Good Friday Morning! I received my March Paper Pumpkin kit last week and put together some of the beautiful cards. I made the projects pretty much as designed, but did make a few changes:

Here’s the March 2024 Paper Pumpkin kit unboxing video from the Paper Pumpkin YouTube channel. It shows the kit contents and steps for making the projects according to directions – they are stunning and really easy!

I made the first card according to the instructions. The flowers are beautiful and note the rounded envelope flap with the pretty printed lining!

For the second card I substituted gold adhesive sequins from my stash for the ones included in the kit because I wanted to pick up on the gold trimmed label. I also just inked up the thanks part of the sentiment so that it would fit on the label.

On the last card, I just positioned the label a little differently so you could see the tree. The wooden leaves and tree cut outs are wonderful and so much fun with the bold colors in the landscapes!

Here’s everything included in the kit. Note that the card bases are printed on the front an back with the beautiful landscapes!

And here is the Garden Green ink spot and the stamp sets included in the kit. The one on the right is the free special bonus stamp set that is included this month. And note the printed stamp set inserts that are now included with the kit.

And here is a quick card I made with the free bonus stamp set. I combined it with the Garden Meadow bundle and Meandering Meadow DSP. I love how the kit uses the same font in the stamp set. I used a Fresh Freesia card base and stamped the flowers in Basic Gray, Fresh Freesia and Lemon Lime Twist. I used a Berry Burst Stampin’ Blend to color the flower centers and finished with pretty Melon Mambo glossy dots.

Such a pretty kit, I’m sure there will be a ton of beautiful alternative designs.

Good Friday Morning! I just received my February Paper Pumpkin kit last weekend and put together some of the cards and treat boxes. The weather has been so cold and snowy this week, so playing with Springtime designs was a nice treat. I made the projects pretty much as designed:

The first card is a pretty slimline design with pretty flowers and cute baby chics. I did change it up by stamping the sentiment in Berry Burst rather than using the included Early Espresso Stampin’ Spot.

The second card has a sweet pair of bunnies and daffodils. I adhered my frame with pieces of dimensionals rather than glue dots, but otherwise made it per instructions. Aren’t those bunnies sweet?

The last project is a cute milk carton style treat box. This is a pretty large box and will hold plenty of jelly beans or chocolate eggs and the bunny and chick are just right for Easter!

Such a pretty kit with cheerful colors! And I’m looking forward to next month’s kit.

Stampin’ Up! Prepaid Paper Pumpkin Subscription Options:

Good Morning! On Tuesday, a new set of Online Exclusives will be available for ordering, and I have a little sneak peek of one of the new bundles – the Stampin’ Up! Garden Meadow bundle! This is a sweet gardening themed photopolymer stamp and die set and I used it with the pretty new Meandering Meadows 6″ x 6″ designer series paper that will also be available. You can find the currently available products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

I adhered a panel of Meandering Meadow 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the front of an Orchid Oasis card base with liquid glue. This paper has pretty Springtime landscapes with meadows full of flowers – I love them! I used the arch die to cut the back of another panel and used the outside frame. I stamped hello sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Garden Meadow stamp set in Orchid Oasis ink on a strip of Vellum and after a few minutes of drying, I adhered it to the back of the arch with glue dots. I loaded the arch with dimensionals and popped it onto the card front.

I stamped the wheelbarrow from the Stampin’ Up! Garden Meadow stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White and colored it with Stampin’ Blends. I used Wild Wheat, Smoky Slate, Pebbled Path and Orchid Oasis on the wheelbarrow and Calypso Coral, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight on the flowers. I cut it out with the coordinating die and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals.

I adhered a Petal Pink striped bow to the wheelbarrow and some pretty brass birds to the card front to finish.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Garden Meadow stamp set in Orchid Oasis on a Basic White panel. I stamped the flowers next to it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. I trimmed the side with a strip of DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

These new products are so beautiful and the Springtime scenes will be fun to play with when you need a break from Christmas crafting. Or they will be perfect for making a set of cards to give as Christmas presents! You can find all the details of the Stampin’ Up! Garden Meadow bundle and the Meandering Meadow 6″ x 6″ designer series paper below. These products will be available on Tuesday. Unfortunately the pretty bird embellishments are currently out of stock, but are expected to be back during the week of Nov 27.

