Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias Card

Good Morning! Have you seen the Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias photopolymer stamp set? This is a real pretty stamp set and it’s a Sale A Bration Level 2 item – this means that it is one of the items you can select for FREE with a $100 order before shipping and taxes.

Dahlias are one of my favorite summer flowers and this new Sale A Bration stamp set makes beautiful flowers. So I’m glad I was able to finally pull it out and make today’s card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Today’s card was inspired by the pretty sketch in TGIF Challenges 329 – #TGIFC329:

I started by embossing a panel of Soft Sea Foam card stock with the pretty Stitched Greenery embossing folder and adhering it to the front of a Soft Sea Foam card base.

I stamped the large outline dahlia from the Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias stamp set in Polished Pink ink on Basic White. I stamped the large fill dahlia stamp with stamped off Polished Pink over the outline image. Isn’t the shading beautiful? I fussy cut the image and covered it with clear Wink of Stella. I stamped three of the outline large leaf clusters in Garden Green ink on Basic White and stamped the fill in stamped off Garden Green. I fussy cut the leaves and adhered them to the card front with glue dots.

I adhered the dahlia flower over the leaves with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias stamp set in Garden Green ink on Basic White and cut it out with the die from the Seasonal Labels dies. I adhered the label with dimensionals and glue dots over the bottom of the flower. I finished the flower with a bumblebee trinket applied with a glue dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the large outline flower three times in stamped off Polished Pink on the borders of a Basic White panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Did I say how much I love dahlias? They come in so many sizes and colors and bloom all summer long! The pretty two step flowers and leaves in the Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias stamp set captures the beauty of these flowers so well.

Stampin’ Up! Create With Friends Note Card

Happy Saturday! I’m enjoying the last few weekends of Summer and I hope you are too! I have a friendship tag card today made with the wonderful Stampin’ Up! Create With Friends photopolymer stamp set. This set has wonderful sentiments that you can mix and match and I paired it with the Tailored Tags and Brilliant Wings dies. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a Harvest Meadow designer series paper panel with the pretty Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder (note – be careful when inserting the paper into the embossing folder to ensure that letters are not backwards or upside down). I adhered the embossed panel to a Basic White mat and adhered the layered panel to the front of a Soft Succulent card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the Friends sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Create With Friends stamp set in Versamark ink on a Soft Succulent panel and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I shook off the excess and heat set the powder with my heat tool. I stamped the Forever sentiment in Soft Succulent ink and cut it out with the large fancy tag from the Tailor Made Tags dies. I cut a reinforcement from Cinnamon Cider and adhered it to the hole and cut another tag from the Cork specialty paper. I adhered the cork to the back and threaded some diamond weave ribbon and split Soft Succulent ribbon through the holes. I tied the ribbons with a linen thread bow and popped the tags on the card front with dimensionals.

I cut the small detailed butterfly with the Brilliant Wings dies from Brushed Copper foil and adhered it to the tag with a glue dot. I finished the front with iridescent Soft Succulent jewels.

For the inside of the card, I embossed another strip of Harvest Meadow DSP with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder and adhered it to a Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Create With Friends stamp set in Soft Succulent in the lower corner, leaving plenty of room to write a personal message.

A simple tag card made with the pretty sentiments from Stampin’ Up! Create With Friends stamp set! It’s made special by combining a bunch of wonderful textures – the cork specialty paper, shiny metallic butterfly, ribbons and embossed background and sentiment.

Stampin’ Up! Sweet As A Peach for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Today’s card is made with the Stampin’ Up! Sweet As A Peach stamp bundle and the pretty You’re A Peach designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a color challenge this week and here is the sweet color palette we are using:

I adhered a thin strip of Calypso Coral dotted You’re A Peach designer series paper to a Balmy Blue dotted DSP and then adhered them both to the floral DSP. I adhered the layered DSP panel to the front of Mango Melody card base.

I cut another panel of Balmy Blue dotted You’re A Peach DSP with the third largest Layering Circles die and cut a Calypso Coral panel with the scalloped circle die and adhered them together. I adhered them to the card base with liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet As A Peach stamp set in Pear Pizzazz on Basic White and cut it out with the little label from the Peach dies.

