Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! December birthdays are tough, so I wanted to make a birthday card with Christmas colors. So I paired the pretty Christmas themed Fitting Florets designer series paper with the beautiful floral bouquet from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home bundle. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch challenge this week and here is the pretty card sketch I tried to follow for today’s card:

I adhered a panel of Fitting Florets designer series paper to the front of an Evening Evergreen card base. I adhered a panel of Soft Succulent DSP on top with liquid glue. I stamped four greenery sprays from the Flowers of Home dies from Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent and adhered them to the card front with glue dots.

I stamped the large bouquet from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel and cut it out with the coordinating die. I colored the flowers and leaves with Stampin’ Blends, doing some light shading with a lot of help from the stamp shading. I used Soft Succulent on the leaves, Real Red, So Saffron, Soft Suede, Fresh Freesia and Pale Papaya on the flowers. I used some light Smoky Slate to accent the shade marks on the large white flowers. I made a loopy Bow with white crinkle ribbon and cut lengthwise a length of Evening Evergreen ribbon and tied it. I adhered the ribbon to the card front with glue dots and popped the flowers on top with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home stamp set in Versamark ink on a strip of Evening Evergreen. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and shook off the excess. I heated the powder with my heat tool until it was bright and shiny and cut the sentiment out with the long label die from the Sending dies. I adhered the label to the card with glue dots and finished the card front with iridescent pearls.

For the inside of the card, I stamped part of the floral bouquet in the lower right corner of a Basic White panel. I trimmed the side with a strip of Fitting Florets DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I love how the white flowers in the bouquet pop against the Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen background. And the Real Red flowers tie into the Christmas themes while still making a pretty birthday card. I hope that this inspires you to make a handmade birthday card for your December birthdays, even though it’s such a busy time.

Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home Congratulations Card

Good Morning! I used the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home bundle with the Heart & Home designer series paper for a feminine Congratulations card. And I used the sentiments from the Happy and Heartfelt cling stamp set for my greetings – I love their quirky casualness! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Heart & Home designer series paper to a Basic White mat and popped it to the front of a Garden Green card base with dimensionals. I cut another panel with the fourth a Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue. I applied Pale Papaya ink to a blending brush and colored the back of a Heart & Home doily. I trimmed an end and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue.

I cut two sprigs from Garden Green using the Flowers of Home dies and adhered them with liquid glue. I stamped the pretty flower from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home cling stamp set in Basic Gray ink on Basic White and colored the flowers with Pale Papaya, Daffodil Delight and Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends. I used the new Natural Tones Medium markers (SU500 and SU600) to color the Pale Papaya flower centers. Since there isn’t a Garden Green Stampin’ Blends combo pack, I used a blender pen and Garden Green ink pad to color the leaves. The Basic Gray ink was pretty dry so it didn’t smear, so I was glad, but I used a light touch. I cut out the flower with the coordinating die and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Happy and Heartfelt stamp set in Garden Green on a strip of woodgrain Heart & Home DSP and cut it out with the Stylish Shapes banner die. I finished the card front with some Wink of Stella to add sparkle to the flowers.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Happy & Heartfelt stamp set in Garden Green on a Basic White panel. I stamped the flowers in the corners in Basic Gray and colored them the same way as I colored the flowers on the front. I ahdered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home stamp set are beautiful and perfect for many occasions. With graduations coming up, it’s a good time to think about congratulations cards, and I hope you like these sentiments as much as I do.

Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home Thank You Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home bundle is one of the prettiest floral sets in the new Jan-Jun Mini Catalog with vintage dainty florals and coordinating dies. I used the bundle with the beautiful Heart & Home designer series paper, the Scalloped Contours dies and the sweet little thank you sentiment and tag from the Hydrangea Haven bundle. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut a panel of Garden Green Heart & Home designer series paper with the large scalloped border die from the Scalloped Contours dies and adhered it to another panel of Heart & Home designer series paper. I adhered the layered panel to a Basic White mat and adhered it to the front of a Pale Papaya card base.

I stamped the small floral bouquet from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a panel of Shimmery White card stock. I colored the image with my water painters and Garden Green, Daffodil Delight, Cinnamon Cider, and Fresh Freesia inks. I was careful not let the water painters get too moist since I was not using Stazon ink. After the inks dried, I cut the flower out with the coordinating die. I cut a Basic White panel with the Scalloped Contours die and used a blending brush to apply some Pool Party ink to the background. I cut two of the Flowers of Home dies from Fresh Freesia and adhered them to the panel with liquid glue and popped the watercolored bouquet on top with dimensionals.

I popped the art piece on the front of the card with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set in Versamark ink on a Garden Green panel and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I shook off the excess and heat set the powder with my heat tool until it was shiny. I cut it out with the tag die and popped it on the card front with dimensionals. I added a white baker’s twine bow and finished the card front with Genial Gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the small floral bouquet from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home stamp set in Memento Tuxedo black in the corners of a Basic White panel. I adhered a strip of Heart & Home DSP to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I love the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home bundle! It has a vintage, shabby chic feel that is pretty, sweet and feminine!

Stampin’ Up! Blessings Of Home Sneak Peek

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Annual Convention was held virtually last weekend, and it was so much fun! I learned so much and we made three beautiful projects with a new bundle from the upcoming January-June 2021 Mini Catalog – the Stampin’ Up! Blessings Of Home bundle. I did make some minor changes to the original designs, but it was so much fun to make the cards, each with different techniques! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

For the first card, I used the pretty Heart & Home designer series paper as the background – I matted it with Basic White and stamped the pretty floral Bouquet from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home in Misty Moonlight on Shimmery White paper. I used sponge daubers to add Misty Moonlight and Garden Green to some of the flowers and leaves and cut it out with the coordinating die. I adhered the image to the DSP and wrapped it with denim ribbon and adhered it to the front of a Garden Green card base. Then I stamped the label in Misty Moonlight and cut it out with a stitched rectangle die and adhered it to the card with dimensionals. I finished it off with a denim ribbon bow and pearls.

For the second card, I stamped the posy image from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home stamp set in Cinnamon Cider on the front of a Cinnamon Cider note card base. I adhered a panel of Heart & Home DSP to the front and stamped the image in Cinnamon Cider on Shimmery White. I used a water painter to color the flower petals lightly with Cinnamon Cider ink and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I cut some of the flowers and stems from the Flowers of Home dies in Fresh Freesia, cinnamon Cider and Garden green and adhered them to the card front. I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight on Shimmery White and adhered a folded denim ribbon to the back before popping it on the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card with Genial Gems.

For the third card, I embossed a panel of Fresh Freesia with the Timber 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Fresh Freesia Card base. I adhered a panel of Hearth & Home DSP to a Garden Green mat and popped it on the card front with dimensionals. I colored a vellum doily with Fresh Freesia ink using a blending brush and adhered it with liquid glue. I cut some Cinnamon Cider with the Flowers of Home dies and adhered them to the card with liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home stamp set in Cinnamon Cider ink on Hearth & Home DSP, cut it out with a stitched rectangle die and adhered it to a Garden Green mat and then to the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card with more Fresh Freesia die cut flowers and Champagne rhinestones.

The Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home bundle is really beautiful and has wonderful sentiments. The Hearth & Home designer series paper has a beautiful Shabby Chic look with beautiful gray wood grain on the flip side of the soft florals. Here are pictures of the stamp set, dies and designer series paper. Remember, these items will be available on January 4, 2022 when the new January – June 2022 Mini Catalog goes live!
