Stampin’ Up! Cactus Cuties Hello Card with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! I pulled out the sweet Stampin’ Up! Cactus Cuties bundle this weekend and had so much fun playing with this wonderful bundle! I made two different sample cards using the same sketch as the card I made for my Facetime Live yesterday afternoon, but used different color palettes and cactus designs. This is such a versatile set!! You can find the supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the video of my Facebook Live from yesterday afternoon. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here if you prefer.

I adhered a panel of Artfully Composed designer series paper to a Soft Suede mat and adhered it to the front of a Mint Macaron card base. I cut a Basic White panel with the 4th smallest Stitched Rectangle die and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Cactus Cuties stamp set in Cinnamon Cider ink. I adhered it to a Soft Suede mat and began building my cactus panel.

I stamped the cactus pot from the Stampin’ Up! Cactus Cuties photopolymer stamp set in Cinnamon Cider ink on Basic White and cut it out with the Cactus Builder Punch. I stamped the spiky cactus in Mint Macaron twice on Basic White and fussy cut the leaves. I used the pansy bud stem die from the Pansy Dies to cut two stems from Mint Macaron and trimmed off the buds with my paper snips. I stamped two flowers in Polished Pink and punched them out with the Cactus Builder punch. I adhered the pot to the bottom of the die cut panel with dimensionals and tucked in two of the leaves adhered with liquid glue. I adhered the die cut stems with the Fine-Tipped glue (as usual I forgot to apply my adhesive strip before die cutting – this would have been a perfect time to use them) and adhered the rest of the leaves on top. I adhered the flowers to the stem tips with liquid glue and adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals. I finished this card with a gold bumblebee and linen thread bow.

This was my Bumblebee sample card where my DSP strip is from the Sale-A-Bration Daffodil Afternoon pack. The cactus from the Stampin’ Up! Cactus Cuties is stamped in Old Olive and the flowers in Bumblebee. The pieces are all punched except for the middle ear, which is fussy cut. The pot is Cinnamon Cider and the piece is finished with a knotted length of Linen Thread. The mats are done in Old Olive along with the sentiment.

My Pool Party sample uses the In The Wild DSP and the cactus is stamped in Evening Evergreen and fussy cut. The pot is also fussy cut and stamped in Sahara Sand, but the flowers are stamped in Cajun Craze and punched. Since the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Cactus Cuties is a little longer, I stamped it in Cajun Craze on Sahara Sand and cut it out with the Tasteful Textile die. The art panel is die cut from Pool Party and the mats are Soft Suede.

For the inside of the card, I stamped a little vignette in the corner of a Basic White panel that used the same Stampin’ Up! Cactus Cuties stamps and colors as the card front. I trimmed the bottom of the panel in the same DSP as the front and adhered the panels to the inside of the cards with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Cactus Cuties bundle is a wonderful little set and would be perfect for cactus themed note cards or tags as well as cards. I love how versatile the designs are and I love the way the Cactus Builder punch coordinates with the stamps to punch without the white outline! Have fun with this set!

Stampin’ Up! Artfully Layered Hugs Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! I have been having a lot of fun with the Stampin’ Up! Artfully Layered bundle, exploring new designs and techniques. I CASEd this card from the January – June Mini Catalog during my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon and really enjoyed all the different techniques that it used. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the video of my Facebook Live from yesterday afternoon. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here if you prefer.

I stamped a panel of Artfully Composed designer series paper with the leaf stamps of the Stampin’ Up! Artfully Layered cling stamp set. I stamped the outline leaves in Evening Evergreen over the Old Olive leaves and in Old Olive ink over the Just Jade leaves. I stamped the long leaves in Mint Macaron ink in the Just Jade and Evening Evergreen leaves and then adhered the panel to the front of a Just Jade card base with liquid glue.

