Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery Congratulations Card

Good Morning! I love how the designer series papers from the January – April Mini Catalog go so well with the stamps and bundles from the Annual Catalog. Yesterday, I made a cute card with the A Fish & A Wish stamp bundle and the By The Bay DSP and today I’m combining the wonderful Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set with the beautiful Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ designer series paper for another simple card. Both of these have a modern, impressionistic style that works perfect together. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I used the pretty sketch in the Sunday Stamps SSC304 Sketch Time! challenge for inspiration today. Here is the sketch:

I embossed a panel of Soft Sea Foam with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder and used a blending brush to apply Soft Sea Foam ink lightly around the outside. This emphasized the embossed texture and provided a subtle contrast to the card base. I adhered the embossed panel to the front of a Soft Sea Foam card base.

I cut a panel of Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ designer series paper with the 4th largest Stitched Rectangle Die. I adhered the die cut rectangle to a Calypso Coral mat with liquid glue and adhered the layered panel to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink on Petal Pink and cut it out with the large label from the Floral Gallery dies using the two step method so that it would be extend wider than the DSP layer. I adhered it to a Calypso Coral mat and then to the card front with liquid glue. I finished the card front with Pale Papaya opal rounds.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the detailed large flower from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set in Calypso Coral ink on a Basic White panel. I inked up the filler stamp with Petal Pink ink and stamped over the detailed flower – this was the easy way for me to line the two images up. I stamped the large stem and leaves in Sea Foam ink under the flower and stamped another leaf to extend the left leaf. I colored the center with the light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend. I used the same technique to stamp part of another flower on the side of the panel before adhering it to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I really love how the stamped flowers on the inside of the card pick up on the flowers in the Fancy Flora DSP on the card front. And the simple font on the sentiment doesn’t detract from the artistry of the DSP or the stamped flowers. I should note that the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set is great for it’s sentiments!

Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery Birthday Card

Good Monday Morning! Here’s a modern birthday card made with the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery bundle and Abstract Beauty Specialty designer series paper. This is a different style for me, but a lot of fun and I hope you like it. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Abstract Beauty specialty designer series paper to a Basic Black mat and tied a length of black glitter ribbon around it, tying a knot. I adhered the panel to a Smoky Slate card base with dimensionals.

I cut a panel of Blushing Bride with the largest Layering circle die and embossed it with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. I adhered it to a Basic Black die cut scalloped circle.

I cut the word dies from the Floral Beauty Dies in the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery bundle from Gold Foil and adhered them to the embossed circle – don’t forget the dot for the letter ‘j’. I popped the circle on the card front with dimensionals and finished with Blushing Bride hexagon dots.

For the inside of the card, I inked up the large flower from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set with Blushing Bride. I stamped off the solid flower before stamping on the side of a Basic White panel and stamped the detailed flower full strength. I stamped the leaf and stem in Soft Sea Foam and the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Abstract Beauty DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Abstract Beauty DSP is different, but the gold foil touches are beautiful! So I thought that it would go great with the word dies from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery bundle. What do you think?

Stampin’ Up! Gumball Greetings for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! For today card, I used the fun Stampin’ Up! Gumball Greetings bundle to make a shaker birthday card. I used the Gumball Machine shaker dome and filled it with the Frosted beads. I also used the Pattern Party designer series paper for the background. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week – here is the pretty sketch we are using:

I stamped the gumball dome from the Stampin’ Up! Gumball Greetings photopolymer stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on a Basic White panel. I stamped several gumballs in Poppy Parade, Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather, Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight and cut them out with the coordinating die. I adhered them to the stamped gumball dome back with liquid glue and put a pile of frosted beads in the middle. I peeled off the adhesive backing from one of the plastic gumball shaker domes and adhered it to the stamped dome, securing the frosted beads inside.

