Stampin’ Up! Lighting The Way for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! The fireflies are out now in my backyard, so I was inspired to bring out the Stampin’ Up! Lighting The Way photopolymer stamp set and dies to make a summer card. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a theme challenge for our Blog Hop this week:

I adhered a fern panel of Inked Botanicals 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the front of a Lost Lagoon card base with liquid glue. I embossed a Pool Party panel with the Fern 3D embossing folder and adhered it to a Lost Lagoon mat. I adhered the layered panel to the card front with liquid glue. I cut the lantern from the Stampin’ Up! Lighting The Way dies from Pebbled Path card stock. I traced the lantern on a Vellum panel and cut it out with my paper snips. I stamped the large light in Lemon Lolly on the trimmed vellum and adhered it to the back of the lantern with glue dots.

I cut the large and small fireflies from the Stampin’ Up! Lighting The Way dies from Pebbled Path card stock. I also cut the large wings from vellum and large body from Lemon Lolly and assembled the large firefly with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Lighting The Way stamp set in Lost Lagoon ink on Basic White and cut it out with a circle from the Stylish Shapes dies. I adhered the label to the card front with glue dots. I took a single strand of Pebbled Path jute and looped it through the lantern handle before adhering it with dimensionals. I adhered the small fireflies with glue dots and the large firefly with dimensionals. I finished the card front with faceted dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the small firefly from the Stampin’ Up! Lightning The Way stamp set in Pebbled Path ink on Basic White. I stamped the small light in stamped off Lemon Lolly and stamped the firefly trail in full strength Lemon Lolly. I trimmed the bottom of the panel with a strip of Inked Botanicals DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Lighting The Way stamp set and dies make a pretty card for summer nights. The sentiments are inspirational and full of positive energy and the firefly stamps and dies are wonderful!
