Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Playing in the Rain bundle is a sweet Spring weather themed cling stamp set with dies that have the cutest critters enjoying spring rain and flowers. The fabulous dies also cut out some of the images in the beautiful Rain or Shine specialty designer series paper. I used both the bundle and paper for the fun fold card I made in my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

You can watch my FB Live video on my Facebook page HERE. I also posted the video to my YouTube Channel and you can view it HERE.
I adhered panels of Rain or Shine specialty DSP to each section of my scored and burnished Balmy Blue card base with liquid glue. See the scoring measurements below in the Card Stock Cuts. I cut a little DSP piggy with an umbrella with the 4th largest Layering Circles dies and adhered it to an Old Olive scalloped circle cut with the 4th largest scalloped circle die. I adhered him to the back panel in the field of flowers.

I cut the kite from the Stampin’ Up! Playing in the Rain dies from Basic White. I cut the kite sections from a Flirty Flamingo section of the Rain or Shine specialty DSP and adhered it to the kite. I cut the kite bow ties from Old Olive and adhered them to the kite string with liquid glue and adhered the kite to the back panel so that just a little bit is peeking out when the card is closed.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Playing in the Rain stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel. I trimmed the bottom with the check pattern of Rain or Shine DSP and adhered the panel to the second section of the card base. Now that the main part of the card was done, I scored the belly band and wrapped it around the card to check it. It fit snug, so I applied Stampin’ Seal to the ends to secure it and wrapped it loosely around the card again before pressing the ends together. I adhered another strip of checked Rain or Shine DSP to the belly band to cover the seam.

For the belly band decoration, I cut the cute little turtle from the Rain or Shine specialty DSP with the turtle die from the Stampin’ Up! Playing in the Rain dies. I cut another turtle from Basic White and adhered them together with liquid glue. I cut a Crushed Curry circle using the 3rd largest Layering circle die and an Old Olive scalloped circle with the 3rd largest scalloped circle. I adhered the circles together and cut a puddle from Balmy blue. I adhered the puddle to the circles and adhered the turtle with dimensionals. I used rolled up glue dots to adhere three flower embellishments to the lie cut and adhered the layered circles to the belly band with liquid glue.

This was my first belly band card and they can be tricky because you want the band to be loose enough to slide on and off easily, but not too loose to fall off unintentionally. Also, you want to make sure it fits into your envelope. Mine just barely fits, so I think I need to fiddle a little with the measurements to get a little extra room, especially with a fancy belly band with lots of dimension. But it was a fun card to make, especially with the cute critters from the Stampin’ Up! Playing in the Rain bundle and Rain or Shine specialty papers!

I saw a video by my Inkin’ Krew teammate Tara Carpenter where she made cards with this Fun Fold and I fell in love with it, so I had to make one. You can see her pretty card here. And I wanted to use the Stampin’ Up! Playing in the Rain bundle because it coordinates with the upcoming February Paper Pumpkin set. I can’t wait to get it!
