Stampin’ Up! Forever Gold Thinking of You Card

Good Morning! Today I have a simple and elegant thinking of you card made with the Stampin’ Up! Forever Gold specialty laser cut paper. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Thick Very Vanilla card base. I adhered the beautiful large gold fern leaf from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Gold specialty laser cut paper to the front with small dots of liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia cling stamp set in Versamark ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock. I sprinkled it with gold embossing powder and heat set until shiny. I cut it out with the die from the Tasteful Labels Dies.

I wrapped the card twice with gold floss and tied a bow. I popped the embossed label on the card front with dimensionals and finished it off with three metallic pearls.

I cut the top of another large gold fern from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Gold specialty laser cut paper and adhered it to the bottom corner of a Very Vanilla panel with dots of liquid glue. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

This card is so simple, but the gold foil leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Gold specialty laser cut paper makes it so elegant and special. And while this card is a thinking of you card, you could replace the label with any sentiment and use it for many different occasions from a wedding card to a masculine birthday card. Here are all the pretty laser-cut gold foil elements that come in the set – you get three of each!!

Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia Hello Card

Good Morning! Today’s card uses the Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia bundle with the Magnolia Lane designer series paper for a sweet, elegant hello card that is full of flowers. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of card stock used.

I colored the background of a panel of Magnolia Lane DSP with the Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend and adhered it to an Early Espresso Mat. I cut a lacy border from vellum using the Delicate Lace Dies and adhered it to the edge of the designer series paper with liquid glue. I cut a thin strip of Mossy Meadow card stock and adhered it over the edge of the vellum to cover the glue. I adhered the panel to the front of a Crumb Cake card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the Hello sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Petal Pink and cut it out with a scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I stamped the magnolia bud on Whisper White in Early Espresso ink and colored it with Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I cut it out with the coordinating die from the Magnolia Memories Dies and adhered it to the label with liquid glue.

I adhered the label and flower to the card front with dimensionals. I tied a short length of Petal Pink ribbon and tucked it under the edge with a glue dot and finished the label with a champagne rhinestone.

I colored the background of another strip of the Magnolia Lane designer series paper with the Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend and adhered it to the bottom of a Whisper White panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with multipurpose liquid glue.

The Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia bundle is one of my favorites from the Annual Catalog! It was really fun to pull it out again and make a simple card that shows off the beautiful flowers in the designer series paper.

Stampin’ Up! Cherry Blossoms Thinking of You Card

Good Morning! Today I am thinking Spring and bringing you a Thinking of You card made with the Stampin’ Up! Cherry Blossoms dies that are part of the Parisian Blossoms suite and Forever Blossoms bundle in the new Mini Catalog. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a panel of Pool Party card stock with the beautiful Parisian Flourish embossing folder and adhered it to a Pool Party card base with snail. I cut a panel of the Parisian Blossoms specialty designer series paper and adhered it to a Petal Pink mat. I cut one of each of the flowers in the Stampin’ Up! Cherry Blossoms dies from Whisper White card stock. Note that the smaller dies cut two flowers in each die and that there are two dies of each for the larger flowers. I cut a total of 8 flowers and for the smaller flowers, I was careful to save the centers. I sponged the edges of each flower with Petal Pink ink along with the centers of the larger flowers. I cut two sets of the stamen center dies from Smoky Slate card stock (note that the die cuts two stamen centers at a time).

I adhered a stamen to the center of each of the larger flowers with multipurpose liquid glue. I colored the tiny centers of the smaller flowers with the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend. I stuck a glue dot behind each of the small flowers and adhered the centers to the flowers. I cut a branch from the Stampin’ Up! Cherry Blossoms die set from Soft Suede card stock. I stamped the Thinking of You sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set in Smoky Slate ink on a scrap of Petal Pink card stock. The font is the same as the font in the Parisian Blossoms suite, so it goes well with the set and gives you alternative sentiments to use while keeping the same elegant feel. I cut the sentiment out with one of the Stitched Nested Labels dies.

I arranged the branch and label on the Parisian Blossoms DSP panel and adhered them with multipurpose liquid glue. I arranged the flowers and adhered the large ones with dimensionals and the small ones with glue dots. I finished off each flower center with a Champagne rhinestone and added a bow to the label made with the metallic edge Petal Pink ribbon. I adhered the Parisian Blossoms panel on the card front with dimensionals.

I kept the inside of the card simple with plenty of space to write a personal message. I adhered a strip of the Parisian Blossoms specialty designer series paper to the bottom of a Whisper White panel and attached it to the inside of the card.

