Stampin’ Up! Softly Sketched for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I used the sweet sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Softly Sketched stamp set with the pretty Meandering Meadows 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to make a miss you card for a friend who is moving or taking another job.  You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a pretty sketch challenge this week:

I embossed a panel of Meandering Meadows 6″ x 6″ designer series paper with the Quatrefoil Tile embossing folder and used a sponge dauber to gently apply Old Olive ink to the embossed DSP. This accents the raised edges and tones down the brassiness of the Granny Apple Green background.

I adhered the embossed panel to a pretty meadow scene panel of the Meandering Meadows DSP before adhering the layered panel to a Balmy Blue mat.I adhered the panel to the front of an Old Olive card base with dimensionals. I adhered a short length of ribbon to the card with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Softly Sketched stamp set using Old Olive ink on Daffodil Delight card stock. I cut the label out with the Stylish Shapes banner die using the two step die cutting technique and popped it on the card with dimensionals. I finished with three brass swallow embellishments.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Softly Sketched stamp set using Old Olive ink on a Basic White panel. I adhered a strip of DSP to the side before adhering the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

Don’t the scenes from the Meandering Meadows DSP make you excited for spring? They are so pretty and the small sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Softly Sketched stamp set are perfectly sized and don’t distract from the landscape. And the pretty brass embellishments are perfect final touch!
