spray flower with tiny dots of liquid glue and adhered a pearl to each flower center. I applied some adhesive sheets to the back of the Old Olive panel and cut out the outline leaves and stem die. I peeled off the adhesive backing and applied it to the stem and leaves.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Hydrangea Haven stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on a Basic White panel and cut it out with the second largest Stitched So Sweetly scalloped Rectangle die. I adhered the label to the card front with liquid glue and popped the flower on with dimensionals. I adhered a Metallic Seaside Spray bow to the flower to finish the card front.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Hydrangea Haven stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the flowers in the corner in Seaside Spray ink and masked the flowers and added some leaves to the bottom. I trimmed the side of the panel with a strip of the Hydrangea Hill DSP and adhered the panel to a Seaside Spray mat before adhering it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Hydrangea Haven bundle is a great bundle for making hydrangeas, and it has so many sweet sentiments! And the Hydrangea Hill designer series paper is really beautiful!

Stampin’ Up! Seaside View Video Tutorial

Happy February! This is the card I made during my Facebook Live video tutorial yesterday afternoon featuring the Stampin’ Up! Seaside View cling stamp set in a card with a watercolor technique on the pretty image. And it was a perfect time for a dreamy beach scene, as it started snowing just before I went live. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

I embossed a Soft Sea Foam panel with the Seabed 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Soft Sea Foam card base. I adhered a panel of weathered wood from the In Good Taste designer series paper across the front and wrapped it twice with linen thread and made a bow.

I stamped the chair, trees and birds from the Stampin’ Up! Seaside View stamp set using Stazon ink on watercolor paper. I cut it out with the largest stitched square from the Stitched Shapes dies. I drew a line with a pencil for the horizon and colored the image in sections with the small water painter and inks. For the sand, sea and sky, I first brushed the section with the water painter to moisten the watercolor paper. Then I dabbed the ink on a stamp block and pulled some ink to mix with water from the water painter. The ink comes out dark at first and then lightens as more water flows through the water painter. I used Sahara Sand on the sand, Balmy Blue on the sky and Pacific Point and Bermuda Bay for the water. When I painted the water, I started with a dark Pacific Point line over the pencil line on the horizon and gradually shifted to Bermuda Bay by the shore. I also used Garden Green and Soft Suede inks for the trees and Cinnamon Cider and Daffodil Delight inks for the drink

I adhered the dried image to the card front with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Seaside View stamp set in Versamark Ink and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I heat set the embossing powder until it was shiny and cut the sentiment out with the long sentiment die from the Always dies. I pulled some Braided linen trim widthwise so it would be thicker and adhered it to the back of the label with glue dots. I adhered the layered label to the front of the card with dimensionals and finished off the card front with some sequins.

For the inside, I stamped the tree in Stazon ink on a Basic White panel. I colored the tree like the card front, but used my blender pen instead of the water painter, as I wanted the color to be more intense and I didn’t want to mess up the card stock. I adhered a strip of In Good Taste DSP to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The water coloring is slow, so I only colored portions of the image during the video. Afterwards, I finished the image I was working on, so I have it pictured here with the card I made. All the images in the Stampin’ Up! Seaside View stamp set would be great watercolored, and it’s relaxing and fun. Why not give it a try?

Stampin’ Up! Berry Blessings Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Sale A Bration is just around the corner, starting on January 5, 2021 and I have a sneak peek of a fabulous item that you can get. It’s the Stampin’ Up! Berry Blessings stamp set and Berry Delightful designer series paper. This is the card I made during my Facebook Live video tutorial yesterday afternoon and I use both items to make it. You can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

I started by embossing a panel of Night of Navy with the Subtle 3D embossing folder and adhering it to a Night of Navy card base. It’s too bad the the additional texture isn’t very visible in the photos, because this embossing folder adds beautiful striations to the front that contrast with the white lacy edge. I adhered a Whisper White panel to the back of the Berry Delightful designer series paper and adhered two strips of Whisper White that were cut with the Ornate Borders lacy die. I popped the panel on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the blueberries using stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Berry Blessings photopolymer stamp set on the Thick Whisper White panel. I stamped the leaves first, the outline in Shaded Spruce and the fill in Granny Apple Green. I stamped the blueberries in Night of Navy for the outline and Pacific Point for the filler. It’s fairly easy to position the filler stamps over the darker stamped outline images. I cut the image out with the large Octagon frame from the Hippo and Friends Dies and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals.

I added a Night of Navy bow with glue dots and three rhinestone gems to finish the card front.

I stamped the filler leaves and blueberries from the Stampin’ Up! Berry Blessings stamp set in Granny Apple Green and Pacific Point in the corners of a Whisper White panel after stamping off. The soft look without the outline images is a nice contrast and shows the versatility of this pretty stamp set. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Berry Blessings stamp set in Night of Navy and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Berry Blessings stamp set comes with the Berry Delightful designer series paper as a Sale A Bration item that is free with the purchase of $100 (before shipping and taxes) beginning on January 5, 2021. Sale A Bration is Stampin’ Up!’s biggest promotion of the year and runs through the end of February! You can see this pretty stamp set in the picture below with samples of the Berry Delightful DSP – note that the samples are 6″ x 6″ but the real DSP pack comes with 12 sheets of 12″ x 12″ double sided designer series paper!

