Stampin’ Up! Band Together for Christmastime Is Here Card for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good Morning! Today it is time for the December Inkin’ Krew Monthly Blog Hop and the theme is “Celebrate!”. I made a birthday card with the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Band Together stamp bundle along with the Christmastime Is Here specialty designer series paper. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is my card:

I cut a panel of the pretty Christmastime Is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper with the small roses and mounted it on a Mossy Meadow mat with snail. I mounted it on a Cherry Cobbler card base with dimensionals.

I cut the large swirly filigree frame from the Detailed Band dies in the Stampin’ Up! Band Together bundle from Gold Foil and trimmed the bands. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Band Together stamp set in Versamark ink on Whisper White card stock. I sprinkled it with gold embossing powder and heat set. I cut it out with the oval die from the Detailed Band dies and adhered it to the top of the gold frame with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered the frame to the card base with dimensionals.

I decorated the inside by stamping the floral image from the Band together stamp set on a Whisper White panel using Cherry Cobbler ink after stamping off 5 times. I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink and added a strip of the Christmastime Is Here DSP to the bottom. I adhered the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat and then to the inside of the card with snail.

The filigree frames in the Stampin’ Up! Band Together bundle are so beautiful and elegant and really look nice with the equally elegant Christmastime Is Here specialty designer series paper. The paper is very versatile and should be considered for any celebration for a special person!

Stampin’ Up! Dressed To Impress Birthday Card

Good Morning! Today I have another sneak peek from the new Stampin’ Up! January – June 2020 Mini Catalog. The Stampin’ Up! Dressed To Impress bundle has some cute girly images – flowers, lipstick, heels and a purse – along with some witty sentiments. And the coordinating All Dressed Up dies make a cute little purse that holds 3 x 3 cards. It is so cute!! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped one of the floral images in Lovely Lipstick ink randomly along the bottom and sides of a Lovely Lipstick card base. Using the Stitched Rectangle die, I cut a panel of one of the floral papers in the Best Dressed DSP pack. I cut the large label from the Stitched Labels dies from vellum card stock and adhered it to the floral panel, applying the liquid glue under the circle and label. I cut a circle from Garden Green card stock using the large circle die from the Stitched Labels dies.

I stamped two shoes from the Stampin’ Up! Dressed To Impress photopolymer stamp set in Lovely lipstick on a panel of Whisper White and colored it with Light Cherry Cobbler and Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. I cut them out with the coordinating shoe die from the All Dressed Up dies and adhered them to the Garden Green circle along with 3 Lovely Lipstick enamel dots. I adhered the decorated circle to the vellum with dimensionals. I wrapped a length of Whisper White Baker’s twine around the panel and made a bow.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Dressed To Impress stamp set in Lovely Lipstick on a strip of Whisper White and cut it out with the label die from the All Dressed Up dies. I stamped a flower on Whisper White and colored it with Light Cherry Cobbler, Light Flirty Flamingo, Light Shaded Spruce and Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends. I cut it out with the coordinating die and adhered it to the label with liquid glue. I adhered the label to the floral panel with dimensionals and the floral panel to the stamped Lovely Lipstick card base with dimensionals as well.

I decorated the inside by stamping the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Perennial Birthday stamp set in Lovely Lipstick on a Whisper White panel. I cut a strip of the Best Dressed DSP that was previously cut with the stitched rectangle dies and stuck it on the bottom of the panel before adhering it to the inside of the card. The Stitched Rectangle dies have stitching on both the inside and outside, so why not take advantage of this decorative element?

I love the way the vellum label adds a little something to the card front without obscuring the pretty paper. And I love all the cute elements in this bundle and can’t wait to make a purse! Because … actually I’m more of a purse girl than a shoe girl – but I know a lot of ladies who can’t resist another pretty pair of shoes! How about you?

