Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I have a sneak peek of some of the new 2022 – 2024 In Colors today in the Hello card I made with the Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms cling stamp set. I love the bold stamped flower images in this set and they look great with the new In Colors! You can find the currently available supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch this week and here is the pretty sketch we are using:

I adhered a panel of the new Sweet Sorbet In Color 6″ x 6″ designer series paper (available May 3) to the front of a Sweet Sorbet card base. I cut a basic white panel with the second largest scalloped rectangle from the scalloped contours dies. I stamped the long leaf sprig from the Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms stamp set three times in the new In Color Parakeet Party ink (available May 3) on the scalloped rectangle. I stamped the double leaves in Garden Green on each side.

I applied a small strip of Stampin’ Seal in the middle of the panel and looped a length of Poppy Parade and white baker’s twine around the panel. I stamped the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms stamp set in the new In Colors – one in Sweet Sorbet and the other in Tahitian Tide (both available on May 3). I fussy cut the flowers and adhered them to the panel with dimensionals over the baker’s twine.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms stamp set in Versamark ink on Basic Black and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I shook off the excess powder and heated the sentiment with my heat tool until it was shiny. I cut out the sentiment with the small banner die from the new Stylish Shapes dies (available May 3) and adhered it over the panel flowers with glue dots and dimensionals. I adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals and finished it with small Black Matte Dots.

For the inside, I stamped the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms stamp set in Sweet Sorbet in the bottom corner of a Basic White panel. I covered it with a mask and stamped the long leaf spring in Parakeet Party. I adhered a strip of Sweet Sorbet DSP to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The new In Colors are bold and bright and fun. The Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms stamp set perfectly capture the excitement of the new colors! I compared the new Sweet Sorbet card stock with the other reds in the Stampin’ Up! color families so you can see the differences. I initially thought it would be more pink, but it’s really just a light red and goes well with both Real Red and Poppy Parade. All the new In Colors will be available when the upcoming 2022-2023 Annual Catalog goes live on May 3!

Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms Hello Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms bundle is a pretty floral cling stamp set that comes with sweet sentiments and a two sided punch that punches out leaves on one side and flowers on the other. The flowers are solid graphic floral designs rather than line art designs and they are very versatile. Today I made my own DSP panel in Polished Pink, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade with these pretty floral stamps, and I pulled in the little flower from the Lovely You stamp set as well. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Polished Pink 2021-2023 In Color designer series paper to the front of a Thick Basic White card base. I stamped the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms stamp set in Polished Pink and Daffodil delight randomly on a Basic White panel. I stamped a few leaves in Granny Apple Green and finally used the little flower from the Lovely You stamp set to fill in the spaces with Poppy Parade.

I used the scalloped edge die from the Penned Flowers die to cut the edge of a Granny Apple Green panel and adhered the stamped panel on top. I adhered the layered panel to the front of my card. I used the bough punch from the Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms bundle to punch a Granny Apple Green leaf sprig and a Daffodil Delight flower sprig.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms stamp set in Granny Apple Green on Basic White and cut it out with the banner die from the Give It A Whirl dies. I used the Messages die to cut a banner from the Polished Pink 2021-2023 In Color DSP and cut it in half. This allowed me to adhere each piece of the die cut and get the overlap to the right length. I adhered the punched leaves and flowers with glue dots and the label with dimensionals and finished with a little bumblebee trinket!

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flower and leaf from the Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms stamp set in Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green on a Basic White panel. I added some Poppy Parade flowers from the Lovely You stamp set and trimmed the side with a strip of DSP .

The Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms bundle is a wonderful floral stamp set for Spring and it can be easily combined with other solid flower stamp sets in your stash. I love the random stamping technique to make my own DSP because I can use whatever colors I feel like. This stamp set is perfect for the job.

Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy St. Patrick’s Day and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Today I used the pretty Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms bundle to make a little miss you card. This bundle comes with a pretty set of cling floral stamps with sweet sentiments and a two sided punch that punches out leaves on one side and flowers on the other. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a Sketch Challenge this week and here’s the pretty sketch that inspired my card:

I used the fourth largest die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies to cut out a panel of the pretty Abstract Beauty 4″ x 6″ specialty designer series paper and adhered it to a Just Jade mat. I punched two leaves with the Bough Punch from the Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms bundle from Mint Macaron and adhered them to the panel with glue dots. I punched three flowers and adhered them to the panel with glue dots. I adhered the panel to the front of a Balmy Blue card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the large flower from the Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms stamp set in Polished Pink and fussy cut it out with a thin white edge. I adhered the flower to the card with dimensionals and made a double bow with white crinkle ribbon and tucked it under the flower, adhering it with a glue dot.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms stamp set in Versamark ink and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I shook off the excess powder and heat set the sentiment until it was shiny. I cut the sentiment out with the second smallest long skinny rectangle from the Stitched Rectangles dies and adhered it to a Just Jade mat. I popped it on the card front with dimensionals and finished the card front off with adhesive sequins.

For the inside, I stamped the large flower from the Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms stamp set in Polished Pink in the corner of a Basic White panel. I made a mask from copy paper and covered the flower and stamped the leaves in Mint Macaron and the small flowers in daffodil delight. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Abstract Beauty DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms bundle is really sweet and the perfect set for making springtime floral cards for every occasion.