I hope you consider this set as your Sale A Bration free item – I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

Stampin’ Up! Floating and Fluttering for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I have a sneak peek of the new Stampin’ Up! Floating And Fluttering bundle from the new Jan-Jun 2021 Mini Catalog. This is a pretty new butterfly bundle that I used to make an easy floating frame type of card, well just the inside part. Take a close look at the pictures and you’ll see that the butterflies are floating above the black patterned DSP with dimensionals. You can find the currently available supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week, and here is the pretty sketch we are using for our projects:

I embossed a panel of So Saffron card stock with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a So Saffron card base. I cut a panel of the the new True Love designer series paper (available January 5, 2021) from the new Jan-Jun 2021 Mini Catalog with the Stitched Rectangles Die.

I stamped two of the butterflies stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Floating And Fluttering photopolymer stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White. I colored them with Stampin’ Blends – Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, Poppy Parade, So Saffron, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party. I cut them out with the coordinating dies and laid them together and cut out the outline with the same Stitched Rectangle die that I used to cut out the True Love DSP.

I adhered the butterfly die cuts to the DSP with dimensionals – this gives them the appearance of floating above the DSP. I stamped the sentiment from the Floral Essence photopolymer stamp set in Versamark ink on a Basic Black panel and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I heat set the embossing powder until it was shiny and cut it out with the die from the Tasteful Labels dies. I adhered it to the card with glue dots and finished the card with three pearl gemstones.

I stamped the butterfly and leaf sprig from the Stampin’ Up! Floating And Fluttering stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White and colored them with Stampin’ Blends. I cut them out with the individual coordinating dies. I adhered a strip of the True Love DSP to the bottom of a Whisper White panel and adhered the leaf sprig and butterfly on top. I adhered the panel to a Basic Black mat and then to the inside of the card.

The new Stampin’ Up! Floating And Fluttering stamp set is a two step set with the big stamp with the outline images and lots of solid image stamps so you can use different colors on each butterfly and leaf sprig. The Fluttering Dies that come in the bundle has dies to cut out the butterfly grouping and dies to cut out each butterfly and leaf sprig individually (like I did for the inside of this card) – it’s so different! There is also a frame stamp and die and the pretty embossed butterfly die. You can see them all in the picture below and they will be available on January 5, 2021 when the new Jan-Jun 2021 Mini Catalog launches!

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden Sneak Peek

Good Afternoon! Today I have another card made with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden cling stamp set. The new Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ designer series paper is what really makes this card special though as I’ve used four different patterns from this pretty DSP pack to make this pretty card. You can find the currently available supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used. The Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set and the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ designer series paper will be available in the upcoming January – June 2021 Mini Catalog on January 5!

I adhered a panel of the Bumblebee striped Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP to the front of a Bumblebee card base with liquid glue. I adhered a strip of the Mossy Meadow leafy paper across the panel and wrapped it with a length of Mossy Meadow braided trim (available Jan 5) and tied a knot.

I cut a Bumblebee panel with the Stitched So Sweetly Die and adhered a panel of the small dandelion and dragonfly paper from the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP to the front. I cut a bumblebee from the bumblebee paper in the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP pack with the die from the Dandy Wishes Dies (available Jan 5) and popped it on the panel with a dimensional. I popped the panel on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Versamark ink on Blackberry Bliss and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I heat set the powder until it was shiny and cut it out with the Stitched So Sweetly die using the two step die cutting method. I adhered the label on the card front and frayed the ribbon ends. I finished the card front with three adhesive sequins.

I stamped the dragonflies from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on a Whisper White panel. I added a strip of the Bumblebee striped paper to the side and adhered it to the inside of the card

The sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set are really sweet and the dragonflies are wonderful. The Dandy Garden designer series paper is really pretty and so colorful – perfect for a dreary winter day! They will both be available when the new catalog goes live on January 5, 2021!

Stampin’ Up! Heal Your Heart Sneak Peek

Good Morning! Today am sharing a sneak peek of a new stamp set that will be part of the Sale A Bration sale that starts next month on January 5. It’s the Stampin’ Up! Heal Your Heart cling stamp set and it is one of the options that is FREE with a $50 purchase (before taxes and shipping). You can find the currently available supplies I used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped some of the leaves from the Touched My Heart cling stamp set in Pool Party on a panel of the pretty Snowflake Splendor designer series paper after stamping off. This gives is a very subtle flowing image that blends nicely with the watercolor look on the DSP. The Touched My Heart stamp set is a Host set and can be purchased only with host dollars that you receive when you have a workshop or place an order over $150. I adhered the panel to a Whisper White mat and popped it on the front of a Pool Party card base.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Heal Your Heart stamp set in Smoky Slate ink on a Pool Party panel and cut it out with the second largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies. I stamped the single leaf from the Touched my heart in Pool Party ink next to the sentiment.

I folded a length of sheer Pool Party Ribbon and adhered it to the card with Stampin’ seal and popped the circle on with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Heal Your Heart stamp set in Smoky Slate ink on a Whisper White panel and stamped the branch from Touched My Heart underneath in stamped off Pool Party. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Snowflake Splendor DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The font in the Stampin’ Up! Heal Your Heart stamp set are so beautiful and gentle. It’s so exciting that Sale A Bration is just around the corner. And did you hear that Sale A Bration is going to be different next year? Stampin’ Up! is going to have TWO Sale A Brations next year one in January & February and another in July & August! If you are new to Stampin’ Up! you need to know that Sale A Bration is the biggest Stampin’ Up! sale, where you get to choose free products from the Sale A Bration brochure for each $50 increment in your order. And it starts on January 5, 2021!
