Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo Birthday Card

Good Morning! Here’s a simple birthday card using the cute raccoon from the Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo bundle. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Emboss a panel of Pool Party card stock with the large polka dots from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders. These embossing folders can only be found in the Online Store, so don’t worry about not finding them in the new catalog. Adhere the embossed panel to the front of a Pool Party card base with liquid glue.

Cut a fishtail banner in the bottom of a strip of Zoo Crew designer series paper with paper snips and color the flowers and leaves with Stampin’ Blends – light Petal Pink for the flower petals, light Lemon Lolly for the flower centers and light Granny Apple Green for the leaves. With a blending brush, apply Pool Party ink to the background and adhere it to the card front with liquid glue. Cut the small banner from the Nested Essentials dies from Petal Pink and adhere it with liquid glue. Cut the small flower from the Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo dies from Lemon Lolly and adhere it to the small banner. Make a bow from black and white Gingham ribbon and adhere it to the card with a glue dot.

Stamp the cute raccoon and balloons from the Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo photopolymer stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White. Color the raccoon with Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends and the balloons with dark Pool Party, dark Lemon Lime Twist, dark Lemon Lolly and dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends. Stamp the sentiment on Basic White using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut out the circle with the second largest circle from the Stylish Shapes dies. Adhere the circle to the card with liquid glue and pop the raccoon and balloons on the card with dimensionals. Finish with three small black dots.

For the inside of the card, stamp the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White. Stamp the confetti in Memento Tuxedo Black and color it with Lemon Lime Twist, Petal Pink, Pool Party and Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends. Color a strip of Zoo Crew DSP like the front banner and adhere it to the panel before adhering the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The little critters from the Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo bundle are so cute and perfect for birthdays.

Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo with Happy Hedgehogs Friendship Card

Good Morning! See you later alligator! I used the cute alligator from the Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo bundle and I wanted to make a little park scene for him to ride his bike. The Happy Hedgehogs stamp set was perfect! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped the trees from the Happy Hedgehogs stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White, along with some tufts of grass. I colored the scene with Stampin’ Blends – light Flirty Flamingo for the flowers, light Pecan Pie for the tree trunks and light Granny Apple Green for the leaves and grass. I used blending brushes to apply Granny Apple Green ink to the ground and Balmy Blue and Azure Afternoon inks to the sky. I adhered a strip of Smoky Slate card stock to the bottom and cut it out with the third largest Deckled Rectangle die.

I adhered a strip of Zoo Crew designer series paper to the front of a Lemon Lime Twist card base. I wrapped it with Lemon Lime Twist ribbon and tied a loopy bow on the side. I adhered the scene to a Basic Black mat and popped it on the card front with dimensionals.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo dies to cut the alligator from the Zoo Crew DSP. I cut another one from Basic White card stock and adhered them together with liquid glue – it makes the die cut thicker. i colored the die cut with Stampin’ Blends – light Azure Afternoon for the bike, dark Smoky Slate for the seat and tires, both Crumb Cakes for the basket and light Lost Lagoon for the leaves. I popped the alligator on the card front with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White. I stamped the butterfly from the Happy Hedgehogs stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Lemon Lime Twist, Petal Pink, Lost Lagoon and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I cut the panel out with the third largest Deckled Rectangles die. I adhered a panel of Zoo Crew DSP to the inside of the card with liquid glue and adhered the die cut panel on top with liquid glue.

The Happy Hedgehogs tree is perfect for Spring. Isn’t riding a bike in the park the perfect Spring afternoon activity? Especially if you are a Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo alligator!