I cut a panel of Pattern Party designer series paper with the gumball dome die from the Stampin’ Up! Gumball Greetings bundle and pulled the adhesive strip covering off the front of the shaker dome. I adhered the shaker dome to the back of the die cut DSP and then adhered it to a Granny Apple Green mat. I adhered it to the front of a Crushed curry card base with liquid glue. I cut the gumball dome top, base, handle and trim pieces from Poppy Parade. I adhered the trim pieces to the dome top and the base – this gives the gumball machine some nice dimension! I adhered the base to the card front under the dome and the top to the top of the dome. I lifted the gumball opening slightly and adhered a stamped gumball under it with a glue dot.

I cut some silver foil with the coin plate die from the Stampin’ Up! Gumball Greetings bundle and adhered it to the gumball machine base with dimensionals. I cut the spinner from Poppy Parade and popped it on the machine with dimensionals. I finished the spinner with a silver metallic pearl. I stamped the sentiment from the Art Gallery photopolymer stamp set in Poppy Parade on a strip of Crushed Curry and cut it out with the label from the Floral Gallery dies. I adhered it to the card front with dimensionals.

For the inside, I stamped the gumball machine from the Stampin’ Up! Gumball Greetings stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel and colored it with Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink next to the gumball machine and trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Pattern Party DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Gumball Greetings bundle is so much

Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery Thank You Card

Happy Saturday! Today I am sharing a layered Thank You card made with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp bundle and the gorgeous Fine Art Floral designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I used the sketch for the Try Stampin’ On Tuesday Challenge 510. I used the pretty designer series paper instead of making a white on white card and here’s the challenge graphic:

I cut the Golden Garden acetate so that it matches the pattern in the Fine Art Floral designer series paper and I peeled off the protective backing on the acetate and adhered it to the floral DSP with Stampin’ Seal under the Basic White rectangle. I adhered the Pool Party texture paper to a Pool Party mat and then adhered the layered floral paper next to it. I adhered the panel to the front of a Poppy Parade card base.

I cut a Basic White panel with the 4th smallest Stitched Rectangles die and embossed it with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set in Poppy Parade on Basic White and cut it out with the small label die from the Floral Gallery dies. I adhered the label to the back of the embossed rectangle and adhered them both to the card front.

I stamped the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set in Poppy Parade – the solid stamp after stamping off and the detailed stamp full strength on top. I stamped the stem and leaves in Old Olive ink and cut the flower and stem out with the coordinating die. I popped the flower on the card front with dimensionals and adhered the stem with glue dots. I adhered three Gilded Gems around the flower and added a gold trim bow with a glue dot.

For the inside of the card, I adhered the floral DSP to the Pool Party card stock and adhered them both to the side of a Basic White panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery bundle is one of my favorites and I’m glad that it is being carried over into the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. But since it will no longer be available as a bundle, now is the time to get it if you want the 10% bundle savings. Both the Fine Art Floral and the Golden Garden acetate are being retired, and they’re both beautiful, so get them while they’re still available!

Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery Congratulations Card

Happy Friday! I pulled out the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery bundle for a soft, feminine congratulations card to share today. I also added some touches of gold, including the Golden Garden acetate for some fun bling! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of this post along with the sizes of card stock used.

I embossed a Basic White panel with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder and brushed Pool Party ink on it with my blending brush, making a delicate soft blue background. I adhered the panel to the front of a Pool Party card base and adhered a panel of Golden Garden Acetate across the embossed panel. I used Stampin’ Seal in the middle where it Ould be hidden by the main art panel – don’t forget to peel off the acetate protective backing! I adhered a square vellum doily to the top with glue dots.

