Stampin’ Up! Irresistible Blooms for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! The Stampin’ Up! Irresistible blooms bundle is a beautiful new bundle that is in the Online Exclusives section in the Online Store. It has gorgeous florals and beautiful sentiments! It’s so popular that the dies and the beautiful Hello Irresistible 6″ x 6″ designer series paper are sold out – but don’t worry because more is on the way! I used both the bundle and the DSP to make a simple, sweet thank you card. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch challenge this week:

I cut a panel of Hello Irresistible 6″ x 6″ designer series paper with the 3rd largest stitched rectangles die. I adhered the die cut panel to a Flirty Flamingo mat with liquid glue and then adhered the layered panel to the front of a Petal Pink card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the beautiful sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Irresistible Blooms cling stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink on Basic White. I cut it out with the curvy rectangle label die from the Painted Labels dies and adhered it to the card with liquid glue.

I used the dies from the Stampin’ Up! Irresistible blooms dies to cut two leaf clusters and a large flower from the Hello Irresistible 6″ x 6″ DSP. I adhered the leaves to the card with liquid glue and adhered the flower with dimensionals. I brushed some Wink of Stella on the flower to add some sparkle and adhered iridescent pearls to the card for shine.

For the inside of the card, I kept it simple, adhering a strip of Hello Irresistible DSP to the side of a Basic White panel and adhering the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal. This leaves plenty of room to write a personal message.

The Stampin’ Up! Irresistible Blooms bundle and Hello Irresistible 6″ x 6″ DSP will not be listed in any catalog and will be available only in the Online Store as part of the New Online Exclusives collection. These gorgeous products make it so easy to make pretty cards!

Stampin’ Up! Best Butterflies for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning! Welcome to the February Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is “Celebrate Spring” and I used the sweet Stampin’ Up! Best Butterflies bundle to make a simple fun fold Birthday card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Starry Sky Butterfly Kisses 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to a panel of Crushed Curry card stock with liquid glue. I adhered a panels of floral butterfly Butterfly Kisses 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the front and inside panels of the Crushed Curry mini card and adhered the mini card to the front of the main card base with liquid glue.

I cut two Basic White circles with the second largest Stylish Shapes circle die. On the first one, I stamped the dots from the Stampin’ Up! Best Butterflies photopolymer stamp set in Crushed Curry ink several times. I cut a Fresh Freesia scalloped circle using the second largest scalloped circle from the Layering Circles die and adhered it to the back of the stamped Basic White circle with liquid glue. I adhered it to the mini card front flap, being careful to apply the adhesive to only one side of the circle.

I cut two sets of wings using the Butterfly Builder dies in the Stampin’ Up! Best Butterflies bundle from different patterns of the Butterfly Kisses 6″ x 6″ DSP. I cut a large butterfly body from Starry Sky and adhered the wings to the body with glue dots to make the large butterfly on the front. I adhered the butterfly to the circle with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Sweetest Cherries stamp set in Versamark ink on Starry Sky. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and shook off the excess. I heated the powder with my heat tool until it was bright and shiny and cut it out with the skinny long banner from the Stylish Shapes dies. I adhered it to the mini card, being careful to apply the adhesive to the left side of the label.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Best Butterflies stamp set in Starry Sky ink on the second die cut circle. I adhered the circle to the inside of the mini card under the front flap circle. I cut the large butterfly from Starry Sky and the smaller butterfly from Calypso Coral and adhered them to the inside with liquid glue.

I finished the card with gold adhesive sequins around the mini card. I like how I can extend the mini card front design into the inside with the die cuts, DSP and sequins!

A happy, colorful butterfly birthday card to Celebrate Spring! This was a fun card to make and the Stampin’ Up Best Butterflies bundle is fun to play with – you can make all sorts of butterflies!

Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery Congratulations Card

Good Morning! I love how the designer series papers from the January – April Mini Catalog go so well with the stamps and bundles from the Annual Catalog. Yesterday, I made a cute card with the A Fish & A Wish stamp bundle and the By The Bay DSP and today I’m combining the wonderful Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set with the beautiful Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ designer series paper for another simple card. Both of these have a modern, impressionistic style that works perfect together. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I used the pretty sketch in the Sunday Stamps SSC304 Sketch Time! challenge for inspiration today. Here is the sketch:

I embossed a panel of Soft Sea Foam with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder and used a blending brush to apply Soft Sea Foam ink lightly around the outside. This emphasized the embossed texture and provided a subtle contrast to the card base. I adhered the embossed panel to the front of a Soft Sea Foam card base.

