Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thanksgiving!! My turkey should be in the oven by now so it’s time for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! For today’s hop, I used the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony bundle with the Heartwarming Hugs designer series paper to make a holiday season birthday card. I love this peony and I wanted to use it for a special December baby birthday card. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week, and here is the pretty sketch we are using for our projects:

Emboss a Real Red Panel with the Parisian Flourish embossing folder and adhere it to the front of a Real Red Card Base. Adhere the striped Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series paper to the back of the red dotted designer series paper and then adhere it to the card front. Stamp the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments cling stamp set in Real Red ink on a Whisper White panel and cut it out with the Painted Labels Die. Adhere the label to the card front.

Cut the poppy petals from a Whisper White panel using the Peony Dies from the Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony bundle. Lightly sponge the petals with Real Red ink. Cut the flower center from Bumblebee. Assemble the flower and add a couple of half dimensionals at the top of the flower between the last two layers. Brush clear Wink of Stella on the flower to give it some sparkle. Cut the leaves from Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz and adhere the pieces together.

Adhere the peony to the card front with glue dots. Adhere the leaves under the flower with glue dots. Make a bow with Real Red sheer ribbon and adhere a short length of Polka dot tulle ribbon behind it. Adhere it to the card and finish with three rhinestone gems.

Stamp the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set in Real Red ink on a Whisper White panel. Adhere a strip of the Heartwarming Hugs DSP to the bottom and adhere the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony bundle is a beautiful set with gorgeous peony images as well as this innovative 3D die cut flower. It’s a must have if you love to make floral cards!

Stampin’ Up! Tag Buffet

Good Morning! Today I want to show you a pair of versatile Christmas products called the Stampin’ Up! Tag Buffet kit and Stampin’ Up! Tag Buffet photopolymer stamp set. The Tag Buffet kit has supplies to make 30 gorgeous tags – five each of 6 different designs. You can see the contents of the kit in the picture below. The tags are double layered, with gold foil accents, gorgeous images and laser cuts. Plus it all comes in the cute holly box!

Here is the tag that I made featuring the Christmas Tree. It’s a gorgeous tree and I added some red rhinestones and made it pretty much according to the instructions included. Note the pretty sentiment – it’s from the Stampin’ Up! Tag Buffet photopolymer stamp set. The labels in the kit are perfectly sized to fit the sentiments in the stamp set.

Before I talk more about the stamp set, I want to show that the tags can easily be made into cards. Here I made a Real Red card base and adhered a Real Red panel that was embossed with the Winter Snow 3D embossing folder. I made the pretty stocking tag according to the kit instructions and adhered it to the front of the embossed card base. Rather than using the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Tag Buffet stamp set, I used a sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas and stamped it on a pretty circle die cut from Tasteful Labels dies. I wanted to show that you can use the tags with many different Christmas stamp sets, including some that you may have in your current stash!

But I think the Stampin’ Up! Tag Buffet stamp set is perfect for the tag project kit. And when you’ve completed all the tags, you can still use the stamp set on it’s own! Here’s a card that I made with the stamps, along with the Heartwarming Hugs designer series paper and the Painted Labels Dies. Isn’t that Merry Christmas sentiment beautiful!!

Here is the inside of the card showing the wonderful inside Christmas greeting.

Here is a closeup of the pretty stamp set. You can see how beautifully the stamps coordinate with the images in the Stampin’ Up! Tag Buffet kit. With both, you can pretty Christmas cards with coordinating tags for all your special holiday gift needs.

And the pretty Heartwarming Hugs designer series paper that I used in my last card is on sale this month!

Stampin’ Up! In The Pines Christmas Card

Good Morning! Today I’m sharing another card that I made for World Card Making Day. This time, I made another Christmas Card with the Stampin’ Up! In The Pines bundle. This is one of my favorites from the Aug-Dec Mini catalog because it is so versatile for making tree themed Christmas Cards. And I paired it with some of the pretty papers from the Heartwarming Hugs designer series paper pack which is currently on sale (see below)! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Cut out the scalloped oval from Whisper White card stock using the Layering Ovals Dies. Cut out the regular oval from the Mossy Meadow dotted paper in the Heartwarming Hugs designer series paper pack. Use the die from the Pine Woods Dies (which comes in the Stampin’ Up! In The Pines bundle) to cut out the center of the Mossy Meadow dotted oval. Adhere the tree oval to the Whisper White scalloped oval.

Adhere the Pear Pizzazz strip to the Real Red background paper, both papers from the Heartwarming Hugs DSP pack and adhere the layered DSP to a Whisper White mat. Wrap a length of the Real Red sheer ribbon around the panel and secure it in the back. Pop it on the front of a Real Red card base with dimensionals and pop the layered oval tree on the panel with dimensionals.

Adhere a bow next to the oval on the ribbon strip and trim the ends. Punch the ends of a Whisper White strip with the Banners Pick a Punch and stamp the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! In The Pines photopolymer stamp set in Real Red Ink. Adhere the label to the tree oval and decorate the card front with red rhinestones.

Stamp the sentiment from the Dove of Hope cling stamp set in Real Red ink on a Whisper White panel. Stamp the medium outline tree from the Stampin’ Up! In The Pines stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink, after stamping off twice, next to the sentiment. Adhere a strip of the Real Red Heartwarming Hugs DSP to the bottom and adhere the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up In The Pines bundle is such a versatile set – you may recall that I used another tree die cut from this set for my card last Friday and achieved a completely different look. This bundle is a must have for making Christmas Tree cards!! Click on the image below to get the full details of this bundle in my Online Store.

The Facebook Live video where I made the card is in the Inkin’ Krew World Card Making Day group. I’m still working on linking it to my Facebook Business page so you can view it there. I also plan to edit the video and post a shortened version on my YouTube Channel by the end of the week. Thanks for stopping by and have a Great Week!!
