Stampin’ Up! Playful Alphabet Hello Card

Good Morning! Today I have a fun Hello card made with the Stampin’ Up! Playful Alphabet Dies and the Playing with Patterns designer series paper. This was my first attempt as using these letter dies, so I wanted to keep it simple. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I also used the new adhesive sheets for the words. I cut a strip of the adhesive sheets, and peeled off the backing and laid it on a strip of Night of Navy card stock that I used to cut the words. I cut the adhesive strip about 1/8″ all around shorter than the card stock so I wouldn’t need to worry about sticky glue on the front of the card stock. I placed the letter dies from the Stampin’ Up! Playful Alphabet Dies for HELLO on the other side of the card stock and ran it through my die cutting machine. It cut pretty cleanly and there was no sticky residue from the sheetss. I also die cut the Coastal Cabana label with a label from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. I carefully peeled the adhesive backing off each letter and placed it on the Coastal Cabana label. I adhered the label to a Night of Navy mat.

I cut the striped paper from the Playing with Patterns designer series paper with another Stitched Rectangle Die and adhered it to a Night of Navy mat. I adhered it to the front of a Coastal Cabana card base with dimensionals. I adhered the label to the card front with more dimensionals.

I used the new Confetti Flowers Border Punch to punch some flowers from Purple Posy card stock. I adhered five to the card front with liquid glue and colored some pearls with Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend for the flower centers.

I adhered three of the Purple Posy flowers to the top corner of a Whisper White panel and another strip of the Playing with Patterns DSP to the bottom. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I was pretty impressed at how well the word fit in the Stitched Rectangle Die – I guess I really lucked out. I love the font of the letters in the Stampin’ Up! Playful Alphabet Dies! They are bold, clean, modern and easy to read. And there are numbers and double letters (I was able to cut both ‘L’s at the same time) and special symbols!

This was also the first time I used the adhesive sheets, and I was also impressed with how well they work. They leave a very fine adhesive film that sticks really well. I’ll definitely be using them more often.

Stampin’ Up! Blossoms in Bloom Thank You Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Today I’m sharing a Thank You card made with the Stampin’ Up! Blossoms in Bloom stamp set that I made during my Facebook Live video tutorial Saturday afternoon. I made a colorful modern style card with the fabulous floral stamp set and I used the fun Playing with Patterns designer series paper. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I also posted the video to my YouTube Channel and you can view it here if you prefer.

My card sketch was inspired by this week’s sketch at Fab Friday, FabFri193

I started by stamping the large flower arrangement from the Stampin’ Up! Blossoms in Bloom stamp set on a panel of Whisper White card stock using Calypso Coral ink. I stamped the flower centers in Night of Navy ink, the leaves in Calypso Coral and the small flowers in Crushed Curry. I cut it out with one of the Stitched Rectangles Dies. I stamped the Thank You sentiment in Night of Navy ink on a strip of Calypso Coral card stock and cut it out with a Tasteful Label die. I cut a strip of Crushed Curry card stock with the pretty scalloped border die from the Peony Dies.

I adhered a colorful striped panel of Playing With Patterns designer series paper to a Night of Navy Mat and adhered it to the front of a Calypso Coral card base. I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the stamped floral panel to a Night of Navy mat. I adhered the pretty Crushed Curry scalloped die cut border behind the bottom of the panel and adhered it to the front of the card.

I adhered the label to the floral panel with glue dots. I finished off the card with Purple Posy Resin Dots and a Calypso coral bow.

For the inside, I stamped a portion of the large flower arrangement in stamped off Calypso Coral ink on a Whisper White panel. Then I stamped some leaves in Crushed Curry, flower centers in Night of Navy and an additional Crushed Curry small flower. I adhered a strip of Playing with Patterns DSP to the bottom of the panel and adhered it to the inside of the card. I think I stamped it a little low and then got nervous because I was stamping live and didn’t get a clean stamp of the flower center. In hind sight, I should have checked out how it looked with the border strip and seeing that it was too low, I wish I had flipped and stamped the opposite corner with more of the flowers showing. Now I know better for next time…

The Stampin’ Up! Blossoms in Bloom stamp set has really pretty flowers and with the Distinktive™ style, you get many shades of ink when you stamp, so that it resembles a watercolor painting. Today’s card shows it’s versatility, because I just used a tiny portion of the large stamp, and it looks great. And I didn’t even use the fabulous dies!

Stampin’ Up! Basket of Blooms Thank You Card

Good Morning! Today I have a fun thank you card made with the sweet Stampin’ Up! Basket of Blooms photopolymer stamp set. For today’s card, I used one of the color palettes from the Stampin’ Up! Color Coach that I described in my post here. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a strip of Playing with Patterns designer series paper to a strip of Cinnamon Cider card stock and then adhered the layered strip to the front of a Coastal Cabana card base. I wrapped a length of linen thread twice around the card and tied a bow on the right side. I cut a panel of So Saffron card stock with with the largest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched Rectangle Dies and embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. I popped it on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the basket from the Stampin’ Up! Basket of Blooms stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White. I colored it with the Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut it out with my paper snips. I punched 4 leaf clusters with the sprig punch from Just Jade card stock. I stamped 8 flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Basket of Blooms stamp set in Magenta Madness ink and punched them out with the Small Bloom Punch. I accented the centers with Coastal Cabana resin dots.

I adhered 3 of the sprig clusters to the So Saffron panel on the card front with multipurpose liquid glue, fanning them out. I popped the basket on with dimensionals and popped on 7 of the flowers with dimensionals. I felt that the flowers covered too much of the leaves, so I punched additional sprig tips and adhered them with liquid glue around the tops of the flowers to add more greenery. Much better! 😊

For the inside, I adhered a strip of the Playing with Patterns DSP to the bottom of a Whisper White panel. I adhered the last sprig and flower and stamped the thank you sentiment from the Free as a Bird stamp set in Magenta Madness ink in the lower corner for something a little different. Do you like it? I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I wanted to use the Color Coach to come up with color palettes for my cards, but I have struggled with it. So I was really happy with how this card came out and I’m encouraged to try another palette. Today’s palette is Magenta Madness, Coastal Cabana and So Saffron. Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!!
