Stampin’ Up! Friends of the Forest for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I finally pulled out the sweet Stampin’ Up! Friends of the Forest photopolymer stamp set for today’s card. This set has cute forest animals with forest background stamps that are great for coloring. And the prancing deer coordinates with the deer builder punch! You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch challenge this week and here is the pretty sketch we are using:

I stamped the tree from the Stampin’ Up! Friends of the Forest stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White. I stamped the mushrooms, flowers and grass on both sides of the tree in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the little scene with Stampin’ Blends. I used Soft Suede, light and dark Old Olive, dark Parakeet Party and dark Granny Apple green on the tree and dark Daffodil Delight, light Sweet Sorbet, light Crumb Cake, and dark Granny Apple green on the ground.

I cut the stamped image out with the 4th smallest Stitched Rectangle die. I cut a panel of Artfully Composed designer series paper and adhered it to the back of the stamped image and adhered them both to the front of a Pear Pizzazz card base. I stamped the deer from the Stampin’ Up! Friends of the Forest stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White and colored it with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I cut it out with the Deer Builder punch and adhered it to the card front with glue dots.

I stamped the little fox from the Stampin’ Up! Friends of the Forest stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White and colored it with Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends. I fussy cut the little guy with my Paper Snips with a white border and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I did not put a label on the front, as the little fox takes it’s place!

For the inside, I stamped the the stump from the Stampin’ Up! Friends of the Forest stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on a Basic White panel and stamped the flowers and mushrooms on either side. I colored the stump with the light Soft Suede Stampin’ Blend and the flowers and mushrooms the same as the card front. I stamped the little bird on the stump and colored it with the light Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blend. I stamped the sentiment over the scene in Memento Tuxedo Black and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

These little critters are so cute and fun to play with. The Stampin’ Up! Friends of the Forest stamp set is great for any occasion.
