Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove bundle is a fun bundle with a wonderful woodsy frame die cut and pretty scenic stamps. I paired it with the pretty Beauty of the Earth designer series paper to make this little wooded scene inspirational card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Pear Pizzazz card stock to the back of a greenery panel of Beauty of the Earth DSP with liquid glue and cut it out with the left side of the wooded frame die cut from the Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove Bundle. I wanted to pop up the die cut frame with dimensionals and needed a double layer to make it stiffer.

I stamped the long ground stamp with shrubs from the Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove cling stamp set in Mossy Meadow on a blue sky panel of the Beauty of the Earth DSP. I sponged Cinnamon Cider ink on the ground with a sponge dauber, and it nicely covered the blue sky, so my ground looked realistic. I stamped the deer in Crumb Cake on Basic White and fussy cut it out. There is a die that works nicely, but I didn’t want the white edge for such a small focal piece. I adhered the deer to the stamped panel with liquid glue and adhered the die cut wooded frame with dimensionals. I adhered the layered panel to an Early Espresso mat.

I adhered a strip of wood grained Beauty of the Earth DSP to the front of a Crumb Cake card base and adhered the little scene with liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove stamp set in Mossy Meadow on Pear Pizzazz and cut it out with the Messages die. I adhered the label to the frame with glue dots and finished the card front with adhesive pebbles.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the trees from the Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove stamp set in Mossy Meadow on a Basic White panel. I trimmed the bottom of the panel with a strip of wood grained Beauty of the Earth DSP and adhered it to the inside of the card.

The wooded frame die from the Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove bundle is so neat! But the other scenic stamps are also pretty and the sentiments are sweet. And it goes beautifully with the Beauty of the Earth DSP! The different prints give your project texture and interest and are perfect for the natural woods theme of the bundle!

Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder Birthday Card

Happy Saturday! I love stamp sets that depict wild animals and the Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder is a great one! I used the wonderful wild bear in today’s card with the gorgeous Beauty of the Earth designer series paper for a simple layered masculine birthday card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started by stamping the birthday sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder cling stamp set in Early Espresso on a panel of the Beauty of the Earth designer series paper and adhering the panel to the front of a Soft Suede card base with liquid glue.

I embossed a panel of Mossy Meadow with the Bark 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the card front. I stamped the bear from the Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder stamp set in Cinnamon Cider on a Sahara Sand panel to make a brown bear. I stamped the ground stamp in Mossy Meadow under the bear.

I adhered the bear panel to a Soft Suede mat and adhered the layered panel to the card front with dimensionals. I finished off the card with some Pebbles enamel shapes on the ground.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder stamp set in Early Espresso on a Basic White panel and stamped the cool owl in Cinnamon Cider next to it. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I didn’t use the wolf image from the Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder stamp set in today’s card, but that is another wonderful one that I will use next time. This stamp set can easily coordinate with lots of designer series papers for a great outdoors card and is wonderful with many woodsy stamped or die cut backgrounds. It’s a must have for masculine cards, especially for guys who love the outdoors!

Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration Cards

Good Morning! Last weekend we had our Inkin Krew Quarterly Team meeting and made some cards designed by our teammates Rosy Kean, Karen Ksenzakovic and Jillian Good. They used the Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration bundle along with other products from the beautiful Waves of the Ocean collection. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Rosie presented a beautiful gatefold card covered with the beautiful Waves of the Ocean designer series paper on the inside and outside panels. The gorgeous wave was stamped and topped with a foil die cut before being fussy cut. The wave goes across the card front and contrasts with the soft stamped sentiment and pelican on the inside stamped in Smoky Slate.

Karen presented an awesome bridge fold card with the beautiful wave from the Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration bundle going across the front and the Waves of the Ocean DSP on the side panels. The blue foil die cut wave is adhered to another panel of the DSP and fussy cut while there’s another wave stamped on the back panel with the pelican and sentiment. Isn’t the layered die cut cloud cute, and I love that pelican!

