Stampin’ Up! Sweet Candy Canes Christmas Card

Good Morning! Here is the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Candy Canes Christmas card that I made during my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon. It’s been a while since I did a video and it was good to get back into the swing of things – my plan is to continue to do this weekly on Sunday afternoons.

This bundle is so festive and fun! It goes well with the Sweetest Christmas designer series paper, you can even use the dies to cut out candy canes from the DSP! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

You can watch my Facebook live from yesterday afternoon HERE. I have also posted it to my YouTube Channel and you can view it HERE.

Use the large striped background die from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Candy Canes bundle to cut a white glimmer paper panel and adhere the die cut stripes to the front of a Sweet Sorbet Card base. Cut a panel of Basic White with the second largest scalloped circle from the Layering Circle dies and a panel of Sweetest Christmas DSP with the second largest stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes dies. Adhere the circles together and adhere them to the center of the card with liquid glue.

Use the Christmas Banners dies to cut a panel of Soft Succulent card stock with the pine sprig die and a panel of Shaded Spruce with the leaf sprig die. Adhere them to the card front with glue dots. Stamp two of the small leaf sprigs from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Candy Canes cling stamp set in Garden Green on Basic White and cut them out with the coordinating die. Adhere them to the card front with glue dots. Stamp the candy cane in Sweet Sorbet on Basic White and cut it out with the coordinating die. Adhere the candy cane to the card front with dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Candy Canes stamp set in Sweet Sorbet on Basic White. Cut it out with the wide banner die from the Stylish Shapes dies and adhere it to the card front with dimensionals and glue dots. Loop a length of white baker’s twine through the top of a Jingle Bell trinket and make a bow. Adhere the jingle bell to the card front with a glue dot. Finish the card with three dots of red pearlized enamel accents and let them dry for about 1 hour so they don’t smudge (I did the inside of the card first and then had a finished card when the dots dried!).

For the inside of the card, stamp the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Candy Canes stamp set in Sweet Sorbet on a Basic White panel. Stamp the little leaf sprig in Garden Green under the sentiment and adhere a strip of Sweetest Christmas DSP to the bottom before adhering it to the inside of the card.

I love candy canes and always put them on my Christmas Tree, so the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Candy Canes is perfect to celebrate the holiday! The sentiments are wonderful for holiday greetings inside and outside your card and when paired with the Christmas Banners bundle and the Sweet Christmas DSP, you have everything you need for a variety of beautiful Christmas cards, tags and favors!

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Candy Canes Christmas Card

Good Morning! Have you seen the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Candy Canes bundle? It’s such a happy and cheerful bundle for Christmas cards, tags and treat packages! I paired it with the Sweetest Christmas designer series paper, which has a sheet of candy canes that you can cut with the candy cane dies! So perfect!! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Sweetest Christmas designer series paper to the front of a Real Red card base with liquid glue. I cut another panel with the 4th largest Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to a Garden Green mat and adhered the layered panel to the card front with liquid glue.

I cut a candy cane from the Sweetest Christmas designer series paper with the coordinating die from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Candy Canes bundle and cut a Basic White panel wit the same die. I adhered them together with liquid glue to make it stiffer. I cut a pair of round leaf sprigs from Garden Green and a pair of fir sprigs from Pear Pizzazz using the dies from the Christmas Banner dies. I used the small branch die to cut a Crumb Cake panel. I adhered the leaf sprigs and small branch to the card with dots of liquid glue and adhered the candy cane with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Candy Canes cling stamp set in Real Red on Basic White. I cut it out with second smallest long Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals and glue dots. I added red rhinestones to the tips of the Crumb Cake small branch.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the round leaf sprig from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Candy Canes stamp set in Garden Green on a Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment in Real Red and adhered a matted strip of DSP to the bottom of the panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I didn’t use the candy cane stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Candy Canes bundle, and I’m so glad that the dies coordinate with large candy canes in the Sweetest Christmas DSP! And there are stamps and dies for candy canes that curve in both directions! The sentiments in this set are simple and perfect for both inside and outside of the card – I’ll be using these a lot!

Some things are great on their own but become epic when they are paired with something else: cereal and milk, toast and butter, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. We may be biased, but our favorite combo is our stamp sets and dies—and that’s what the Perfect Partners promotion is all about!