Stampin’ Up! Christmastime Is Here Birthday Card

Good Morning! The beautiful Stampin’ Up! Christmastime Is Here suite is finally available for a limited time beginning today and I made a birthday card using the beautiful Christmastime Is Here specialty designer series paper. The Christmastime Is Here DSP has three designs, one with large rose bouquets, one in Cherry Cobbler with diamonds and one with small roses. And it’s specialty because it has touches of gold foil throughout. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a panel of Old Olive card stock with the Stylish Scrolls embossing folder and adhered it to a Cherry Cobbler mat. I covered the bottom with a panel of the Stampin’ Up! Christmastime Is Here designer series paper with the small roses and wrapped a length of the gold shimmer ribbon around the seam. I adhered it in the back with snail and added some tape to secure it.

I die cut the large rose bouquet from the Christmastime is Here DSP and die cut another piece from Whisper White and adhered it to the back to stiffen it. I added it to the panel with dimensionals. I added 5 drops of shimmer crystal effects to the large rose so it looks like dew. I made a bow from the gold shimmer ribbon and adhered it with glue dots.

I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set in Versamark ink on a scrap of Cherry Cobbler. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set. I cut it out with the small label die from the Beautiful Boughs dies. I die cut it twice, so that it would be skinnier and fit the sentiment better. This was pretty easy since the edges are straight – I just shifted it over for the second cut, making sure the sentiment was centered. I adhered it to the card front with liquid glue and added a gold glitter enamel dot. With the front panel finished, I adhered it to a Thick Whisper White card base with dimensionals.

In the center of the inside panel, I stamped the large bouquet from the Stampin’ Up! Christmas Rose stamp set in Delicata gold ink on a Whisper White. I added a strip of the small rose paper to the bottom and adhered it to Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler mats before adhering it to the inside of the card.

The designs in the Stampin’ Up! Christmastime Is Here suite are beautiful and elegant and not just for Christmas. They will delight any lady with a winter birthday!

Stampin’ Up! New Wonders Birthday Card

Good Morning! I have a very special card today. This is a card that I made for my granddaughter’s birthday. She will turn 2 later this month and I chose the Stampin’ Up New Wonders cling stamp set for her card because the fairies remind me of her so much – she has the same round face, big eyes and baby curls. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started with a panel of Sparkle glimmer paper which I ran through the large Stitched lace die and adhered it to a Highland Heather card base. I stamped the little fairy with the the flowing hair from the Stampin’ Up! New Wonders stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a panel of Whisper White. I then rubbed the lower left corner with the embossing buddy and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in VersaMark ink. I sprinkled it with silver embossing powder and heat set.

I colored the fairy with Soft Suede, light Petal Pink, Highland Heather, So Saffron and Pool Party Stampin Blends and colored the hearts with the dark Real Red Stampin’ Blend. I cut the image with the Stitched Ovals dies and cut a matching mat from Highland Heather using the Layering Oval dies. I adhered the panel to the mat with liquid glue and added some gemstones which were colored with the dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blend.

I cut some leaf sprigs from Old Olive vellum with the Frosted Frames dies and glued them to the back of the oval. I attached the Oval to the card front with dimensionals. I wrapped a length of the Whisper White polka dot tulle ribbon around the card front and tied a bow.

On the inside of the card, I stamped some hearts and stars a couple of times from one of the fairy stamps by carefully inking just that part with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored them with the dark Real Red and Light Highland Heather Stampin’ Blend. I added a Mint Macaron mat and adhered it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! New Wonders stamp set is one of the host exclusives that are available only with Stampin’ Rewards that are available on orders over $150 or workshops with sales one $150. The fairies are so sweet and the sentiments are great too. I hope my granddaughter likes the card – she likes shiny and sparkly things, so I had to use the Sparkle paper for the lace. Thanks for visiting!

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Beauty Birthday Card

Good Morning! Today I have a rustic birthday card made with the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Beauty cling stamp set. This is one of the new sets from the Stampin’ Up! 2019 Holiday Catalog. This set has 3 realistic, adorable woodland creatures – a deer, fox and this sweet bunny. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

This card uses the layout from the Sunday Stamps SSC212 Circle Around Challenge. It’s a clean and simple layout that results in lovely cards.

Here’s my card for today

I started by stamping the little bunny from the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Beauty stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a panel of Whisper White. Next I stamped the little grass around the bottom of the bunny in Old Olive ink. Then I colored the image using light Crumb Cake, light Balmy Blue and light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. I finished it by coloring the bunny’s eye with a journaling pen and cut it out with a circle die from the Layering Circles dies.