Jillian presented this beautiful card with the background embossed with the Seashells 3D embossing folder and the triple panel of Waves of the Ocean DSP on the silver foil. The beautiful die cut labels are perfect for wrapping with ribbon, and the Blushing Bride ribbon is a sweet contrast with the bold blues in the DSP.

It was fun to get together and play with this gorgeous suite of products and it was great to do the fun fold cards! The foil waves are gorgeous, whether over the stamped image or the DSP and using the adhesive sheets before cutting is a must.

The Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration bundle is an early release from the upcoming 2022 – 2023 Annual catalog. And the bundle is wonderful with the other items in this beautiful collection!

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips Card

Good Morning! Today I have a simple card made with the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips bundle and the pretty Flowering Fields designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Flowering Fields designer series paper to a Soft Succulent mat and wrapped lengths of white and Soft Succulent ribbon over the top, adhering them with Stampin’ Seal on the front and securing them with scotch tape in the back. I adhered the panel to the front of a So Saffron card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips photopolymer stamp set in Soft Succulent ink on a So Saffron panel. I cut it out with a die from the Tasteful Labels dies and secured it to the front with dimensionals, being careful to adhere them to the DSP.

I finished the card front with three Soft Succulent jewels adhered to the label.

I stamped the tulip from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set in Mango Melody on a Basic White panel. I stamped the accent tulip in stamped off Mango Melody for lighter highlights and stamped the stem and leaves in Soft Succulent. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Flowering Fields DSP is so beautiful and Springy! I love this sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set, because it is so optimistic and perfect for Spring’s new beginnings!

Join me for a Facebook Live this Afternoon!

I’m planning to go live on my Facebook Page at 1:00 ET this afternoon to make a card with the Daffodil Daydream bundle. Look forward to seeing you then!

Stampin’ Up! Seascape Card with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! I used the pretty seahorse from the Sea Life Dies in the Stampin’ Up! Seascape bundle with the gorgeous Waves of the Ocean designer series paper for an encouragement and friendship card for my Facetime Live yesterday afternoon and the results were amazing! You can find the supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the video of my Facebook Live from yesterday afternoon. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here if you prefer.

My design was inspired by the sketch challenge in Freshly Made Sketches #525. Here’s the pretty card sketch:

I adhered a panel of Waves of the Ocean designer series paper to a panel of Coastal Cabana Foil with liquid glue. I adhered the layered panel to the front of a Pool Party card base. I cut a Granny Apple Green Waves of the Ocean paper with the Seaweed die from the Smooth Sailing dies and adhered it to the bottom of the DSP panel.

I cut a Calypso Coral Waves of the Ocean DSP panel with the coral die from the Stampin’ Up! Seascape bundle and curved some of the cuts up before adhering it to the card. I cut a panel of Pool Party Shimmer paper with the Seahorse die from the Stampin’ Up! Seascape bundle and adhered it to the card front with cut up pieces of dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Encircled in Friendship cling stamp set in Pacific Point ink on a Pool Party panel and cut it out with the Tasteful Labels die. I frayed some White ribbon and adhered it to the back with a length of Pool Party ribbon. I adhered the label and ribbons to the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card with Night of Navy and Coastal Cabana rhinestones.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the seaweed from the Stampin’ Up! Seascape cling stamp set in Granny Apple Green on a Basic White panel. I stamped the coral in Calypso coral and the sentiment in Pacific Point. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Waves of the Ocean DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Waves of the Ocean designer series paper is beautiful and versatile enough to be used for different ocean themed dies like I did for this card. The swirls of color add depth and texture to the die cuts, like they do for any underwater or ocean background. The Stampin’ Up! Seascape bundle is just one of the many beautiful stamp sets and bundles that go well with this DSP. And it’s wonderful that it’s on sale this month with the Savings are in Bloom promotion!