I inked the large peach from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet As A Peach stamp set in Pale Papaya ink and used a sponge dauber to apply Calypso Coral ink around the edge. I stamped it on Basic White and cut it out with the coordinating die. I repeated this so that I had two peaches. I inked up the large leaves with Pear Pizzazz ink and used a sponge dauber to add Soft Suede ink to the stem. I stamped this on Basic White and cut the leaves out with the coordinating die. I repeated it so I had a leaf for each peach. I adhered the leaves to the peaches with glue dots and adhered the first peach to the circle with glue dots and the second with dimensionals. I adhered the label to the circle with glue dots to finish the card front.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the leaf branch from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet As A Peach stamp set in Pear Pizzazz in the corner of a Basic White panel. I inked the small peaches in Mango Melody and Calypso Coral using the same technique as the front peaches and stamped the little peaches on the branches. I stamped the sentiments in Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz and adhered a strip of the floral You’re A Peach DSP to the bottom of the panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Sweet As A Peach bundle is wonderful with gorgeous images, great sentiments and so many versatile dies. And the You’re a Peach designer series paper is so pretty – it’s a great combination for summertime cards for any occasion!

Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour You are Amazing Card

Good morning! Today I’m sharing a friendship card made with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour bundle and the sweet Hand-Penned designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Hand-Penned designer series paper to the front of a Soft Succulent card base with liquid glue. I cut a stitched scalloped rectangle from Basic White with the Scalloped Contours dies and used the spatter stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set with Pool Party ink to add color and texture to the background.

I stamped the flower and stem from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on another panel of Basic White and stamped the flower fill stamp in stamped off Cinnamon Cider ink. I squeezed some Soft Succulent ink into the top of the ink pad cover and used a blender pen to pick up some ink and used it to color the leaves. I cut out the flower with the coordinating die and popped it onto the scalloped rectangle with dimensionals on the top and a glue dot at the bottom of the stem. I adhered the panel to the front of the card with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Pool Party panel and cut it out with another Scalloped Contours die to make the label. I adhered the label to the front of the card with dimensionals and glue dots. I made a loopy triple bow with Linen Thread and adhered it to the stem with a glue dot and finished the front with three 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the side and upper corner of a Basic white panel. I stamped the flower fill stamp using stamped off Cinnamon Cider ink and colored the leaves in Soft Succulent using a Blender Pen. Then I stamped the spatter stamp in Pool Party ink over the flowers. I adhered a strip of Hand-Penned DSP to the bottom of the panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp bundle is a two step stamp set that makes pretty abstract flowers and it’s really nice to have coordinating dies that cut out the flowers. And the scalloped rectangles are really awesome – they’re sure to become one of your go to die sets for layering your cards.

Stampin’ Up! Cute Fruit Friendship Card II

Happy Tuesday! Today I’m bringing back the Stampin’ Up! Cute Fruit photopolymer stamp set for another friendship card. For this card, I used a random stamp all over technique to create a faux designer series paper that I cut into strips for my card sketch. This time, I used more of the stamps, and you can see how it ceases beautiful solid image fruits. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of this post along with the sizes of card stock used.

My card is also inspired by the sketch in the Sunday Stamps current challenge SSC250 – Split It Up:

I stamped the images randomly on a Basic White panel. I used Bumblebee and Mossy Meadow on the pineapples, Melon Mambo and Shaded Spruce on the watermelons, So Saffron and Crumb Cake on the bananas, Pumpkin Pie on the oranges and Granny Apple Green (stamped off once) for the kiwis.

Then I used the second largest of the long Stitched Rectangles dies to cut the panel into three sections. I matted each panel on Melon Mambo card stock and adhered them to a So Saffron panel. I popped the panel on the front of a Granny Apple Green card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Cute Fruit stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink on a Basic White strip. I trimmed the ends of a Shaded Spruce strip with the Lovely Labels Pick a punch and adhered the stamped strip to the punched strip. I adhered it to the front of the card with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the fruits along the bottom of a Basic White panel using the same colors as the card front. I adhered the panel to a Melon Mambo mat and then to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Cute Fruit stamp set is a fun little set that is in the Beginner’s Brochure – you can download a PDF by clicking on the image in the sidebar. It’s great for beginner stampers because it’s complete with several two step fruit stamps and sentiments that go with the fruit theme. And fruity cards are great way to bring colorful fun to dreary, cold winter days.

Stampin’ Up! Cute Fruit Friendship Card

Good morning and welcome to Simple Stamping Saturday! Today I’m sharing a cute friendship card made with the Stampin’ Up! Cute Fruit stamp set. This is one of the cute stamp sets in the Beginner’s Brochure and you can view the brochure in the right sidebar if you haven’t seen it yet. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

And today’s card was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #472 – a perfect sketch for many simple stamping techniques!

The Stampin’ Up! Cute Fruit photopolymer stamp set is a light hearted two step stamp set with pretty fruits, little smily faces and punny sentiments. I stamped the pineapple top in Mossy Meadow ink on a Basic White panel and then stamped the pineapple body under it in Bumblebee ink. I found it easier to line up when I stamped the top first because the ink is darker and it’s easier to see through the lighter inked stamp for better alignment. Then I stamped the pineapple on a post-it note and fussy cut it to make a mask.