Then I stamped the Birch cling stamp on a Thick Whisper White panel using Crumb Cake ink. Since the stamp is so large, I used my Stamparatus so I would get a good clean image, and it came out perfect! I cut the circle using the same die I used for the bunny and then sponged the edges lightly in Crumb Cake. I then ran it through the Subtle embossing folder.

I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Country Road stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock, wrapped it with white baker’s twine and clipped the ends. On a Soft Suede card base, I laid out the strip of wood grained DSP from the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper and then adhered it with liquid glue. I positioned the birch panel and then adhered the bunny in the circle with liquid glue. I then popped on the birch panel with dimensionals and added the sentiment banner.

The inside of the card has a strip of the birch paper over a strip of the Pressed Petals DSP on a Whisper White panel.

A simple rustic birthday card for a nature lover. Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!

Stampin’ Up! To A Wild Rose Birthday Card

Good Morning! Today’s card is a floral birthday card made with the pretty Stampin’ Up! To a Wild Rose cling stamp set. I think this is one of my favorite flower images and today I used it with the pretty floral lattice and label die cuts. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started by embossing a piece of Whisper White cardstock in the Layered Leaves embossing folder and attached it to a Whisper White mat. Then I popped it on a Thick Whisper White card base with dimensionals.

I die cut the floral lattice from So Saffron cardstock and die cut the label from Whisper White cardstock. These are both from the Wild Roses dies that coordinate with the Stampin’ Up! To A Wild Rose stamp set. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set in So Saffron ink on the label. I attached these to the card. Then I stamped the large rose outline image using So Saffron ink on a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I took the So Saffron Stampin’ Blends to color the flower, using the dark close to the center and under the petals, the light in the middle leaving the petal tips white. Then I cut it out with the coordinating die.

I colored the center with a Pumpkin Pie marker. I stamped the outline leaves using Shaded Spruce ink on Old Olive cardstock and cut them out with the coordinating die. I attached the leaves to the card and then attached the flower. I colored some seam binding ribbon from my stash with the So Saffron re-inker and water and made a bow. I tied a piece of the Polka Dot Tulle ribbon and attached it to the back of the bow and attached both to the label. I finished off the card with three clear small epoxy dots.

I decorated the inside of the card by stamping the outline rose image in So Saffron ink and did the same with the envelope.

This rose stamps beautifully when you use the other two stamps to layer the color on, so I was pleased at how pretty the flower came out with using just the outline stamp and coloring with Stampin’ Blends. Plus I love yellow roses, don’t you? Thanks for visiting!

Stampin’ Up! A Good Man Birthday Card

Good Morning! Today’s card is a masculine birthday card featuring the Stampin’ Up! A Good Man cling stamp set. This set has some great images and sentiments for making birthday and Father’s Day cards for the special men in your life.

I was inspired to use the layout in Sunday Stamps, SSC208 Sketch Fun. Be sure to check out the other fabulous entries in the challenge.

Now for today’s card – you can find supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started by taking a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock and running it through the Subtle embossing folder and adhering it to a Mossy Meadow mat with multipurpose liquid glue. I then took a piece of the Mint Macaron striped Magnolia Lane Memories and More card and attached the diamond strips from the retired Delightfully Detailed laser cut DSP and adhered them to the back. I attached this to a strip of mossy meadow cardstock and adhered this to the embossed panel.

I stamped the relaxed man napping in the lawn chair from the Stampin’ Up! A Good Man cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on a piece of Whisper White. I stamped the It’s your day sentiment in Mossy Meadow next to the man and colored the piece with Copic markers since I didn’t have the Stampin’ Blends in the colors I wanted to use. I cut out the image with a Layering Square die and then cut a mat from Mossy Meadow in the next larger size square die. I adhered these together and popped the image on the panel with dimensionals. I then used dimensionals to adhere the panel to a Mint Macaron card base and added some gold Metallic Pearls to finish off the picture.

