Stampin’ Up! Whimsical Trees for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Today’s unique Christmas Card is made with the Stampin’ Up! Whimsical Trees stamp bundle and the beautiful Whimsy and Wonder specialty designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week and here is the pretty sketch we are using:

I embossed a panel of Mint Macaron with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Mint Macaron card base. I adhered a panel of Whimsy and Wonder specialty designer series paper to a Mint Macaron mat so that the top edges lined up. I wrapped a length of silver cord around the panel and made a loopy bow, securing it with a glue dot.

I stamped a panel of Mint Macaron with the large tree from the Stampin’ Up! Whimsical Trees cling stamp set in Versamark ink. I sprinkled the tree with white embossing powder and shook off the excess. I heat the powder with my heat tool until it was shiny and then cut the tree out with the coordinating die from the Christmas Trees dies. I decorated the tree with silver diamond epoxy shapes and adhered it to the card front with dimensonals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Whimsical Trees stamp set in Versamark ink on Mint Macaron. This time I sprinkled it with silver embossing powder, shook off the excess and heat set it with my heat tool until it was shiny. I cut it out with my favorite Messages die and adhered it to the card with glue dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Whimsical Trees stamp set in Smoky Slate ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the large tree in stamped off Mint Macaron next to the sentiment. I applied some adhesive sheets to the back of silver foil and used the Christmas Tree die to cut out a silver Christmas tree. I peeled off the adhesive backing and adhered the tree to the bottom of the panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Whimsical Trees bundle has beautiful artistic Christmas Trees that are perfect for modern looking Christmas Cards. The Whimsy and Wonder specialty designer series paper is also so beautiful with iridescent silver accents and light color palette.

  1. Lovely! Mint Macaron is probably my favorite green, but of course, I love them all (except that horrid LLT. Glad it is gone!). I love the way you decorated the tree.
