Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch Thank You Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch bundle is carrying over into the new 2022 – 2023 Annual catalog so YAY! With sweet sentiments, and wonderful dies, it’s definitely a favorite. But unfortunately the pretty Pansy Petals DSP is retiring, so I wanted to use it to make a simple card using scrappy strips of the pretty paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I selected 5 scrappy strips of the Pansy Petals designer series paper between 3″ – 5″ long and 1/2″ – 1″ wide. I cut a Thick Basic White card base and arranged the strips on the card base. Since some of the designs have a distinct up direction, I was careful to make sure the flowers weren’t upside down or sideways and the colors looked good next to each other. It’s relaxing to rearrange the strips to get the right combination.

Once I got the arrangement I liked, I took a picture with my phone and used it to recreate the design with adhesive, adhering each strip and for this design, I tried to keep them straight. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch stamp set in Evening Evergreen on Basic White and cut it out with the Oval Double Punch. I cut a Soft Succulent panel with the scalloped Oval from the punch and adhered them together.

I folded a length of Bumble gingham ribbon and adhered it to the card front with glue dots and adhered the label on top with dimensionals. I finished the label with a small Fresh Freesia flower. There are so many different ways to add additional layers to this design and step it up for a fancier design. This DSP is so pretty that it can stand on it’s own and the design is simple enough for anyone to make!

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch stamp set in Calypso Coral on the inside of the card. Since I used Thick Basic White for the card base, it doesn’t need an additional lining (of course if you make a boo boo, you can always cover it up with an additional layer – I was lucky today). I used the pansy dies to die cut a small pansy and leaf from the Pansy Petals DSP and adhered them to the top corner with liquid glue.

The Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch bundle is so sweet and I’m so glad that it’s sticking around. And while the Pansy Petals DSP is retiring, the good news is that it is on sale, so get it before it’s gone!

Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch Birthday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Today I used the pretty Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch bundle to make a sweet birthday card. With the warmer weather, I planted some pansies by my mailbox this weekend, so I had to pull out this set for today’s card. With all the excitement about the new products, I forgot how beautiful this suite is, so it’s time to re-discover it! You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a Theme Challenge this week with the wonderful theme of Flowers – so perfect!

This card is kind of a fun fold card, where the card front is cut in half and turned sideways, so part of the inside of the card is showing – perfect for showing off pretty DSP. So I adhered panels of the pansy filled Pansy Petals designer series paper to the inside and to the front of a my Calypso Coral card base. I adhered a Calypso Coral dotted panel of the Pansy Petals DSP to the cut off front panel, and adhered it to the card front with Tear & Tape, centering the panel on the card.

I cut my flower and bud from Basic White, Pale Papaya, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Evening Evergreen using the Pansy Dies from the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch bundle. I adhered the Pale Papaya large petal edge to the Basic White base and topped it with the Calypso Coral center detail and a Daffodil Delight flower center. I adhered the two Calypso Coral edges to the two Pale Papaya small petals and adhered them both to the back of the Basic White large flower. I adhered the Pale Papaya bud petal to the Basic White bud base and adhered them to the Evening Evergreen stem. I adhered the bud with glue dots and the large flower with dimensionals.

I cut some Evening Evergreen leaves from the Pansy Patch DSP and tucked them under the large pansy. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on Pale Papaya and cut it out with the Ornate Frames die. I adhered it to the card front. I finished off the card with a Pale Papaya bow and some iridescent gems, adding a large one to the pansy center!

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch stamp set in Evening Evergreen on a Basic White panel. I cut out a small pansy from the Pansy Patch DSP and adhered it to the corner and adhered the panel to a Calypso Coral mat. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with liquid glue, lining it up so that it would be covered by the front panel.

The Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch bundle is really sweet and makes gorgeous dimensional pansies. The sentiments are also great and the Pansy Patch DSP is perfect for all your Spring cards.

Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch Hello Card

Good Morning! It’s been a short week, but it’s Happy Friday again – Yay! Today’s card is a simple hello card made with the fabulous Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch photopolymer stamp set and the beautiful Pansy Petals designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I used the pretty sketch in the Fab Friday 217 Sketch Challenge for today’s card – It’s perfect for showing off pretty designer series papers! Here it is:

I embossed a panel of Fresh Freesia card stock with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Fresh Freesia card base.