I cut adhered a strip of Layering Designs vellum to the front and cut a strip of Calypso Coral cut with the stitched pinked die and adhered it below the vellum. I die cut a strip of Evening Evergreen with the texture die three times and ran the strip through the die cutting machine without the die to flatten the last cut before adhering it to the card front. I stamped a bumblebee strip with the printed script stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Artfully Layered stamp set in Bumblebee ink and adhered it on top of the Evening Evergreen strip. Finally, I adhered a length of white frayed ribbon on top of the layered strips with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Artfully Layered stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the outline leaf in twice stamped off Mint Macaron ink over the sentiment and stamped the script in Bumblebee. I cut it out with the outline leaf die. I cut a Mint Macaron panel with the detailed leaf die and adhered it to the back of the leaf label before adhering the layered label to the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card with a linen thread bow and Faux Sea Glass shapes.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the script stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Artfully Layered stamp set in Bumblebee and adhered another detailed leaf die cut over it. I stamped another strip of the Artfully Composed DSP to match the card front background and adhered it to the bottom. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Artfully Layered bundle is perfect for exploring different stamping techniques and artistic designs and styles. And I loved CASEing this card from the catalog. There is so much inspiration in the catalog and so many examples of the different things you can do with this bundle especially. So feel free to step out of your comfort zone and try something new. Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug Video Tutorial

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug bundle is so adorable. With the bold, graphic ladybug stamps and coordinating Ladybug Builder Punch, it is so easy to make a bunch of cute little bugs to decorate cards and tags. I made this cute little fun fold card during my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the video of my Facebook Live from yesterday afternoon. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here if you prefer.

I a panel of pretty multicolor Flowering Fields designer series paper to a So Saffron panel. I adhered another Mango Melody Flowering Fields Panel to the front of my mini card. I adhered my mini card to the DSP panel with Tear & Tape adhesive. I stamped the leaf from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug photopolymer stamp set in Pear Pizzazz on Basic White and fussy cut it with a small white border. I adhered the leaf to the mini card front with liquid glue.

I stamped the large flower from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug stamp set three times in Highland Heather ink and cut them out with the Medium Daisy Punch. I curved the petals and adhered the clusters together with liquid glue and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals, finishing the center with an iridescent rhinestone. I stamped two ladybug wings with Poppy Parade ink on Basic White and punched them out with the Ladybug Builder Punch. I punched out two ladybug bodies from Pattern Party DSP and Basic Black card stock. I inked the edges of the Pattern Party bodies with my black Stamp & Write marker and adhered them to the Basic Black cardstock bodies. I adhered the wings with liquid glue and adhered Black Matte Dots to the wing spots.

I adhered the ladybugs to the card front with dimensionals, letting them hang over the sides of the mini card. I stamped the hello sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug stamp set in Poppy Parade on Basic White and trimmed it with my paper snips. I adhered the label to the card front on top of the leaf.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug stamp set in Poppy Parade on a basic White panel. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Flowering Fields DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug bundle is the cutest! You can punch out the ladybug from colored card stock, stamped card stock and designer series paper for a wide range of styles. The bold stamps compliment the punched bugs and the sentiments are perfect for expressions of friendship, support and good wishes.

Stampin’ Up! Amazing Silhouettes Thank You Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! It’s been a while since I’ve done a video tutorial, so this is a bit rough. But I used the pretty Stampin’ Up! Amazing Silhouettes bundle to make a simple thank you card in cheery Granny Apple Green. I love the layered word dies that come in the bundle and I paired it with the pretty Sale-A-Bration Friendly Hello designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the video of my Facebook Live from yesterday afternoon. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here if you prefer.

I adhered a panel of the pretty Granny Apple Green Friendly Hello designer series paper to the front of a Granny Apple Green card base. I stamped the tree from the Stampin’ Up! Amazing Silhouettes cling stamp set in Granny Apple Green on a Basic White panel. I embossed the panel with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to a Granny Apple Green mat.

I used the thanks word dies from the Stampin’ Up! Amazing Silhouettes bundle to cut Granny Apple Green and Basic White panels. I adhered them together with liquid glue and adhered them to the stamped and embossed panel.

I used dimensionals to adhere the tree and die cut word to the card front and finished it with three Elegant Faceted gems to add sparkle.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the leaf cluster from the Sale-A-Bration Friendly Hello stamp set in Granny Apple Green in the corner of a Basic White panel. I adhered a strip of Friendly Hello DSP to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card. And then I finished the envelope by stamping the tree silhouette on the side of the envelope!

