Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Boughs Wreath Seasons Greetings Card

Good Morning! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. I have a Christmas card this morning made with the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Boughs bundle and the Stampin’ Up! Christmastime Is Here specialty designer series paper. I love cards with dimensional wreaths and so I made one with the small bough from the Beautiful Boughs dies in the bundle. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut out 7 small boughs from the Beautiful Boughs dies using Old Olive card stock. I sponged the outside of each bough with Old Olive ink so that it would have some texture. I cut out a circle with two medium circle dies from the Layering Circles dies using Early Espresso card stock. I adhered the boughs around the circle with liquid glue on the stem and lowest needle section. I tucked the last stem underneath the first branch’s upper needles, so that it looks like a continuous circle of pine branches.

I cut a panel of the pinecone paper from the Christmastime Is Here specialty designer series paper and adhered it to a Poppy Parade card base with liquid glue. I stamped the Seasons Greetings sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Boughs stamp set in Poppy Parade ink on Crumb Cake card stock and cut it out with the small label die from the Beautiful Boughs dies.

I adhered the wreath to the card front with mini dimensionals. I made a bow with Real Red ribbon and adhered it to the bottom of the wreath with glue dots. I finished the wreath off with red glitter enamel dots. I adhered the label to the card with mini dimensionals.

I stamped the greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Boughs stamp set in Poppy Parade on a Whisper White panel for the inside of the card. I stamped the medium pine sprig stamp over the sentiment in Old Olive after stamping off twice. I added a strip of the pinecone DSP to the bottom and adhered it to a Crumb Cake mat before adhering it to the inside of the card.

I thought the Christmastime Is Here pinecone paper would coordinate nicely with the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Boughs bundle. What do you think?

Join me on Sunday at 1 PM on my Facebook Page for my weekly Facebook Live session as I re-do one of the Make and Takes that I received from Stampin’ Up! On Stage a couple of weeks ago. It did not come out very well and I will show you how to make it better (I hope it comes out better). I will post it on my Monday blog so you can catch it there if you have a busy weekend planned. I think all weekends are going to be busy for the next month!

Stampin’ Up! Pop of Petals Christmas Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Today I made a Christmas Card using the Stampin’ Up! Pop of Petals stamp set and Four Petal Punch for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. These flowers reminded me of poinsettias and I love poinsettia Christmas cards, so I made a background full of poinsettias for my card today.

We have a sketch challenge in the Blog Hop this week, and here is the sketch we are using:

I started by stamping 18 of the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Pop of Petals stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on shimmery white card stock. I punched them out with the four petal punch and colored them with the Cherry Cobbler Light Stampin’ Blends. I stamped 18 of the flower centers in Mango Melody ink on shimmery white card stock and fussy cut then with my paper snips. I adhered a flower center to each Cherry Cobbler flower.

I took a panel of Whisper White and embossed it with the tufted embossing folder and arranged the flowers all over the embossed panel, going off the edges. I adhered them with liquid glue and trimmed the flowers to be even with the embossed panel. I adhered it to a Basic Black mat with liquid glue and then to a Mossy Meadow card base with dimensionals.

I die cut the medium branch from the Beautiful Boughs dies from a panel of Mossy Meadow and the small pine cone pieces from Crumb Cake and Soft Suede. I colored a strip of the Whisper White Flax ribbon with Light Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends and trimmed the ends. I stamped the Sentiment from the Peaceful Boughs stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Cherry Cobbler and die cut it with the small label from the Beautiful Boughs dies. I arranged the pieces on the bottom of the card front and adhered them with glue dots and dimensionals. I finished off the arrangement with a tied strip of the polka dot tulle ribbon and yellow gems.

I decorated the inside of the card by adhering a small die cut Mossy Meadow branch from the Beautiful Boughs dies and another flower to a Whisper White panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Frosted Foliage stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added a Basic Black mat before adhering it to the inside of the card.

It’s hard to see the diamond pattern from the Tufted Embossing folder or the shimmer on the flowers, but these textures add depth and richness to the background.

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Boughs Seasons Greetings Card

Good Morning! Today made a country style Christmas card with the Come to Gather Designer Series paper, the pretty peacock gingham paper, and the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Boughs bundle. This bundle combines the Peaceful Boughs cling stamp set and the Beautiful Boughs dies at a 10% discount. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started by embossing Crumb cake Card stock with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder. I lightly sponged it with crumb cake ink to enhance the texture and then adhered it to a Pretty Peacock mat. I added the Pretty Peacock gingham paper from the Come to Gather DSP pack to the bottom and wrapped a length of the Come to Gather Crumb Cake Ribbon around the seam with snail adhesive. I added tape to the back to secure it. I adhered the layered panel to a Real Red card base with liquid glue.

I die cut the following using the Beautiful Boughs dies to make the arrangement:

  • A medium branch from Vellum card stock
  • Two small branches from Pretty Peacock card stock
  • Three small solid pine cones from Crumb Cake card stock
  • Three small textured pine cones from Soft Suede card stock

I glued the Soft Suede pine cones to the Crumb cake pine cones to get the layered look. I built the arrangement using glue dots to adhere the pieces, starting with the Vellum branch on the bottom, two Pretty Peacock branches next and topped it with the pine cones. I tied a short length of the Crumb Cake ribbon in a knot to make a faux bow and adhered it to the arrangement with glue dots.

I stamped the Seasons Greetings sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Boughs stamp set in Real Red ink on a scrap of Whisper White. I cut it out with the small label die from the Beautiful Boughs dies. I added two Pretty Peacock faceted dots to the label and popped it on the card with dimensionals. I then nestled the pine cone arrangement under the label and adhered it with glue dots.

On the inside of the card, I added a strip of the Pretty Peacock gingham paper to the bottom of a Whisper White panel. I stamped the small branch from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Boughs stamp set in Pretty Peacock after stamping off twice. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Boughs stamp set in Real Red ink. I matted the panel with Pretty Peacock and adhered it to the inside of the card.

I love country decor and the gingham and natural elements of the wood planks, pine cones and branches give this card a comfy holiday feel – all you need is a warm fireplace!

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Boughs Celebrate the Season

Good Morning! Today I have another Christmas card made with the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Boughs stamp set and Beautiful Boughs dies.

It’s in blue and gold and uses the design from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches #408. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started by dusting a panel of Seaside Spray card stock with with my embossing buddy and randomly stamping the 3 branch stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Boughs stamp set in VersaMark ink. I sprinkled it with gold embossing powder and heat set. I matted it with gold foil paper and adhered it to a Seaside Spray card base with dimensionals.

I cut 2 of the small branches using the Beautiful Boughs dies in gold foil. I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set in VersaMark ink on a strip of Seaside Spray cardstock, sprinkled it with gold embossing powder and heat set. I trimmed the end and backed it with a strip of gold foil and arranged it on the card with the two gold foil branches.

I finished the card front with a gold satin bow and gold glitter dots, both from the upcoming Christmastime is Here suite (available Nov 1).

On a panel of Whisper White, I stamped the corners with branches from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Boughs stamp set with VersaMark ink. I also stamped the sentiment from the Merry Christmas to all photopolymer stamp set in the middle. I sprinkled it with gold embossing powder and heat set. I adhered it to the inside of the card.

Embossed cards at Christmas are so elegant. And this one is a simple design that easy to make. That’s a double bonus!!
