Good Morning! Welcome to the September Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is “Halloween” and one of the coolest Halloween ideas from last year is the Stampin’ Up! Haunted Halloween kit. It sold out quickly last year, but it’s back in stock (YAY!!) and I finally got the chance to put it together – It’s so cute!
Here’s my results and I pretty much followed the instructions that come with the kit and the instructional video on YouTube. I did supply my own hot glue gun which I used to assemble the house and roof.
Here’s the instructional video put together by Stampin’ Up!. I found it VERY beneficial to watch the video before and during assembly, especially since the roof is a bit tricky. It’s been a while since I’ve used a hot glue gun, so I was especially cautious at first. There was a little difference between the instructions and the video, so having both on hand was helpful.
Here’s one of the sides. The house is made of corrugated paper and the bats, trees and fence are made of chipboard. The accent pieces are card stock and vellum. Tear & Tape, glue dots and black dimensionals are included to adhere the accents.
Here’s the other side. When adhering the windows, make sure the shiny side of the vellum shows on the outside, and the center window over the door is shorter than the first floor windows. So it’s perfect for the chandelier and shutters. And the silver skull door knocker is totally awesome!
The house has four sides and is open on the bottom. The side walls have no windows, but there are three more in the back. So, I used multicolor LED tea lights to illuminate the windows (one behind each window).
I think it would also be perfect to add additional spooky touches from die cuts or embellishments you have in your stash. Like we still need a witch, broom, skeleton, graveyard and monsters. So have fun and go all out. It’s a fun project with great results!

Good Morning and Happy March! Hopefully Spring arrives soon. I used the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Heirloom Arrangements kit for today’s cards and it was so much fun and creative relaxation to arrange the die cuts and make the cards!
The kit comes with detailed instructions for two cards and shows examples that are pretty easy to re-create for the rest. There are several die cuts left over, and I just added them to the existing designs so they were all used. I did add baker’s twine and sequins from my stash to each of the cards and used Pretty Peacock ink to stamp the butterfly with the Pecan Pie grid. Here’s a closer look at each of my cards.
Aren’t the vintage die cuts from the Stampin’ Up! Heirloom Arrangements kit so pretty? There are other sentiments in the stamp set, but I decided to only use the ‘for you‘ sentiment on the cards. I love how you can make each card unique and that there are 8 cards. This kit was just added to the Stampin’ Up! Kits Collection last month and is only available in the Online Store. New kits are added each month in a variety of styles to meet different crafting tastes and needs. Be sure to check them out.

Good Morning! Last week I got my November Paper Pumpkin kit – Filled With Joy and I really love those little stockings! Here are four of the stockings that I made.
Here’s the November 2024 Paper Pumpkin kit unboxing video from the Paper Pumpkin YouTube channel. It shows the kit contents and steps for making the cute stockings. To be honest, I didn’t really follow the instructions. But the instructions had had so many cute designs for stamping the ornaments and tags, that I just looked at the pictured and stamped the designs that I liked best.
The stamp set that is included has so many cute sentiments. The retro ornament theme plays well with both non-traditional colors and the traditional Christmas red and green. The muslin and Poppy Parade ticking design also goes well with rustic designs. So I used the clothes pins and embellishments from the Rustic Christmas Countdown kit to decorate some of the stockings for a different look.
These cute stockings are big enough to hold a gift card and there are enough of them that you could incorporate them into your Christmas decorations as tree ornaments or on a swag. They also coordinate with all the current Stampin’ Up! Holiday themes! I think the sweet birds from the Nests of Winter, the sweet reindeer from the Reindeer Days or the snowman and penguins from the Snowy Scenes suites would be cute substitutes if your Christmas themes don’t coordinate with retro ornaments.
The kit comes with four extra ornaments you can use for other projects. I popped one on a Basic White note card with the Pool Party tag from the kit. I covered the tag hole with a Shaded Spruce ribbon and used the merry die from the current Paper Pumpkin add-on dies to cut a Poppy Parade sentiment.

Good Morning! It’s a little late, but I finally opened my Nests of Winter Paper Pumpkin kit and put together some of my cards. The kit makes 10 cards, two of each of these designs and they are tri-fold cards with pretty Shaded Spruce foil and beautiful printed envelopes. They coordinate with the Nests of Winter suite with the beautiful birds and greenery. Here are the cards that I made according to the directions:

The first card has the two chickadees in the corner of the open arch with the beautiful Shaded Spruce foil border. I love how the sentiment is on the middle fold and pops out through the arch opening.
And here is a close up of the second card with the pretty cardinal.
I used the extra panel from the arch opening and added some die cut birds from the Nests of Winter designer series paper. I also used the die from the add-on set, Merry Tags and More dies, to cut a panel of Shy Shamrock glimmer paper to make a sentiment. The Shy Shamrock glimmer paper goes so well with the Shaded Spruce foil! And I popped it on a Coastal Cabana card base with dimensionals. I also used the tag die from the add-on set to make tags from the opening and decorate them with die cut and fussy cut birds from the Nests of Winter DSP.
Here is the Shaded Spruce ink spot and the stamp set included in the kit.
These were a couple of quick and simple projects that you can make with a the extras from the kit plus a few additions from the Nests of Winter Suite. These will be the perfect Christmas cards and tags for my bird loving friends!