I cut a panel of Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ designer series paper with the 4th largest Stitched Rectangle Die. I adhered the die cut rectangle to a Calypso Coral mat with liquid glue and adhered the layered panel to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink on Petal Pink and cut it out with the large label from the Floral Gallery dies using the two step method so that it would be extend wider than the DSP layer. I adhered it to a Calypso Coral mat and then to the card front with liquid glue. I finished the card front with Pale Papaya opal rounds.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the detailed large flower from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set in Calypso Coral ink on a Basic White panel. I inked up the filler stamp with Petal Pink ink and stamped over the detailed flower – this was the easy way for me to line the two images up. I stamped the large stem and leaves in Sea Foam ink under the flower and stamped another leaf to extend the left leaf. I colored the center with the light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend. I used the same technique to stamp part of another flower on the side of the panel before adhering it to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I really love how the stamped flowers on the inside of the card pick up on the flowers in the Fancy Flora DSP on the card front. And the simple font on the sentiment doesn’t detract from the artistry of the DSP or the stamped flowers. I should note that the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set is great for it’s sentiments!

Stampin’ Up! A Fish And A Wish Thank You Card

Good Morning! I just got back to Pennsylvania after spending a few months in Arizona and I wanted to make a quick card with a stamp set that I haven’t seen recently. The Stampin’ Up! A Fish and a Wish bundle is another fun undersea bundle focusing on different cute fish with a coordinating punch. I used it with the By The Bay 6″ x 6″ specialty designer series paper for a thank you card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped the seaweed from the Stampin’ Up! A Fish and a Wish cling stamp set in Pear Pizzazz ink all over a panel of By the Bay 6″ x 6″ specialty DSP using full strength and stamped off ink. I embossed the panel with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder and adhered it to a Mint Macaron mat. I adhered the panel to the front of a Pool Party card base with dimensionals.

I stamped three small fish from the Stampin’ Up! A Fish and a Wish stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink on Pear Pizzazz card stock. I cut the fish out with the Fish Builder Punch. I stamped two large fish in Mango Melody ink on Pale Papaya card stock and punched them out. I laid out the fish and adhered the large fish with Stampin’ Seal to a Vellum card stock panel. I applied Stampin’ Seal to the back of the panel under the large fish and where the small fish would be placed and adhered it to the card front. I adhered the small fish with dimensionals over the Stampin’ Seal.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! A Fish and a Wish stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink on Pool Party and cut it out with the banner from the Stylish Shapes dies. I folded a length of Pool Party ribbon and adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Seal and adhered the label over the ribbon with dimensionals. I finished the card front with opal rounds.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the small fish from the Stampin’ Up! A Fish and a Wish stamp set in Coastal Cabana and the large fish in Mango Melody on a Basic White panel. I stamped and embossed a strip of By The Bay 6″ x 6″ specialty DSP like the front background and adhered it to the bottom of the panel before adhering it to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I love the design of the fish in the Stampin’ Up! A Fish and a Wish stamp set and I’m glad there’s a coordinating punch! The stamp set has wonderful sentiments and it’s perfect for fun, fishy cards for fish loving friends!

Stampin’ Up! February Paper Pumpkin Kit – Sunshine and Smiles!

Good Morning! I received my February 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Sunshine and Smiles a while back and I finally got a chance to put together some of the cards – they are sooo cute!! I made one of each card and pretty much followed the instructions for putting the cards together.

Here’s the February 2023 Paper Pumpkin kit unboxing video from the Paper Pumpkin YouTube channel showing the kit contents and directions for making each card.

Here’s a closeup of each card. I love the peek through windows featured in these cards – such a fun idea! I love how you can add card elements in both in front and behind the windows.

For the second card, I simply substituted Old Olive ink from my stash for the Mango Melody in the sentiment. The floral hillside is so Springy!

I love layering on the last one – I can so something similar with the Layering Diorama dies.

Here is everything you get in the kit. There are so many die cuts that you can mix and match.

The die cuts go well with all the items in the Rain or Shine Suite from the current Mini Catalog. And the special add-on purchase was a set of dies to coordinate with the flowers and frog in the little stamp set. I hope that Paper Pumpkin does a similar add-on in the future! I did not get a chance to make any alternative designs, but here are some cute ones that the Paper Pumpkin design team came up with:

This was such a fun kit – perfect for Spring. And while playing with it, I got so many ideas for other fun cards. Next month is Paper Pumpkin’s 10th anniversary and the kit will celebrate the growth! I think this will be another good one, so consider signing up – Deadline is March 10, 2023.

Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay Thank You Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! The Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay bundle is a beautiful nautical set with both undersea and shore images and dies. I used the crab and shells to make an undersea thank you card. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch challenge this week:

I adhered a panel of wood grained By The Sea 6″ x 6″ specialty designer series paper to the front of a Sahara Sand card base. I cut a panel of By The Sea 6″ x 6″ specialty designer series paper with the fourth largest Stitched Rectangles dies. I stamped the fishes from the Sea Turtle photopolymer stamp set in Versamark ink o the die cut DSP and sprinkled it with gold embossing powder. I shook off the excess and heated the powder with my heat tool until it was bright and shiny.

I stamped the sand and sand and shell stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay cling stamp set in Sahara Sand ink across a Sahara Sand strip. I cut the top using the sand die from the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay dies and cut the bottom with the fourth largest Stitched Rectangle die. I adhered the die cut sand to the bottom of the DSP die cut rectangle with liquid glue and adhered the layered panel to a Soft Suede mat.