I adhered the Bumblebee and Calypso Coral strips of Pansy Petals DSP to the large floral Pansy Petals panel with liquid glue and adhered the layered panel to a Fresh Freesia mat. I adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on a Fresh Freesia strip. I adhered it to the card front with dimensionals and finished the card front with three flower flourishes adhered with glue dots.

For the inside of the card, I simply adhered strips of Pansy Petals DSP to the bottom of a Basic White panel and adhered an embossed piece of Fresh Freesia on top so that it would mirror the card front design. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch stamp set has so many wonderful sentiments in addition to pretty pansies! I just love this little sentiment and it’s the perfect thought to go with the small, scattered flowers.

Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning! Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Today I made a fun fold Thank You card with featuring the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch bundle and the pretty Pansy Petals designer series paper. The style of the card is called a Book Fold or Book Binder Fold and it’s an easy fun fold that is great for showcasing pretty coordinating designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a theme challenge this week and our challenge is to use punches! How fun!!

I applied Tear & Tape to the side hinge part of a Pale Papaya card base, pulled the cover and adhered the hinge closed. I adhered the Soft Succulent gingham Pansy Petals DSP to an Evening Evergreen mat and adhered it to the hinge with liquid glue. I wrapped the hinge with a length of Fresh Freesia Ribbon and tied a bow. I secured the bow to the hinge with a glue dot. I adhered the floral Pansy Petals DSP to an Evening Evergreen Mat and popped it onto the open part of the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Petals photopolymer stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on a Fresh Freesia panel and punched it out with the Double Oval punch. I punched a Soft Succulent panel with the scalloped oval section and adhered the two punched ovals together with liquid glue and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I stamped small pansies from the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch stamp set in Pale Papaya, Pumpkin Pie, Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape and Daffodil Delight. I stamped two in Pale Papaya with stamped off Pumpkin Pie accents and Daffodil Delight centers and two with Gorgeous Grape outsides and accents, Fresh Freesia tops (I masked off the bottom three petals) and Daffodil Delight centers. I cut all of them out with the die.

I stamped the leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch stamp set in Soft Succulent backgrounds and Evening Evergreen details and cut them out with the corresponding dies. I adhered three leaves to the card front with liquid glue and popped the pansies on top with dimensionals. I finished the card front off with 2021-2023 In Color jewels.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch stamp set in Fresh Freesia ink on a Basic White panel and adhered the remaining die cut pansies and leaves in the top corner. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Book Fold card is a real easy fun fold and it’s great with the Pansy Petals DSP. The Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch bundle is so pretty and versatile. It’s so much fun to play with because pansies come in so many different colors and styles and you can combine the stamps in so many different ways to recreate your favorites!

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments Friendship Card

Good morning! Today I’m sharing a simple friendship card made with the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments cling stamp set and the wonderful Brilliant Wings dies. And my background is from the pretty Pansy Petals designer series paper pack! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Pansy Petals designer series paper to an Evening Evergreen mat and popped it on to the front of a Fresh Freesia card base with dimensionals.

I cut out the butterfly from Pale Papaya Shimmer vellum with the Brilliant Wings dies and adhered it to the card front with glue dots, leaving room for the label. I added Pale Papaya jewels to the body for extra sparkle.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on a Pale Papaya panel and punched the ends with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. I adhered a strip of Pale Papaya gingham DSP to the card front and popped the label on top with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on a Basic White panel and adhered a panel of Pansy Patch DSP to the side. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The new In Color Shimmer Vellum is beautiful and make amazing die cut butterflies with the Brilliant Wings dies. And the wonderful sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments stamp set go beautifully with everything.

We’ll be heading home tomorrow after three weeks in sunny Tucson. It’s been great to see the grandkids again, but I’m eager to get back to stamping and blogging on a regular basis!

Stampin’ Up! Vine Design for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Have you seen the pretty Stampin’ Up! Vine Design bundle? It has some of the prettiest floral die cuts and wonderful sentiments and I paired it with the Fresh Freesia gingham from the Pansy Petals designer series paper for a sweet and simple Hello note card. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week and here is the wonderful sketch we are using:

I adhered a panel of Fresh Freesia gingham from the Pansy Petals designer series paper pack to the front of a Fresh Freesia card base.

