Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour Inkin’ Krew Cards

Hello! We had an Inkin’ Krew quarterly team meeting Sunday afternoon and I was finally able to travel to Amy’s house to attend in person. It was so wonderful to finally meet in person again and stamp together. Today I’m sharing the beautiful cards I made during the meeting. The cards were designed by our team mates Linda Richenberg, Karen Ksenzakovic and Tara Carpenter. They are so pretty and the ladies all used different techniques so while the they all use the same stamp set and sentiment, they are so different! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Some of the Inkin’ Krew team joined us in person and the rest (after all the team is spread all across the country!) joined virtually via Zoom. The instructions were provided ahead of time, so we could prepare and after we finished the business discussion, Linda, Karen and Tara took turns showing us how to make their cards.

This is the card that Linda designed. You can find more of her work on her Facebook Business page here. We adhered the Hand Penned DSP to a Highland Heather card base and cut Basic White and Highland Heather panels with the Scalloped Contours dies. We used blending brushes to apply Mint Macaron, Blushing Bride and Highland Heather ink to the Basic White die cut and then stamped the flower with Versamark ink. We sprinkled it with Black embossing powder and heat set. We stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour photopolymer stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, cut it out with the Stitched Rectangles dies and adhered it to a Highland Heather mat. We adhered the label to the card front and then adhered the two scalloped die cuts together before popping it onto the card front with dimensionals. We finished it off with Opal Round gems.

This is Karen’s card and you can find her blog here. We embossed a panel of the Fresh Freesia shimmer vellum with the Pretty Flowers embossing folder and adhered it to a Soft Succulent mat and then to a Fresh Freesia card base. We cut a Scalloped Contours rectangle from Basic White, applied a little Soft Succulent ink to the center with a blending brush and stamped the sentiment on the bottom in Memento Tuxedo Black. We stamped the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black and Fresh Freesia and cut it out with the coordinating die. Then we popped it on the scalloped rectangle with dimensionals. We wrapped the Soft Succulent ribbon adhering it with Stampin’ Seal and popped the scalloped rectangle on top with dimensionals, finishing the card front with Soft Succulent jewels.

Here’s Tara’s card and you can find her blog here. We cut the largest Scalloped Contours die from Beauty of the Earth DSP and the 3rd largest from So Saffron. We stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy and adhered them together. We adhered them to a Night of Navy mat and then adhered it to a Soft Saffron card base. We stamped the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set in Basic Gray on Basic White and cut them out with the coordinating die. We used the new soft pastels to color the flowers – I used the Daffodil Delight and Poppy Parade for my flowers. I did some rough coloring with the stick and then blended it with my fingers. We adhered two of the flowers with liquid glue and popped the last one with dimensionals. This card is finished with three silver epoxy dots.

I didn’t have time to finish the insides of the cards, so I’ll do that later. The wonderful Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour bundle is so pretty and so versatile! We got to try out a lot of new card making techniques and play with beautiful new products. I love how each card is so different and so pretty!! Thank you so much Linda, Karen and Tara!!

Here’s a picture of the group of us that met at Amy’s house – Amy Koenders, me, Karen Ksenzakovic and Vicki Ridgway. We’re all smiling because we had so much fun to finally get together for the meeting and make these gorgeous cards! It was such a wonderful afternoon! Let me know if you think you might be interested in joining us for our next quarterly meeting and I’ll give you all the details!

  2. Beautiful cards and a great post! This was one of the best meeting ever, I thought…probably due to being able to meet in person and on Zoom. The cards we made were such fun. We have a great team!!
