Stampin’ Up! Wildly Happy Baby Card

Happy President’s Day! If you have off from work today, I hope you’re able to relax and have some fun. I have an unconventional baby card to share today. This is for a country girl, expecting her first baby, who enjoys the outdoors and camping, so I wanted to use the foxes from the Stampin’ Up! Wildly Happy stamp set and put them in a rustic woodland setting. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut the treetop from the Sweet Silhouettes dies from a Mossy Meadow panel and adhered it to the front of a Sahara Sand card base. I ripped the edge of a panel of Forever Greenery designer series paper and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake and adhered the panel to a panel of In Good Taste designer series paper so that it was offset. I adhered them both to the card front.

I stamped the little foxes from the Stampin’ Up! Wildly Happy stamp set on a Very Vanilla panel in Early Espresso ink and colored them with Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Petal Pink and Bronze Stampin Blends. I cut it out with the largest stitched oval die from the Stitched Shapes dies and sponged the edge with Crumb Cake ink. I applied some Stampin’ Seal to the Forever Greenery panel and looped some linen thread around it and popped the fox panel on with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Wildly Happy stamp set on a small panel of Very Vanilla and trimmed the top part of the sentiment. I sponged it lightly with Crumb Cake ink and adhered it to the card with a wooden leaf sprig and lace bow. I finished the card with three champagne rhinestones.

For the inside of the card, carefully inked the bottom of the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Wildly Happy stamp set in Early Espresso ink and stamped it on a Very Vanilla panel. I tore the top edge of the Forever Greenery DSP strip and sponged it with Crumb Cake and adhered it to the bottom of the panel. I adhered a strip of In Good Taste on top and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

A rustic woodland motif is not your normal baby card, but it’s a natural for these sweet foxes and it’s fun to change things up! I hope you like it.

Stampin’ Up! Wildly Happy for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I love to make baby cards and this is the first ones I’ve made in a long time. I’m using the Stampin’ Up! Wildly Happy cling stamp set for my card. Actually two cards, a blue one for a baby boy and a pink one for a baby girl.

We have a color challenge this week, and here is the color palette we are using:

I have chosen two of the 2019 – 2021 In Colors for my third color – the blue is Seaside Spray and the pink is Rococo Rose. I started the card by embossing a panel of Smoky Slate cardstock with the Brick and Mortar 3-D embossing folder and matting it with Seaside Spray / Rococo Rose. I adhered it to a Thick Whisper White card base with multipurpose liquid glue.

I took a strip of Woven Threads designer series paper and cut the bottom using the Banner Triple Punch. I used a Rococo Rose based paper for the baby girl card and a Seaside Spray based paper for the baby boy card. I adhered it to the brick embossed panel with snail.

I stamped the Mama and Baby elephant from the Stampin’ Up! Wildly Happy on a panel of Whisper White with Memento Tuxedo Black ink along with the sentiment. I colored the elephants with the Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends with just a touch of the Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend under the ears.

I cut the elephants out with the largest circle of the Stitched Shaped dies. I used the largest Scalloped Circle from the Layering Circles dies to cut a mat from Seaside Spray / Rococo Rose card stock and adhered it to the back of the elephants. I adhered the elephants to the card front with dimensionals and finished it off with a coordinating small faceted dot from the 2019 – 2021 In Color Faceted Dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sweet sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Wildly Happy Stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a panel of Whisper White. I added a strip of the Woven Threads DSP to the bottom of the panel and adhered it to a Seaside Spray / Rococo Rose mat. I adhered it to the inside of the card with multipurpose liquid glue.

The images in the Stampin’ Up! Wildly Happy cling stamp set are so sweet with the mama and baby animals. The sentiments are just as sweet making this a wonderful set to celebrate a new baby!