Good Friday Morning! Things got a little mixed up with my Paper Pumpkin kit last month with all my travel and my box was totally crushed when I finally received it. So sad because it was a pretty box. But, the card bases were crumpled too. I don’t understand how this happened because the kits are shipped with a super thick chipboard backing. So I couldn’t make the cards as designed. Luckily the cut outs and card fronts were ok, so I was challenged to come up with alternative designs. And it worked out pretty well – I came up with three fun fold designs! I’ll list my card stock cuts at the end of my post.

So for my first card, I came up with a book binder fun fold. I cut the landscape card front to 4″ x 4″ and adhered it to a Night of Navy card base. I trimmed the long house cut out so that the houses could be centered and popped it on top with dimensionals. I had to make another snow bank to go across the bottom and sponged it wit Balmy Blue ink to blend in. I used a large tree cut out to hide the sharp edge of the blue house and stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy. I used some One Horse Open Sleigh DSP, Real Red ribbon and gold snowflakes to finish.

For the inside, I stamped the pretty sentiment in Night of Navy and decorated the corner with a house and tree cut out.

For my second card, I made an accordion fun fold and used the card base and pieces for the portrait style card. I used a Sweet Sorbet card base scored at 3″, 6″, 7-1/2″, 9″ and 10″ and cut the original card base to 4″ x 5-1/4″. I cut the other two cut outs to 4″ wide and adhered them to the front of each pleat. I stamped the sentiment in Sweet Sorbet and added a Real Red Bow and white snowflake to the label.

For the inside of this card, I stamped the sentiment in Sweet Sorbet and the snowflakes in Balmy Blue.

For my last card I made a center flap panel card and cut the portrait card base to 3″ x 4″. I adhered a panel of Real Red One Horse Open Sleigh DSP to a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ Night of Navy card base and adhered a mini card with the houses on top. I stamped the sentiment in Sweet Sorbet and managed to fit in a glitter backing. I popped a small tree cut out next to the sentiment and finished with gold snowflakes.

And for the inside, I stamped Balmy Blue Snowflakes across the top with a Sweet Sorbet sentiment (I wish I stamped the sentiment a little lower though).

This was such a great kit – I love the folk art houses and traditional colors! And I forgot about the glitter glue! I used it on all the roof tops and windows and let it dry for about 1 hour. I haven’t used glitter glue in a long time and had forgotten how nice it is to make your snow sparkle!

And as for my kit, I called Stampin’ Up! and luckily they’re able to send me a replacement. This company stands strong behind their guarantee!

Good Morning! Have you seen the Stampin’ Up! September Paper Pumpkin kit? The note cards are so beautiful and perfect for fall. And the treat packages are too! I put together all the note cards and one of the bags – and they came together rather quickly! Here they are:

Here’s a close up of the treat bag and one of the note cards. The note cards are 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″. That’s a little larger than the usual ones, but too small to mail. The treat packages are 3-1/2″ x 5″ x 2″.

The greenery is so pretty and soft! The gold foil die cuts have a beautiful matte finish that is so beautiful. And there’s plenty of room after removing them to die cut small stars or leaves for other projects afterwards.

The stamping on the background turned out prettier than I was expecting, I have to remember this technique! The font in the Thank You is really pretty, so I used it on all the note cards. And I love the print on the inside of the envelope!

Good Morning! I received my May 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Exploring In Color last week and I made one of each of the cards according to the directions. This is such a pretty kit with gorgeous mountain landscapes that are on both sides of the card base! The beautiful scenes are carried over to the printed envelopes and they really do reflect the theme of Explore!

Here’s a closeup of each card. Isn’t that a wonderful sentiment? I love how the path is also printed on the envelope!

Each of these beautiful mountain scenes show a hint of a fantastic adventure! This one makes me want to hop into the canoe and explore with friends!

No mountains in the last one, but the buffalo give a wonderful sense of peace and freedom!

I love that the card bases have pictures on the front and back because it allows you to cut them in half and mount them on a card stock card base and have double the number of cards! The sentiments are wonderfully inspirational and the kit makes the perfect base for masculine cards.
