Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I used the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas cling stamp set along with the Toile Tidings designer series paper to make a nostalgic Christmas Card. Here is my card:

We have a sketch challenge this week, and here is the sketch we are using:

I used the second largest circle in the Layering Circles dies to cut a circle in a panel of Garden Green card stock and then ran it through the Subtle embossing folder. I used the largest scalloped circle in the Layering Circles dies to cut a scalloped circle from Real Red card stock. I cut a circle in the middle of the scalloped circle with the second largest circle die to create a scalloped frame. I adhered the frame to the embossed panel with liquid glue. I added a strip of the striped Toile Tidings DSP to the card front and added a length of the Garden Green ribbon on top, securing it on the back.

I stamped the double banner sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas in Garden Green on a panel of Very Vanilla and cut it out with the coordinating die. I adhered it to the panel with dimensionals. I tied another strip of the ribbon in a knot and adhered it to the panel with glue dots.

I cut a circle of the countryside Toile Tidings DSP with the largest circle of the Layering circles dies and attached it to a Thick Very Vanilla Card base with liquid glue. I was careful to select a portion that had an interesting scene, such as this with the children playing in front of the barn. I then adhered the embossed Garden Green panel to the card base with dimensionals, so that the little scene would show through behind the frame. I finished off the card front with 3 red glitter enamel dots.

On the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas stamp set using Garden Green ink on a panel of Very Vanilla. I added a strip of the countryside Toile Tidings DSP to the bottom of the panel and stamped the flourish in Real Red ink under the sentiment. I added a Garden Green mat and adhered it to the inside of the card. I adhered a panel of the countryside Toile Tidings DSP to the flap of a Very Vanilla medium envelope with liquid glue and trimmed it with paper snips.

The nostalgic images of the countryside Toile Tidings DSP bring back memories of winter fun and Christmases past. They are sure to make this Christmas Merry and Bright!

Stampin’ Up! Frosted Foliage Seasons Greetings Card

Good Morning! Today I have a blue Seasons Greetings card made with the Stampin’ Up! Frosted Foliage stamp bundle. This beautiful set celebrates frosty cold nature in wintertime with leaves and snowflakes. The dies include a rectangular frame which can be decorated with other die cut elements. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started by stamping the scattered snowflakes from the Stampin’ Up! Frosted Foliage stamp set in Delicata Silvery Shimmer ink on a Night of Navy card base. I cut the Frosted Frames large fancy frame die from a panel of Seaside Spray and the small stitched frame die from a panel of the Feels Like Frost designer series paper. I adhered the small stitched frame to the larger Seaside Spray frame with liquid glue.

I used the Frosted Frames dies to decorate the frame. I cut two of the leaf sprays from vellum card stock and one from Seaside Spray. I cut two of the star pairs from Sparkle Glimmer paper. I cut two of the small sprays from silver foil. I arranged the die cuts around the frame on the front and the back and adhered them with liquid glue. I adhered the decorated frame to the card front with dimensionals and finished off the snowflakes with pearl gems.

I stamped the Seasons Greetings stamp from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set in Versamark Ink on a strip of Seaside Spray. I sprinkled it with silver embossing powder and heat set. I stamped the snowflakes from the Stampin’ Up! Frosted Foliage stamp set in Delicata Silvery Shimmer ink on the embossed label and trimmed the ends. I adhered it to the card front with liquid glue and decorated it with a Seaside Spray silvery bow.

I decorated the inside by stamping the snowflakes again in Delicata Silvery Shimmer ink and the sentiment in Night of Navy ink on a Whisper White panel. I adhered the panel to a Seaside spray mat and then to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Frosted Foliage bundle is a great set to celebrate the natural beauty of winter for any winter celebration. This is the first time I’ve used this beautiful stamp bundle. I hope you like it and break it out if you have the set in your stash too!

Stampin’ Up! First Frost Christmas Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I used the beautiful Stampin’ Up! First Frost cling stamp set for my card today. Here is my card:

We have a color challenge this week, and here is the color palette we are using:

I started with a Cherry Cobbler card base and adhered a Crumb Cake panel that was run through the Tin Tile embossing folder on top. Then I cut and embossed an oval frame from the Heirloom Frames dies in Early Espresso. I sponged some shimmery white paint on the carved part of the frame, but unfortunately, the shimmer doesn’t show very well in the pictures – in real life it has a silvery glow.

I cut a panel of very vanilla with the largest oval from the Layering Ovals dies. I stamped the long flourish stamp from the Woven Heirlooms stamp set several times across the oval with Crumb Cake ink stamped off twice. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! First Frost stamp set in the upper right corner of the oval with Cherry Cobbler ink. I adhered the oval to the card base with liquid glue and the frame on top of it with dimensionals.

I stamped two large roses and two small roses from the Stampin’ Up! First Frost stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on Whisper White and cut them out with the matching dies from the Frosted Bouquet dies. I stamped three of the long stems from the First Frost stamp set in Pear Pizzazz ink on Whisper White and cut them out with the matching die. I cut the bottoms off of two of them to shorten them. I die cut three of the leaf clusters from the Frosted Bouquet dies in Mossy Meadow and cut them in half. Finally I cut three of the sprigs from the Frosted Frames dies from gold foil.

