Stampin’ Up! Leaves of Holly for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Here is a rustic Christmas card made with the wonderful Stampin’ Up! Leaves of Holly bundle along with the pretty Painted Christmas designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a color challenge this week and here is the color palette we are using:

I stamped the sentiment from the Mistletoe Magic cling stamp set in Versamark ink on a strip of Boughs of Holly designer series paper. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and shook off the excess. I heated the powder with my heat tool until it was bright and shiny. I adhered the panel to the bottom of a Painted Christmas designer series paper and then adhered the layered panel to a Cherry Cobbler mat. I adhered the layered DSP to the front of a Crumb Cake card base with dimensionals.

I stamped two of the small detailed holly leaves and one of the large detailed holly leaf from the Stampin’ Up! Leaves of Holly photopolymer stamp set using Mossy Meadow ink on Mossy Meadow card stock and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I cut two each of the pine sprigs from the Holly Berry dies from Garden Green. I cut the detailed berries from Real Red and the background berries from Poppy Parade and adhered them together with dots of liquid glue.

I arranged my die cuts on the card front to determine where to place them and started by adhering the pine sprigs with dots of liquid glue. I adhered the small holly leaves with liquid glue and the large leaf and berries with dimensionals. I made a bow with gold twine and adhered it under the berries with a glue dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Mistletoe Magic stamp set in Cherry Cobbler on a Basic White panel. I inked up the small holly leaf stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Leaves Of Holly stamp set in Mossy Meadow and stamped it off twice before stamping it on the panel. I adhered a strip of Painted Christmas DSP to the bottom of the panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Leaves of Holly bundle is so versatile that it can create very elegant Christmas cards with foil and rustic ones against Crumb Cake. So many ways to express Holiday creativity.