On the inside of the card, I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the retired Rose Wonder stamp set since the font is similar to the font in the Stampin’ Up! A Good Man stamp set. I decorated it with another strip of the Magnolia Lane Memories and More card pack and a piece of embossed Sahara Sand. I added mats in Mossy Meadow and Sahara Sand and added it to the inside of the card

A nice simple masculine birthday card! Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!

Stampin’ Up! Best Catch Masculine Birthday Card

Good Monday Morning! Today I have a masculine birthday card using the wonderful Stampin’ Up! Best Catch stamp set. You can find the supplies I used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

First I cut the vertical panel in Garden Green and embossed it with the Woodland embossing folder. I then lightly sponged it in Soft Suede to give it depth. I attached it with snail to a Pretty Peacock card base. I put it aside to work on the card front elements. I stamped the hat and fishing creel from the Stampin’ Up Best Catch stamp set in Soft Suede ink on Crumb Cake cardstock. I colored the band on the hat using an old Dapper Denim marker and the colored the creel with Dark So Saffron and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I then die cut them using the coordinating dies from the Catch of the Day die set. I also die cut a set of cattails from Old Olive cardstock and colored the the tips using a brown marker.

I stamped the fish and the fish hook from the Stampin’ Up! Best Catch stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black in on Thick Whisper White cardstock. I colored the fish hook with Real Red, Crushed Curry and Garden Green Stampin’ Write Markers and the outside and feathers with the light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I then die cut it using the coordinating die. I colored the fish using various copic markers and then used the direct to paper technique to apply Versamark Ink to cover the fish. I then sprinkled clear embossing powder over it and heat set. When it was cool, I die cut it using the coordinating die.

I then die cut a large stitched circle from Pool Party cardstock. I stamped the ‘Happy Birthday’ greeting from the Country Road stamp set using Memento Tuxedo black ink and then embossed the stitched circle using the Subtle embossing folder to provide texture. I then die cut a larger circle in Basic Black for a mat. I then attached the reeds and fish hook with glue dots and the fish with dimensionals. I cut a piece of the copper trim and stretched it widthwise so that it resembles a net. I then attached it to the card base using a glue dot behind the creel. I then attached the creel and hat with glue dots and the circle using dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the leaping trout in soft suede ink on Whisper White after stamping off 3 times and then matted it with Garden Green and Black before attaching it to the inside of the card with snail.

I hope you enjoyed this card. It has a lot of elements after the CAS (clean and simple) cards last week and was fun to make.

There is a park in my town with ball fields, playgrounds and a trout fish hatchery! When the grandkids visited this Spring we took them to play at the playground and then went to see the fish. They really loved it!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Stampin’ Up! Varied Vases Birthday Card

Hello! Today’s project is a layered floral birthday card with red tulips in a navy vase featuring the Stampin’ Up! Varied Vases photopolymer stamp set.

My card was inspired by two challenges going on this week. The first challenge is the Sunday Stamps SSC207 Summer Adventure:

The inspiration and colors perfectly capture my current mood – finding relief from the hot humid summer! The second challenge is the Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge #317.

This simple sketch is really great for handmade cards with the layered look! Head over to both of these challenges to be inspired by the design teams and other challenge players. Now for today’s card – you can find supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started by cutting a piece of the retired Wood Textures DSP. I stamped the birthday wishes sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Varied Vases photopolymer stamp set in Night of Navy on the bottom of the DSP and adhered it to a Night of Navy Card base. I used the large narrow rectangle in the Stitched Rectangles dies to cut a piece of Seaside Spray cardstock and then ran it through the Subtles embossing folder. I took a piece of White Bakers twine and dyed it red using a couple of drops of Cherry Cobbler re-inker mixed with a couple of squirts of water on a paper plate. I then took the twine and swooshed it in the red water and let it dry. Once dry, I wrapped it around the Seaside Spray die cut and tied a bow.

I next stamped the tall vase from the Stampin’ Up! Varied Vases stamp set on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock and Punched it out using the Vase Builder punch. I next stamped three of the tulip shapes in Cherry Cobbler on Real Red scraps and then punched them out as well. I finally stamped the leaf using Old Olive ink on a scrap of Old Olive cardstock and punched it out as well. Boy, it felt good to use up some of those small scraps I always seem to save!