I adhered the post-it note mask to cover the pineapple and stamped the watermelon center from the Stampin’ Up! Cute Fruit stamp set in Melon Mambo ink next to the pineapple, overlapping the masked pineapple. Doesn’t it make the watermelon look like it’s behind the pineapple? I stamped the watermelon rind in Shaded Spruce next to the watermelon, aligning the tops. On a separate Basic White panel, I stamped the orange center in Pumpkin Pie after stamping off and then the orange peel in Pumpkin Pie, aligning the centers. I fussy cut the orange. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and adhered the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat.

I trimmed the ends of strips of Melon Mambo, Mossy Meadow and Bumblebee DSP and adhered them together and then to the panel with glue dots. I adhered the orange to the panel with dimensionals and adhered a linen thread bow next to it with a glue dot. I popped the panel on the front of a Melon Mambo card base.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the pineapple in Mossy Meadow and Bumblebee like the front in the corner of a Basic White panel. I covered it with the post-it note mask and stamped the watermelon next to it in Melon Mambo and Shaded Spruce. In the opposite corner, I stamped the orange in Pumpkin Pie and then adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

There are other fruits in the Stampin’ Up! Cute Fruit stamp set, so I’ll have to play with it again soon. Stampin’ Up! Hydrangea Haven for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Today I have a sweet floral card made with the Stampin’ Up! Hydrangea Haven bundle and the beautiful Hydrangea Hill designer series paper. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a color challenge this week, and here’s the beautiful color palette we’re using. Luckily all of these colors are in the beautiful Hydrangea Hill panel I chose, but I did use Seaside Spray, Misty Moonlight and Old Olive for my flower and sentiments.

I adhered a panel of Hydrangea Hill designer series paper to a Seaside Spray mat and popped it on the front of a Misty Moonlight card base with dimensionals. I stamped the outline of the hydrangea from the Stampin’ Up! Hydrangea Haven photopolymer stamp set in Old Olive ink on a Thick Whisper White panel. I stamped the solid leaves and stem over the outline image in Old Olive and cut out the flower with the coordinating die.

I used the top of the flower die to cut a Seaside Spray panel with the flower. After trimming the stem, I adhered it to the top of the Thick Basic White flower. I stamped the solid flower from the Stampin’ Up! hydrangea Haven stamp set in Seaside Spray ink on a Basic White panel. I cut it out with the pierced petal flower die and gently bent each petal upward. I adhered it to the Seaside Spray flower with tiny dots of liquid glue and adhered a pearl to each flower center. I applied some adhesive sheets to the back of the Old Olive panel and cut out the outline leaves and stem die. I peeled off the adhesive backing and applied it to the stem and leaves.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Hydrangea Haven stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on a Basic White panel and cut it out with the second largest Stitched So Sweetly scalloped Rectangle die. I adhered the label to the card front with liquid glue and popped the flower on with dimensionals. I adhered a Metallic Seaside Spray bow to the flower to finish the card front.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Hydrangea Haven stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the flowers in the corner in Seaside Spray ink and masked the flowers and added some leaves to the bottom. I trimmed the side of the panel with a strip of the Hydrangea Hill DSP and adhered the panel to a Seaside Spray mat before adhering it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Hydrangea Haven bundle is a great bundle for making hydrangeas, and it has so many sweet sentiments! And the Hydrangea Hill designer series paper is really beautiful!

Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap Friendship Card

Good Friday morning! Today I have a simple, fun friendship card made with the Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap! photopolymer stamp set. You can find the supplies at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped the crocodile from the Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap stamp set on a solid Granny Apple Green sheet of the Sale A Bration Oh So Ombre 6″ x 6″ designer series paper and fussy cut it out. I turned the DSP over and stamped the bird in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the Blackberry Bliss side and fussy cut the body.

I adhered the crocodile to a panel of Pool Party from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap stamp set in Pretty Peacock and the bird in Blackberry Bliss. I adhered the fussy cut bird to the stamped bird and adhered the panel to a Pool Party Panel with liquid glue and popped the panel on a Pretty Peacock card base with dimensionals.

I finished the card front with three Pool Party adhesive sequins.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap stamp set in Pretty Peacock on a white panel. I stamped the other elements from the stamp set in Garden Green, Pool Party, Blackberry Bliss and Petal Pink ink and colored them with the light Blackberry Bliss, Petal Pink and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends and Color Lifter. I adhered a strip of Pool Party DSP to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap stamp set is a cute, whimsical stamp set with tons of fun, witty sentiments that are great for lots of occasions – Check it out. I plan to send this to my grandson … just because.