I cut the circle flower die from the Flowering Vines dies from Soft Sea Foam and Fresh Freesia panels and 8 of the little solid flower dies from Basic White. I cut out all of the Fresh Freesia flowers with my paper snips and adhered each to a Basic White solid flower. I then adhered the flowers on top of the flowers on the Soft Sea Foam die cut. I adhered the layered floral circle die cut to the card front with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Vine Design cling stamp set in Fresh Freesia ink on Basic White and cut it out with the smallest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I adhered the label to the card front with dimensionals and finished the card by adhering a small Fresh Freesia In Color jewel to each of the flowers.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flower and leaf from the Stampin’ Up! Vine Design stamp set in Fresh Freesia and Soft Sea Foam inks in the corner of a Basic White panel. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Fresh Freesia Pansy Petals DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Vine Design bundle is a wonderful bundle with it’s floral dies! There’s a rectangle, oval and this circle floral die and the coordinating stamps have flowers to match and great sentiments. Try making a die cut inlay design!

Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch Thank You Card

Good morning!  One of the cutest bundles in the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog is the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch bundle. Today I am using the Pansy dies with the new Pansy Petals designer series paper to make a sweet pansy Thank You card. You can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used. The Pansy Patch bundle along with the designer series papers and embellishments on my card will be available when the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog launches next week on May 4, 2021.

I adhered a panel of Pale Papaya striped paper from the new 2021-2023 In Color 6″ x 6″ designer series paper pack to a basic White panel with liquid glue. I embossed a Pale Papaya panel with the Meadow Moments embossing folder and adhered it to the bottom. I wrapped the panel with a length of pale papaya ribbon, securing it in the back and adhered it to the front of a Pale Papaya card base with dimensionals.

I cut a Basic White panel with the scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I used the Pansy Dies from the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch bundle to die cut three large pansies and four leaves from the Pansy Petals designer series paper. I arranged the pansies and leaves on the scalloped rectangle and adhered the leaves and two of the pansies with glue dots. I adhered the last pansy with dimensionals and adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Pansy Patch photopolymer stamp set using Soft Succulent ink on Basic White and cut it out with the smallest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I adhered the label to the card front with dimensionals and glue dots. I finished the card front with the new 2021-2023 In Color jewels.

For the inside of the card, I cut a small pansy from the Pansy Petals DSP and adhered it to a Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch stamp set in Soft Succulent ink next to the flower and adhered the striped Pale Papaya DSP to the bottom. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I love that the dies from the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch bundle can cut some of the images from the Pansy Petals designer series paper! It just gives you another option for using this wonderful new bundle. And it will finally be available next week on May 4, 2021! Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch Sneak Peek Video Tutorial

Good Morning! I hope you had a good weekend. Today I’m sharing a sneak peek of the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch card that I made during my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon. This gorgeous bundle is really versatile and fun to play with. I also use some new In Colors – Fresh Freesia, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen! You can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used. Note that all of the new In Colors and products will be available when the new 2021 – 2022 Annual Catalog goes live on May 5, 2021! Yay!!

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

I adhered a panel of new Pansy Petals designer series paper to the front of a Fresh Freesia (one of the new 2021-2023 In Colors) card base. I die cut the pansy flower pieces from Fresh Freesia, Daffodil Delight and Blackberry Bliss card stock using the Pansy dies from the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch bundle. I cut one of everything, but two of the smaller single petals and coordinating trim. I cut the flower stem from Soft Succulent (a new 2021-2023 In Color) and the leaves from Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen (another new 2021-2023 In Color) card stock.

I adhered the petal trim pieces for the pansy to the main petals with liquid glue and used mini glue dots to adhere the Daffodil Delight center and the two back petal to the large front petal. I used glue dots to adhere the bud layers and adhere the bud to the stem. I used liquid glue to adhere the Evening Evergreen detailed die cut leaves to the Soft Succulent leaves. I cut a scalloped rectangle from the Scalloped Contours dies (available May 5, 2021) from Basic White card stock and adhered the stem and bud with a glue dot to the die cut panel. I adhered the leaves to the bottom and popped the pansy flower on with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch photopolymer stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on a strip of Soft Succulent card stock and trimmed the ends with the Banners Pick A Punch. I adhered the label to the card front with glue dots and popped on the pansy panel with dimensionals. I finished with a gold bumblebee trinket (available May 5, 2021).

For the inside, I trimmed the bottom of a Basic White panel with the pretty Pansy Petal DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch bundle is really great for making with Spring cards – there are so many pansies out and about these days! I can’t wait until it’s available on May 5, 2021 so everyone can have fun playing with this set. Below I have pictured my card, the stamp set, dies, Pansy Petals designer series paper and sweet bumblebee trinkets.