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I’m using one of my all time favorite bundles for today’s card – the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers bundle! It’s great that this bundle has been brought back for the Savings In Bloom! sale this month and I paired it with the exclusive Waves of the Ocean designer series paper for a card perfect for today. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a Sketch Challenge this week and here’s the fun sketch we are using:

I embossed a Pacific Point panel with the Hive 3D embossing folder and trimmed it to 4″ x 5-1/4″ (note that this is a folder that will shrink, so I cut the panel to size after embossing). I adhered the embossed panel to the front of a Pacific Point card base with liquid glue.

I adhered the pretty foil and DSP strips to the card front with liquid glue. I cut the Daffodil Delight panels with the solid and detailed large sunflower dies from the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers bundle. I cut a panel of Waves of the Ocean DSP with the solid sunflower die and adhered it to the Daffodil Delight die cut. I cut the daffodil center from the Waves of the Ocean DSP and adhered it to the center before adhering the detailed die cut on top with dimensionals.

I decorated the center of the daffodil with iridescent gemstones and adhered the flower to the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card with a little bumblebee trinket.

For the inside, I stamped the large sunflower from the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set in Daffodil Delight ink in the corners of a Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment in Pacific Point and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers bundle is so beautiful and goes well with the Waves of the Ocean designer series paper. And it’s perfect for today!

Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug Smile Card

Happy Friday! Last weekend I used the Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug bundle to make a fun fold card for my Facebook Live and I’m using it again for a friendship and encouragement card for today. The ladybug is so cute and the other stamps in the photopolymer stamp set give you lots of options for your card designs. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started cutting out a panel of Basic White with the second largest Scalloped Contours die and adhering a panel of the pretty Sale-A-Bration Sunshine and Rainbows designer series paper to it with liquid glue. I adhered the panel to the front of a Pool Party card base. I stamped the large leaf from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug stamp set in Granny Apple Green on a Basic White panel and fussy cut it out with my paper snips. I adhered it to the card front.

I stamped 3 large flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug stamp set in Daffodil Delight on Basic White and punched them out with the Medium Daisy Punch. I adhered them together with liquid glue and added an iridescent gemstone to the center before adhering them to the card front with a dimensional. I punched the ladybug body from Pattern Party DSP and Basic Black card stock and adhered them together. I stamped the wings in Real Red, punched them out with the Butterfly Builder punch and adhered them to the butterfly body. I added black matte dots to the wings and adhered the ladybug to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Daisy Lane stamp set in Real Red on Basic White and cut it out with the Tasteful Labels die. I adhered the label to the card front with liquid glue, tucking it under the leaf. I finished the card with a black and white twine bow.

I stamped the small bunch of flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug stamp set in Daffodil Delight ink in the corners of a Basic White panel and the sweet sentiment from the Daisy Lane stamp set in Real Red. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Sunshine and Rainbows DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug bundle is so cute and versatile. It’s perfect for many occasions, so be sure to check it out! Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Stampin’ Up! Notes of Cheer Card Kit

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Notes of Cheer card kit is one of the kits in the Stampin’ Up! Kits Collection and it’s one that doesn’t require any stamping! It’s perfect for when you’re short on time or for beginning card makers. I made some of the cards in the kit with my grandchildren and it was fun. Here’s the video by Stampin’ Up! featuring Stampin’ Up! CEO Sara Douglass showing how to put together each card according to the directions.

And the Stampin’ Up! Kits Collection just added a new kit to make Birthday cards called Light the Candles!

This kit is a stamping kit and it comes with a cute photopolymer stamp set and Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Spot. Check it out:

  • Kit contains enough supplies to create 8 cards—4 each of 2 designs—and 8 coordinating envelopes.
  • Includes printed card bases, printed die cuts, adhesive, embellishments, and a clear block.

Stampin’ Up! Awesome Otters Sneak Peek for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! For today card, I have a sneak peek of a cute little Sale-A-Bration cling stamp set that will be available on January 4, 2022 called Awesome Otters. And there’s also a cute 6″ x 6″ designer series paper pack that will also be available during Sale-A-Bration with pretty monochrome swirls called Simply Marbleous. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch this week for our Blog Hop – here is the pretty sketch we are using:

I adhered a panel of dotted Pattern Play designer series paper to a Basic White panel and then adhered them both to the front of a Pool Party card base. I stamped the otter from the Stampin’ Up! Awesome Otters stamp set on a panel of pool party Sale-A-Bration Simply Marbleous 6″ x 6″ designer series paper in Early Espresso ink and cut it out with the Layering Circles die. I cut a scalloped circle and adhered the stamped circle on top with liquid glue.