Stampin’ Up! Friendly Gnomes Spring Card

Good Morning! Whimsical garden gnomes have decorated our flower beds for the past couple of years and with the weather warming up, I knew I had to make a card with the Stampin’ Up! Friendly Gnomes stamp set before they retired. I paired this cute stamp set with the Happy Forest Friends designer series paper for a faux side step fun fold card to share today. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I used panels of Calypso Coral Happy Forest Friends designer series paper as mats and I adhered one to each panel of Happy Forest Friends DSP for my card. I used a strip of greenery for the first step and adhered it to the Pear Pizzazz card base. I used a forest scenery panel for the middle step and adhered it to the card. I used a tall forest scenery panel to adhere to the pear Pizzazz faux side step. I adhered the faux side step to the first step with Tear N Tape adhesive, burnished the score line and used Tear N Tape to adhere the back to the back of the card. It’s so easy to make, compared to the careful scoring and cutting for a regular side step card.

I stamped the two gnomes from the Stampin’ Up! Friendly Gnomes cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Stampin’ Blends. I used So Saffron, Calypso Coral, Pecan Pie (a new color available on May 2, 2023), Balmy Blue, Petal Pink, Bubble Bath (another new color available on May 2, 2023) and Old Olive. I cut the gnomes out with the coordinating dies and adhered them to the cad with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Friendly Gnomes stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White and adhered it to a mat and Pear Pizzazz panel. I adhered it to the front of the card with glue dots and finished the card front with Calypso Coral resin glowers and a Linen Thread bow.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Friendly Gnomes stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the floral sprig and grass and colored them with Stampin’ Blends. I adhered the panel to a DSP mat and then to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I even decorated the back of the card with another forest scene panel! And I layered another panel of Happy Forest Friends to the top of the faux side step. This area could also be covered with another decorated Basic White panel and used to write a personal message.

Both the Stampin’ Up! Friendly Gnomes stamp set and the Happy Forest Friends designer series paper are retiring (and so is Pear Pizzazz!) so now is a good time to pick up these products for your Springtime gnomes card!

Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo Sneak Peek and Video Tutorial

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo bundle and the coordinating Zoo Crew designer series paper are new items that are coming in the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog that goes live on May 2, 2023. The Zoo Crew Suite is such a fun critter themed set that covers all kinds of activities and is perfect for fun, light hearted cards for everyone. I made this card during my Facebook Live yesterday and you can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

You can watch my FB Live video on my Facebook page HERE. I also posted the video to my YouTube Channel and you can view it HERE.

I adhered a panel of Zoo Crew designer series paper to the front of a Lost Lagoon card base with liquid glue. I stamped strips of Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo, Lost Lagoon and Lemon Lime Twist with different stitches from the Stitches cling stamp set (retired) in Versamark ink and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I shook off the excess and heated the powder with my heat tool until it was bright and shiny. I adhered the strips to the card front with liquid glue.

I used the third largest scalloped rectangle die from the Scalloped Contours dies to cut a panel of Petal Pink. I used the alpaca from the Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo dies to cut an alpaca from the Zoo Crew DSP and cut another one from Basic White. I adhered the two die cuts together with liquid glue and adhered the layered die cut to Petal Pink scalloped rectangle with dimensionals. I used the dies to cut a little table from Crumb Cake, a vase from Pool Party and a set flowers from So Saffron. I adhered the table, vase and flowers to the scalloped rectangle with glue dots and adhered the rectangle to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Lemon Lime Twist. I cut it out with the circle die from the Radiating Stitches die and adhered it to the card with glue dots and dimensionals. I finished with a black gingham bow and Parakeet Party dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the stitches in Flirty Flamingo, Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon and Lemon Lime Twist on the bottom of a Basic White panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

It was refreshing to stamp with the new colors, but I also felt sentimental and had to pull in some retiring favorites. I’ve loved the Stitches stamp set since it first came out, but it was when I saw the knitting alpaca from the Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo bundle that I found the perfect way to use it. The new bundle, DSP and colors will be available on May 2, 2023. It will be here before you know it!

Here’s my card with the Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo cling stamp set and Zany Zoo dies:

Here’s a picture of the Zoo Crew designer series paper pack. The coordinating colors are Petal Pink, Pumpkin Pie Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party Crumb Cake and Basic Black.

The new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog will open for orders on May 2, 2023!