I arranged a top and bottom halves of one of the Mossy Meadow leaves for the inside of the frame and attached them with liquid glue, tucking them under the frame. I added two of the gold foil sprigs. I arranged the Pear Pizzazz long stems and attached them with glue dots. I tucked two of the Mossy tops under the outside of the frame, adhering them with glue dots. I adhered the last gold sprig with liquid glue and the three roses with glue dots. I made a bow with linen thread (I used Mary Deatherages’s beautiful design – Thank you Mary!) and adhered it with a glue dot. I finished the card front with three Cherry Cobbler rhinestones.

I decorated the inside of the card by stamping a Very Vanilla panel with the Merry Christmas greeting from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set in Cherry Cobbler. I stamped another stem in Pear Pizzazz on the left side and the long flourish across the bottom in Crumb Cake (after stamping off twice). I added the final large die cut rose from the Stampin’ Up! First Frost stamp set with liquid glue and adhered it to a Crumb Cake mat before adding it to the inside of the card.

The First Frost stamp set and dies are so beautiful and I love every card that I’ve made with them. And this is the first time I’ve used the Woven Heirlooms bundle and it is definitely a favorite. I hope you like this card and that it inspires you to work on your own Christmas cards. We’ll need to send them out before you know it.

Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid White and Gold Christmas Card for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to the November Inkin’ Krew Monthly Blog Hop!

Our team is doing a Blog Hop with the theme “Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays” and I am making a Christmas card with the Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid Stamp photopolymer bundle. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started with the trees. I punched two from Gold Foil card stock, one from Gold Glimmer card stock and one from Sparkle Glimmer card stock. I took one foil tree and embossed it with the Stylish Scrolls embossing folder. The last three trees were stamped and gold embossed on shimmery white paper before being punched. I used the tree stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid stamp set, the diagonal stripes from the Tiny Keepsakes stamp set and the star field from the So Many Stars stamp set. For all of these, I used my embossing buddy on the shimmery white card stock, stamped with Versamark ink, sprinkled with gold embossing powder and heat set. I then punched out the trees. Then I punched out 7 additional trees from Whisper White and adhered them to the back of the trees to add stiffness.

I took a panel of Thick Whisper White and embossed it with the Subtle embossing folder. I die cut two of the edge dies from the Christmas Rose dies from gold foil and adhered them to the back of the embossed panel on the bottom. I adhered a piece of the gold shimmer ribbon just above the edge with snail and wrapped it around, securing it in the back. I arranged the trees on the panel, adhering the ones in the back with liquid glue and popped the ones in the front with dimensionals. I then adhered the panel to a Thick Whisper White card base with dimensionals. Then I decorated the trees as shown with pearls, gold glitter enamel dots and gold metallic pearls.

I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set with Versamark ink on a strip of Whisper White. I sprinkled it with embossing powder and heat set. I then curled it with my bone folder to give it some movement and adhered it to the card base with glue dots. I finished the banner with two gold metallic pearls.

I decorated the inside by embossing the sentiment and tree from the Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid stamp set in gold on a Whisper White panel. I adhered it to a gold foil mat and then to the inside of the card.

I love the Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid stamp set with the Pine Tree punch and wanted to try making an elegant sparkly Christmas card with it. I hope you like it.

Stampin’ Up! Night Before Christmas Card

Good Morning! I got really busy last weekend so I missed my Tuesday post and so I’m making up for it by bringing you a card today! I’m using the Stampin’ Up! Night Before Christmas Memories and More Cards and Envelopes with the Stampin’ Up! Night Before Christmas Designer Series Paper stack to make my card. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

The Stampin’ Up! Night Before Christmas Memories and More Cards and Envelopes are larger than your standard A2 sized cards at 6 1/4″ x 4 1/4″. You have a Cherry Cobbler background card with a frame of Very Vanilla stars. The envelopes are very vanilla with Poppy Parade and Cherry Cobbler diagonal stripes around the edges. You can easily use cards from the Night Before Christmas Memories and More card pack to make quick cards with them because they are perfectly sized to accent the larger card size in addition to being used for memory keeping! But I used the Stampin’ Up! Night Before Christmas DSP to build my card and I think it’s a good alternative.

I fussy cut a tree from the tree paper in the Stampin’ Up! Night Before Christmas DSP and adhered it to a panel of the diagonal checked paper. I adhered the checked panel to a Very Vanilla mat. I stamped the Joy sentiment from the So Many Stars stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on Very Vanilla card stock and cut it out with one of the stitched rectangle dies before I adhered it to the checked paper.

I fussy cut presents from the present paper and adhered them to the bottom of the checked panel, using dimensionals on some so they would stick out. I adhered it to the middle of the card and finished it off with some holiday rhinestones.

I attached a polka dot panel of the Stampin’ Up! Night Before Christmas DSP to the inside of the card with liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on a panel of Whisper White. I added a few more fussy cut presents and adhered it to the polka dot panel on the inside of the card.

This is a simple cute card that looks special because of the popped up presents and rhinestones. The Stampin’ Up! Night Before Christmas suite is full of retro images that bring back childhood memories of Christmas.