The Parisian Blossoms suite is so beautiful and the Stampin’ Up! Cherry Blossoms dies allow you to create elegant and beautiful dimensional floral cards. With the unique shapes of each flower, you have a lot of movement and flexibility in arranging them on the branch.

Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence Thank You Card

Good Morning! I hope you had a great weekend! Today I have a Floral Thank You card made with the Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence Photopolymer stamp set. I was inspired by the colors and theme in the Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge #322.

I just love these colors – they are so elegant and kind of old fashioned! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

So here’s my card. I started by running a panel of Rococo Rose cardstock through the Tin Tile embossing folder and adhering it to a Blackberry Bliss mat. I took a piece of Raspberry Ripple grosgrain ripple ribbon from my stash and wrapped it around the bottom, securing it in the back. I embossed the Thanks sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set using silver embossing powder on a strip of the Petal Pink vellum from the Perennial Essence vellum cardstock and adhered it over the ribbon.

I then worked on the flower bouquet. I stamped two of the solid flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence stamp set in Blackberry Bliss and one in Flirty Flamingo on Whisper White cardstock. I stamped one of the small solid flowers in Flirty Flamingo and one in Blackberry Bliss (for the inside of the card) on Whisper White cardstock. I then fussy cut all the flowers. I stamped four sets of the the leaves in Smoky Slate ink on Whisper White cardstock and punched them out with the leaf punch (much easier than fussy cutting!).

I stamped centers for the flowers in Versamark ink on Whisper White and embossed them in Silver. I fussy cut them and adhered them to the flowers using liquid glue. I then arranged the leaves and Flirty Flamingo flowers on the card front panel and adhered them with liquid glue. I adhered the two large Blackberry Bliss flowers together to make a larger flower and popped it on the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card front with three frosted epoxy drops and popped the panel on a Gray Granite card base with dimensionals.

I decorated the inside of the card by stamping another leaf branch in Smoky Slate ink on a panel of Whisper White and adhered the last Blackberry Bliss flower over it. I then added Rococo Rose and Blackberry Bliss mats and adhered it to the inside of the card with liquid glue.

I hope you liked my card for today. Thanks for visiting and have a great week!

Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia Thinking of You Card

Good Morning! Years ago when I was first married, we lived in northwest Florida and we had a magnificent Magnolia Grandiflora tree in the back yard of our little house. Ever since, I have loved these flowers and was thrilled when I saw that Stampin’ Up! has a new bundle showcasing this beautiful force of nature. The Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia stamp set is part of the Magnolia Lane suite which features lots of coordinating products including DSP, an embossing folder, memories and more card pack, ribbon and cork embellishments. The Good Morning Magnolia bundle has the Cling Stamps and coordinating dies including dies to make 3-D flowers.

So on to today’s card…

I started by stamping the large magnolia flower on Whisper White cardstock using Early Espresso Ink. I used my Stamparatus to stamp it, because I don’t have the large stamping block and it worked wonderfully! I then die cut it using the coordinating die and colored it using the light Petal Pink, light and dark Old Olive and dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I used the Pineapple Punch Stampin Write Marker to color the stamen.

I layered a piece of the Magnolia Lane DSP with the dainty flower buds on a Mossy Meadow mat and attached it to a Petal Pink card base with dimensionals. On a scrap of Mossy Meadow, I stamped the Thinking of You stamp in Versamark ink after dusting it with the embossing buddy. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set. I then cut it out with the Stitched Nested Labels die and trimmed the left side and attached it to the card with glue dots. I went to attach the flower to the card with dimensionals and determined that it was a little floppy, so I die cut another large flower in Whisper White cardstock and glued them together with multipurpose liquid glue before attaching them with dimensionals. The double layer of Whisper White made it much stiffer and better for use with dimensionals.

I finished off the card by tying piece of the Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle ribbon and gluing it to the stem of the flower.

The inside of the card is decorated with a strip of the same DSP as the card front background and a Mossy Meadow mat. I also took the magnolia bud stamp and stamped it in early espresso after stamping it off 4 times. Since I had to stamp it off so much to get it light enough, I decided to use the 4th stamp to accent the envelop. So It was stamp it off 3 times on scrap paper, stamp the envelope and stamp the inside of the card! That Early Espresso goes a long way!

The Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia stamp set has so many wonderful images and greetings and and the suite has so many coordinating products, so I’ll be bringing this back for more designs. And I can’t wait to make a 3-D flower!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