Good Monday Morning! You know that the Stampin’ Up! Kits Collection is on sale this month, and I’ve chosen the Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Rose card kit for today. It is a beautiful kit that has been around for a while with the prettiest flower stamp and simple sentiments for many occasions. I really love the stamp set and the card designs, so I picked it up when it first came out. And as a bonus, it includes an acetate box that you can use to hold the cards.

I assembled the beautiful cards as designed, just changing up the sentiments and adjusting the length of the baker’s twine. The instructions say to use 12″ lengths, but I used 18″ lengths for this card. I used 14″ for the second and 20″ for the box. I still had enough baker’s twine left to make 12″ bows for the third card (which didn’t have any twine) and a little left over.
And here’s the second card. I love the corrugated accents on the cards. The cards are note card sized (3-1/2″ x 5″) and flat, so they’re perfect for mailing. Even the dots included are fairly flat – and so shiny!
And here’s the last card. The color palette includes the retired So Saffron and Mint Macaroon. But the stamping is done with the included Gray Granite Stampin’ Spot, so no need to worry about trying to get retired colors on the secondary market. And I think the flower will look great stamped using the new In Colors Pretty In Pink and Peach Pie.

Good Morning! I received my Autumn Abundance Pumpkin kit last week and this is another beautiful kit! I put a set of cards together, but I used the coordinating add-on die and other embellishments from my stash to change them up! I used 1-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ scraps of colored card stock to cut out each leaf that I added to the cards.

Here is my first card. I decided to make it portrait instead of landscape, so I stamped additional sprigs and only used two of the pretty oak leaves. I used the add on die to cut a Cajun Craze leaf and made a loopy bow from Copper Clay Natural Tones Linen Thread. I finished the card with Cajun Craze Faux Glass Dots. My die cut leaf is the same as the pretty Copper foil and Crushed Curry cut out leaves that were included in the kit.
And here is a close up of my second card. I used two Wild Wheat die cut leaves in place of the wood and added a small Copper Clay Linen Thread bow to the label. I finished with Wild Wheat 2024-2025 In Color Opaque Sparkle Dots.
And here is my last card. I stamped lots of Cajun Craze sprigs and cut Night of Navy, Cajun Craze and Wild Wheat leaves to use around the sentiment. I saved the pretty die cut leaves that came in the kit. I made a loopy Night of Navy Linen Thread bow to adhere to the back of the sentiment and finished with Night of Navy Opal Rounds.
Here is the Cajun Craze ink spot and the stamp set included in the kit. I also included the pretty leaf die from the add-on kit.

I didn’t make too many changes to the cards, and I’m glad that I got a chance to use the pretty die from the add-on kit. I love all the different designs in this kit and how beautifully it coordinates with other Stampin’ Up! products. This kit really does capture Autumn Abundance!

Good Morning! I received my Painted Petals Pumpkin kit last week and boy, this is a beautiful kit! I put together all the cards per the instructions because they’re just gorgeous!

Here is the first card. I love the frames with the watercolor florals! I did cut strips of dimensionals to add extra support behind the frames.
And here is a close up of the second card. The subtle coloring in the background with the spatters really make the flowers pop!
And here is the last card. I love the contoured sentiment labels with the contrasting DSP in the background and I was pleased at how easy these were to line up and stamp in the custom die cuts.
Here is the Gray Granite ink spot and the stamp set included in the kit. The pretty flower can be cut out with the flower die from the Everyday Celebration dies.

The leafy die cut on the first card is stunning! And there were extra peaches, so I added them to my card.
The second card has vellum leaf sprigs that go with the gorgeous leaf spray. And I love the contrast with the shiny pearls & sentiments and linen thread.
The last card has subtle vellum flowers and I love the scallop theme on this die cut, the envelope flaps and the first card frame.

Good Morning! We’ve been in Tucson for the past couple of weeks and last weekend, we had the pleasure of an overnight visit from our grandkids! Since we’re always looking for something to keep them busy, I picked up the Stampin’ Up! Frog & Friends Kit and my 6 year old granddaughter Amelia put it together!
I prepped everything by popping out the arms, legs and fins and cutting the strings. All the pieces are pre-loaded with tape strips, so all you have to do is pull off the coverings and stick the pieces on. The frog is the first one we assembled.
I watched the video (link below) ahead of time so I could understand how they went together. The goldfish was the second piece she put together. I put the instruction pictures in front of her with the pieces and she followed them pretty well. She pulled off the tape tabs and stuck the pieces together – the place where each arm/fin/eye goes is pretty clearly labeled.
The last one she did was the shark. I did line up the side tape since it’s not supposed to be folded the whole way and this was the most difficult part to line up. But I told Amelia to press hard after it was lined up and across the bottom and all the taped sections are still holding.