I stamped the large flower from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery photopolymer stamp set with Blushing Bride ink on Basic White. I stamped the coordinating detailed stamp in Flirty Flamingo on top. I inked up the center of the detailed stamp with Versamark ink and stamped a third time. I tamped the Versamark with a sponge dauber to soften any sharp edges and sprinkled the flower with heat and stick powder and heated it. I sprinkled it with a few gilding flakes and rubbed it in till smooth, giving me a light touch of gold in the flower center. I cut out the flower with the coordinating die and stamped the large stem in Shaded Spruce ink on basic White. I cut the stem out as well.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set in Versamark ink on a strip of Pool Party and sprinkled it with Gold embossing powder. I heat set the powder until it was shiny and cut it out with the long label die. I cut a panel of the Fine Art Floral designer series paper with the Stitched Rectangles die and adhered it to a Pool Party mat. I adhered the label to the bottom of the panel with glue dots and adhered the leaves and stem on top. I popped the flower on with dimensionals and finished with a gold trim double bow on the stem. I adhered the panel to the card front with dimensional and finished it off with three gilded gems for a final touch of gold bling!

For the inside of the card, I the stamped the large flower and stem from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set in Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo and Shaded Spruce in the corners of a Basic White panel. I adhered a strip of Fine Art Floral DSP to the bottom of the panel and adhered it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery bundle is just beautiful! The two step stamps are fairly easy to use for stamping pretty modern flowers that turn out beautiful even when they aren’t perfectly lined up! The simple font in the sentiments are a perfect contrast with the ornate flowers. This was the first time I used the gilding flakes, but it definitely won’t be the last – they add a beautiful touch!

Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery Thinking of You Card

Good Monday Morning! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I was super busy and didn’t get to do my Sunday afternoon Facebook live. But I was able to put together a quick card with the new Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery Bundle. And I tried something new – a slimline card. This was a little different and fun. You can find the supplies at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I was inspired to try the slimline design by the sketch challenge in Freshly Made Sketches 467. I really like the sketch and the slimline cards are so popular, so I thought it was time to give it a try. Here’s the sketch:

I started by adhering the pretty Fine Art Floral designer series paper to a Basic White panel and popping it on the front of a Flirty Flamingo card base with dimensionals. I stamped two of the small flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery photopolymer stamp set in So Saffron on Basic White. I stamped the small highlight stamp over them in Bumblebee ink and cut them out with the coordinating die.

I stamped the large flower in Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade on Basic White using the two large stamps in the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set. I cut it out with the coordinating die. I stamped the stem and leaves in Old Olive on Basic White and cut it out with the coordinating die.

I ran some Stampin’ Seal on the designer series paper where I planned to put the flowers and looped some gold trim around, sticking it to the Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the leaves and small flowers with glue dots and popped the large flower on with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set in Poppy Parade on a strip of Flirty Flamingo and cut it out with the pretty label die. I adhered it to the card front with glue dots and finished the front with three gold glitter enamel gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the So Saffron and Bumblebee flower in the lower corner and added some Old Olive leaves. I adhered a panel of Fine Art Floral DSP to the side and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The pretty Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery bundle and Fine Art Floral designer series paper made it fairly easy to experiment with my first slimline card. I think the next step is to learn how to make an envelope.

Basic White Cardstock Products Now Available

Last month Stampin’ Up! announced that the Whisper White products are being discontinued because the supplier’s mill had to close due to COVID-19 impacts. So they worked on a replacement called Basic White which was thoroughly checked it out with their quality assurance and product teams. They even tested it with some demonstrators and concept artists who gave it the thumbs up. And it’s now available in the Online Store.

Here are the list of Basic White products with links:

  • BASIC WHITE 8-1/2″ X 11″ CARDSTOCK (159276)
  • BASIC WHITE 8-1/2″ X 11″ THICK CARDSTOCK (159229)
  • BASIC WHITE 12″ X 12″ CARDSTOCK (159231)
  • BASIC WHITE MEDIUM ENVELOPES (159236)
  • BASIC WHITE NOTE CARDS & ENVELOPES (159232)
  • BASIC WHITE 3″ X 3″ ENVELOPES (159233)
  • BASIC WHITE ASSORTED MEMORIES & MORE CARDS & ENVELOPES (159234)

I did use Basic White on today’s card rather than Whisper White and I’m pretty happy with the way it stamped and cut.

Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery Sneak Peek for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! For today’s hop, I have another sneak peek of the beautiful new Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery bundle that is coming in the new January – June 2021 Mini Catalog on January 5. I paired the bundle with the pretty Fine Art Floral designer series paper, also coming on January 5, and the Beautiful Friendship photopolymer stamp set. You can find the currently available supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week, and here is the cute sketch we are using for our projects:

I embossed a panel of Gray Granite cardstock with the new Painted Texture 3D embossing folder, available January 5, and adhered it to the front of a Gray Granite card base. I cut two panels of the Gray Granite floral paper from the Fine Art Floral designer series paper and cut them with the third largest Stitched Rectangles die – note that the top layer is cut from the back side. On the back side, I stamped the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery and Beautiful Friendship photopolymer stamp sets in Blushing Bride, Terracotta Tile, Bumblebee and Shaded Spruce ink along the bottom.

I stamped the large flower from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set in Blushing Bride and Terracotta Tile on a Thick Whisper White panel and the leaves and stem in Pretty Peacock ink on Whisper White. I adhered the stem on the stamped panel with liquid glue and popped the flower on with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set in Terracotta Tile ink on So Saffron and cut it out with the small label die from the Floral Gallery dies.

I adhered the panels on the card front with liquid glue and adhered the label with dimensionals and a glue dot over the flowers. I tied a bow with the Fine Art ribbon, available January 5, and adhered it to the stem with a glue dot. I finished the card front with three gold glitter enamel dots.

I stamped the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery and Beautiful Friendship stamp sets in Blushing Bride, Bumblebee, Terracotta Tile and Shaded Spruce on a Whisper White Panel. I adhered the panel to a So Saffron mat and the to the inside of the card.

The flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery Stamp set are so dramatic and go pretty well with the flowers from the Beautiful Friendship stamp set. The two step stamping really lets you be creative and create beautiful flowers, and it’s really nice to have coordinating dies to cut them out. Check out the stamp set in the picture below – see all the different sentiments!

Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery Sneak Peek

Good Morning! Today am sharing a sneak peek of a card that uses the new Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery bundle from the upcoming January – June 2021 Mini Catalog. I use one of the stamps in the set and pair it with the beautiful Fine Art Floral designer series paper and the Golden Garden designer specialty acetate. You can find the currently available supplies I used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a paned of the pretty Fine Art Floral designer series paper to a Whisper White mat. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery photopolymer stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink on a So Saffron strip and cut it out with the die from the Floral Gallery Dies. I adhered it to the pretty acetate panel with Stampin’ Seal.

I stamped the flower bouquet from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set in Mossy Meadow on a Whisper White panel and cut it out with the coordinating die. I stamped it again in So Saffron and cut it out again. I stamped the detail flower in Flirty Flamingo on top of the So Saffron flowers and cut out the flowers with my paper snips. I adhered the So Saffron flowers on top of the Mossy Meadow flowers with liquid glue. I positioned the bouquet on the acetate, and applied Stampin’ Seal to the back of the acetate behind the label and the bouquet. I carefully adhered the acetate to the DSP panel and popped the panel to the front of a So Saffron card base.

I popped the flowers on the card front with dimensionals and brushed some clear wink of Stella on the flowers. I adhered a Whisper White crinkle ribbon bow and three Wonderful Gems to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Many Mates cling stamp set on a Whisper White panel. I inked up the flowers on the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery flower bouquet stamp in So Saffron ink and stamped them in the bottom corner. I inked the leaves in Mossy Meadow and stamped again. I added some Flirty Flamingo with the detailed stamp and used my Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write Marker to touch up the stems. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Fine Art Floral DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I think the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery bundle is definitely one of my favorites from the upcoming January – June 2021 Mini Catalog. The coordinating papers are absolutely beautiful and so much fun to play with.