I stamped the Stampin’ Up! Awesome Otters otter stamp again in Early Espresso on a panel of Basic White. I colored it with Crumb Cake and Ivory Stampin’ Blends and colored the fish with Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend. I fussy cut the fish and adhered it to the die cut circle with dimensionals. I adhered the layered circle to the card front with dimensionals, leaving room for the label.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Awesome Otters stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a Pool Party panel and cut it out with the Stitched So Sweetly die. I adhered it to the card front with glue dots, tucking it under the otter. I finished the card front with three Pool Party rhinestones.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the little otter from the Stampin’ Up! Awesome Otters stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a Basic White panel and colored it with Crumb Cake and Ivory Stampin’ Blends. I used the Pool Party Stampin’ Blends to color the water and adhered a strip of Simply Marbleous 6″ x 6″ DSP to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Both the Stampin’ Up! Awesome Otters cling stamp set and the Simply Marbleous 6″ x 6″ designer series paper will be available as FREE Sale-A-Bration items with $50 purchases (before shipping and taxes) beginning January 4, 2021. Here’s a picture of the stamp set and the DSP with today’s card:

Don’t you love those colorful swirls?

Stampin’ Up! Blessings Of Home Sneak Peek

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Annual Convention was held virtually last weekend, and it was so much fun! I learned so much and we made three beautiful projects with a new bundle from the upcoming January-June 2021 Mini Catalog – the Stampin’ Up! Blessings Of Home bundle. I did make some minor changes to the original designs, but it was so much fun to make the cards, each with different techniques! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

For the first card, I used the pretty Heart & Home designer series paper as the background – I matted it with Basic White and stamped the pretty floral Bouquet from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home in Misty Moonlight on Shimmery White paper. I used sponge daubers to add Misty Moonlight and Garden Green to some of the flowers and leaves and cut it out with the coordinating die. I adhered the image to the DSP and wrapped it with denim ribbon and adhered it to the front of a Garden Green card base. Then I stamped the label in Misty Moonlight and cut it out with a stitched rectangle die and adhered it to the card with dimensionals. I finished it off with a denim ribbon bow and pearls.

For the second card, I stamped the posy image from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home stamp set in Cinnamon Cider on the front of a Cinnamon Cider note card base. I adhered a panel of Heart & Home DSP to the front and stamped the image in Cinnamon Cider on Shimmery White. I used a water painter to color the flower petals lightly with Cinnamon Cider ink and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I cut some of the flowers and stems from the Flowers of Home dies in Fresh Freesia, cinnamon Cider and Garden green and adhered them to the card front. I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight on Shimmery White and adhered a folded denim ribbon to the back before popping it on the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card with Genial Gems.

For the third card, I embossed a panel of Fresh Freesia with the Timber 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Fresh Freesia Card base. I adhered a panel of Hearth & Home DSP to a Garden Green mat and popped it on the card front with dimensionals. I colored a vellum doily with Fresh Freesia ink using a blending brush and adhered it with liquid glue. I cut some Cinnamon Cider with the Flowers of Home dies and adhered them to the card with liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home stamp set in Cinnamon Cider ink on Hearth & Home DSP, cut it out with a stitched rectangle die and adhered it to a Garden Green mat and then to the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card with more Fresh Freesia die cut flowers and Champagne rhinestones.

The Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home bundle is really beautiful and has wonderful sentiments. The Hearth & Home designer series paper has a beautiful Shabby Chic look with beautiful gray wood grain on the flip side of the soft florals. Here are pictures of the stamp set, dies and designer series paper. Remember, these items will be available on January 4, 2022 when the new January – June 2022 Mini Catalog goes live!