I cut three sea grasses (two short and one long) from the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay dies from Mint Macaron and adhered them to the undersea panel with glue dots. I stamped the three small sea shells in Sahara Sand ink on Petal Pink and cut them out with the coordinating die. I adhered them to the panel with glue dots. I stamped the crab in Night of Navy ink on Basic White and cut it out with the coordinating die. I colored it with a light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend and adhered it to the panel with glue dots. I cut a pair of small shells from Distressed Gold paper and adhered them to the panel with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment (inking up only the thank you part of the stamp) from the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay stamp set in Versamark ink on Balmy Blue and sprinkled it with gold embossing powder. I shook off the excess powder and heated the sentiment with my heat tool until it was bright and shiny. I cut it out with the small skinny stitched rectangle die. I looped Linen Thread twice around the end and tied a knot and adhered the label to the panel with dimensionals. I adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals and finished it with flat pearls.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the crab from the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay stamp set in Night of Navy ink on a Basic White panel. I colored it with the light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend and stamped the bottom with the seashell and sand and sand stamps using Sahara Sand ink. I colored the shells with the dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend and adhered the die cut Mint Macaron sea grass and Distress Gold seashells to the bottom. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay bundle goes great with the By the Bay specialty DSP and other ocean themed stamp supplies. And the sentiments are wonderful!

Stampin’ Up! Lucky Clover St. Patrick’s Day Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Lucky Clover cling stamp set is a sweet stamp set with lots of fun lucky clover images and wonderful sentiments that is perfect for St Patrick’s Day. Today, I used it with the Sale-A-Bration Dandy Designs designer series paper for a friendly St. Patrick’s Day card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Dandy Designs designer series paper to a Soft Sea Foam mat and then to the front of a Granny Apple Green card base. I stamped the large clover from the Stampin’ Up! Lucky Clover stamp set in Granny Apple Green on a Soft Sea Foam panel and cut it out with the second largest circle from the Stylish Shapes dies. I cut a scalloped circle using the second largest die from the Layering Circles dies and adhered the clover to it with liquid glue.

I cut a strip of the chevron Dandy Designs DSP with the largest banner die from the Stylish Shapes dies and adhered it to the card with liquid glue. I stamped the small clovers from the Stampin’ Up! Lucky Clover stamp set in Granny Apple Green on a Soft Sea Foam strip and cut it out with the smallest banner die from the Stylish Shapes dies. I adhered it to the card over the larger banner with liquid glue and adhered the layered stamped clover circle on top with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Lucky Clover stamp set in Old Olive on Granny Apple Green and cut it out with the long, skinny Stylish Shapes banner die. I trimmed a length of Old Olive ribbon and adhered it to the back of the label with glue dots and adhered the label to the card with dimensionals. I finished the card with Parakeet Party dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Lucky Clover stamp set in Old Olive on a Basic White panel. I stamped the small single clover next to the sentiment in Granny Apple Green and stamped the smallest clovers multiple times in the corners of the panel using both full strength and stamped off ink. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Dandy Designs DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stamping’ Seal.

The Sale-A-Bration Dandy Designs DSP goes perfect with the Stampin’ Up! Lucky Clover stamp set, but it will only be available for a few more days because Sale-A-Bration ends on February 28!

Stampin’ Up! Sea Turtle for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! The Stampin’ Up! Sea Turtle photopolymer stamp set has wonderful seaside images and the stamps are reversible! They are made so that you have a detailed image on one side and a solid image on the other, so they can be used for two step stamping. See how I did this on the inside image below. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a theme challenge this week:

I stamped the detailed seaweed image from the Stampin’ Up! Sea Turtle stamp in Old Olive ink set several times in the lower corner of a panel of By The Bay designer series paper. I turned the stamp upside down sometimes, and also used stamped off ink to give it dimension. I stamped the detailed bubble image several times on the DSP using Pool Party ink and then embossed the panel with the Seashells 3D embossing folder. I adhered it to a Mint Macaron panel with liquid glue and popped it on the front of a Balmy Blue card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the detailed large turtle from the Stampin’ Up Sea Turtle stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink on a Mint Macaron panel and fussy cut the turtle with paper snips. I adhered the turtle to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Labels cling stamp set in Old Olive ink on a strip of Mint Macaron (note that the Happy Labels stamp set comes in photopolymer or cling). I punched the end with the ticket side of the Happy Labels Pick A Punch and adhered it to the card with glue dots. I finished the card with white Elegant Faceted gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the detailed side of the small turtle from the Stampin’ Up! Sea Turtle stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink in the corner of a Basic White panel. I cleaned the stamp and flipped it over and stamped the solid side in Mint Macaron ink over the detailed image. I stamped the seaweed on the side of the panel in Old Olive regular and stamped off ink. I stamped and embossed a strip of By The Bay DSP like the front background and adhered it to the bottom of the panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Sea Turtle stamp set is full of wonderful images. It’s fun to create with and is perfect for many occasions!