Then I cut a stitched oval from the Stitched Shapes dies in Whisper White and a Real Red scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals dies. I glued these together with multipurpose liquid glue. I positioned the elements on the panel and drew the stems with an Old Olive Stampin’ Write marker. I glued the leaf on with the multipurpose liquid glue and attached the flowers with mini dimensionals. I used regular dimensionals to attach the vase.

I attached the Seaside Spray embossed panel to the card with dimensionals and then the oval focal piece using dimensionals on the right and glue dots on the left where it overlapped the Seaside Spray panel. I finished off the card front with 3 large faux pearls colored with the dark Real Red Stampin’ Blend. So pretty and patriotic!

I finished off the inside of the card by stamping the sentiment in Night of Navy on a Whisper White panel. I attached a strip of the DSP to the bottom and stamped a tulip in Real Red in the upper right corner. I attached the panel to a Seaside Spray mat and attached it to the inside of the card using snail adhesive.

The Stampin’ Up! Varied Vases photopolymer stamp set is so versatile because it has so many images and great sentiments. The Vase Builder Punch is a must have for easily creating dimensional cards, although the images in the stamp set are also great without the punch for creating clean and simple flat cards.

Thanks for visiting today and have a great weekend!

Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions Birthday Card

Good Morning! Today I am participating in another Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s Blog Hop is Birthday and I can’t wait to see everyone’s Stampin’ Up! Birthday projects.

I am sharing a feminine grunge/vintage birthday card using the Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions stamp set . I love this set and the colorful DSP that came out with it in last year’s Annual Catalog, so it was a challenge to come up with another color scheme and vintage look for this stamp set. So here’s my card.

My card’s layout was inspired by the Try Stampin’ On Tuesday Challenge 411 where the optional theme of grunge/vintage made me look at this stamp set in a new light.

I decided to give it a try because there are so many beautiful vintage themes and inspiration in the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. I decided that I needed to use the beautiful new Stitched Lace Die as the background and of course I needed to have Blushing Bride cardstock peeking through the lace. I also used some Sahara Sand ink and sponged the edge of the lace to add a little grungy age to the lace.

Continuing with the Blushing Bride color theme, I used the Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impression roses and leaves stamps to create a DSP with the look of vintage roses. The roses have three stamps that layer on top of each other and I took the thickest one and randomly stamped the flower on a strip of whisper white. I stamped off each time to get a lighter base. I took the second stamp and stamped over the first images, again stamping off each time. Finally I took the third stamp with the thinnest lines and stamped full strength on each flower. Then I did the same thing with the leaves, first using the thickest image and stamping off with Old Olive ink, followed by the thinner lined image. I finished off the panel by lightly sponging with Sahara Sand all over.

I cut a square frame using the two largest Stitched Shapes square framelits. Then I stamped the flower picture using the Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions posy flowers and stems. I stamped the stems in Old Olive after stamping off once and stamped the flowers using the new In Color Seaside Spray, again stamping off once. The seaside spray goes really well with the blushing bride to give the old fashioned shabby pink and blue look. I finally stamped the ‘Happy Birthday’ greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Piece of Cake stamp set in Sahara Sand ink, and again lightly sponged the image with Sahara Sand before gluing it to the frame with multipurpose liquid glue.

To assemble the card front, I glued the lacy background to Blushing Bride and attached it to a Crumb Cake card base with dimensionals. I added a bit of the newly retired very vanilla lace ribbon to the bottom of the stamped vintage rose panel and adhered it to the lacy background with snail. I trimmed a little piece of the stamped vintage rose panel to make a fishtail banner and added some more lace and the pink cord from the Hugs from Shelley Paper Pumpkin kit to make a little tassel to hang from the bottom of the picture frame. I attached this to the lacy background with dimensionals and trimmed the flowers with faux pearls.

On the inside of the card, I added another strip of the vintage rose panel and sponged the edges of a Whisper White panel with Sahara Sand. I attached this to a Blushing Bride mat and finally to the card base with snail adhesive.

I was pleased with how old fashioned this card looked, and I think it came out pretty too! I’m glad to have found a new look for this versatile stamp set!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy everyone’s wonderful projects on the blog hop!