Last month Stampin’ Up! announced that the Whisper White products are being discontinued because the supplier’s mill had to close due to COVID-19 impacts. They even tested it with some demonstrators and concept artists who gave it the thumbs up. And it’s now available in the Online Store.

Here are the list of Basic White products with links:

I placed my order yesterday and can’t wait to get my hands on it! But it will take a little getting used to not calling it Whisper White anymore.

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden Friendship Card

Good Morning! Today I want to share a sneak peek of a bundle from the upcoming January – June 2021 Mini Catalog. You see, in a week and a half, the Stampin’ Up! Annual Meeting is going to start – OnStage! But due to the pandemic, this year’s event will be virtual – OnStage@Home! Last year was the first time I went and it was so much fun, and I think that it will still be fun, even virtual. Since I signed up to attend, I was able to purchase the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set early and so I can give you can get a sneak peek of these pretty upcoming products. You can find the list of supplies supplies of currently available products I used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used. The Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set and coordinating products will be available when the new Mini Catalog releases on January 4, 2021. Here’s my sneak peek:

I embossed a panel of Bumblebee card stock with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Bumblebee card base. One of the new designer series paper packs in the upcoming catalog is called Dandy Garden (available Jan 4, 2021) and it’s filled with pretty dandelion florals like this one in Mossy Meadow and Bumblebee. So I adhered it to a Basic Black mat and popped it on the card front with dimensionals.

Another panel of the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ designer series paper pack (available Jan 4, 2021) has lots of dragonflies that fit the Dragonfly punch that is also coming in on January 4th. So I punched a bunch of dragonflies from the paper and adhered them to the card front with liquid glue. Since one of my dragonflies is blue, I wrapped a length of Misty Moonlight ribbon around the card front and made a bow.

I stamped one of the pretty sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set (available Jan 4, 2021) in Misty Moonlight ink on a strip of Whisper White. I cut it out with one of the stitched dies from the Ornate Frames Dies and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue. I finished it with one of the cute ladybug embellishments (available Jan 4, 2021).

For the inside of the card, I stamped the dragonflies from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set (available Jan 4, 2021) in Misty Moonlight ink in the corners of a Whisper White panel. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Dandy Garden DSP (available Jan 4, 2021) and adhered it to a Basic Black mat and then to the inside of the card.

Aren’t these new products cute? They will be available on January 4, 2021 when the new January-June 2021 Mini Catalog releases – a nice thing to look forward to after Christmas!

Stampin’ Up! Grace’s Garden Watercolor Friendship Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Today I’m sharing a friendship card using the Stampin’ Up! Grace’s Garden photopolymer stamp set and Garden Gateway Dies that I made during my Facebook Live video tutorial yesterday afternoon. I CASE’d a card from the annual catalog because it uses a watercolor with ink technique to color the images and I was excited to try out my new water painters! You can find the supplies used to create this project at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made card:

I also posted the video to my YouTube Channel and you can view it here if you prefer.

I die cut a panel of Shimmery White with the third largest Stitched Rectangles Dies and used the large brush water painter to create a color wash with Pool Party on top and Old Olive on the bottom. I flattened the panel by placing it in a folded sheet of typing paper and ironing it, since the watercoloring caused it to warp.

I stamped the garden gate from the Stampin’ Up! Grace’s Garden photopolymer stamp set using Stazon Jet Black ink on Shimmery White card stock. I also stamped three of the tall flower clusters and two of the medium flower clusters. I cut out all the elements with the coordinating dies from the Garden Gateway Dies. Using the fine tip water painter, I colored the gate with Cinnamon Cider ink and the flowers with Highland Heather, Terracotta Tile, Bumblebee and Granny Apple Green inks.

I cut a panel of Pool Party from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ designer series paper pack with the third largest Stitched Rectangles Dies and adhered it offset to the back of the watercolored background with Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the gate and one of the tall flowers to the panel with Stampin’ Seal and popped another tall flower cluster and the shorter flowers on with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment on a panel of Shimmery White card stock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, trimmed the bottom and adhered it to the panel with Stampin’ Seal. I embossed a panel of Pool Party with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Pool Party card base. I popped the layered watercolor panel on with dimensionals and finished the card with three Terracotta Tile butterflies.

I saved two flower clusters for the inside of the card, so I adhered them to the bottom of a Whisper White panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Grace’s Garden bundle is such a sweet set and is beautiful when watercolored! I haven’t used the watercolor technique in a long time and while it was a bit messier, it was a lot of fun. And I really like the new Stampin’ Up! water painters! I’m already planning which flower stamps to watercolor in the coming weeks!