I love the Stampin’ Up! Amazing Silhouettes bundle! As you can see, it’s pretty easy to make simple yet impressive cards with it!

Stampin’ Up! Inspired Thoughts Christmas Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! I used the Stampin’ Up! Inspired Thoughts stamp set with the Christmas Trees dies and elegant Peaceful Place specialty designer series paper to make a CAS (clean and simple) Christmas card in grays and white with silver foil. I did this during my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

My card was also inspired by the layout in Freshly Made Sketches #510:

Here is the video of my Facebook Live from yesterday afternoon. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here if you prefer.

I adhered a panel of the pretty Peaceful Place specialty designer series paper on a Thick Basic White card base. I adhered another panel of the DSP, with Smoky Slate diamonds on top.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Inspired Thoughts cling stamp set in Versamark ink on a vellum cardstock panel. I sprinkled it with silver embossing powder and shook off the excess. I heat set the powder with my heat tool until it was shiny and cut it out with the third largest Layering Circle die.

I put some adhesive sheets on the back of silver foil panels and cut out two trees using the Christmas Trees dies. I peeled off the adhesive sheets and adhered the trees to the vellum die cut circle. I adhered the die cut circle to the card front with glue dots placed behind the trees and in places where I would add some enamel shapes. I adhered three clear enamel diamond shapes over the glue dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Inspired Thoughts stamp set in Smoky Slate ink on the inside of the card base. I cut out another tree from the Peaceful Place specialty DSP and adhered it next to the sentiment.

The Peaceful Place specialty DSP is so elegant and perfect for Christmas cards. I love the contrast of the shiny silver foil with the matte vellum and the simple font in the Stampin’ Up! Inspired Thoughts stamp set is perfect with the modern, clean elegance of this design.

Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned Petals Video Tutorial

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned Petals bundle is one of the prettiest floral stamp sets in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog, especially paired with the Hand Penned designer series paper. But with the cooler weather coming on, I was hesitant to play with it, thinking it was too Springy. Then I realized that the paper with the Cinnamon Cider flowers really had an Autumn feel, so I decided to try making a Fall Thank You card with this pretty set. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

My card was also inspired by the great sketch in Inspire.Create.Challenge #102:

Here is the video of my Facebook Live from yesterday afternoon. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here if you prefer.

I adhered a panel of the Cinnamon Cider Hand Penned designer series paper to a Basic Black mat with liquid glue and then adhered the layered panel to the front of a Cinnamon Cider card base. I cut a circle from Basic White with the largest Layering Circles die and a scalloped circle from Cinnamon cider using the largest scalloped circle die. I adhered these together and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue.

I stamped the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned Petals photopolymer stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White. I colored the flowers with Stampin’ Blends – dark Daffodil Delight, light Balmy Blue, dark Mint Macaron and I blended light Pumpkin Pie and light Cinnamon Cider on the large flower. I cut out the flower with the coordinating die and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals.

I punched the end of the Cinnamon Cider label with the Banners Pick A Punch and stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black. I adhered the label to the card front with dimensionals and glue dots. I finished the card front with champagne rhinestones.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flower stems from the Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned Petals stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on a Basic White panel. I stamped the flower head in Cinnamon Cider after stamping off twice and the leaves in Mint Macaron after stamping off once. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Hand Penned DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I It’s nice to have floral Thank You cards for fall and the Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned Petals makes the prettiest!

Stampin’ Up! Frosted Gingerbread Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Yesterday I posted a card made with the Stampin’ Up! Frosted Gingerbread bundle that had cookies that were die cut from the Gingerbread & Peppermint 6″ x 6″ designer series paper and then decorated. Today’s card has cookies that are made from die cut card stock and decorated. The detailed dies in the Gingerbread dies looks like icing that is piped on the cookies! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

My card was also inspired by the great sketch in Freshly Made Sketches #508:

Here is the video of my Facebook Live from yesterday afternoon. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here if you prefer.

I adhered a strip of Old Olive Gingerbread & Peppermints 6″ x 6″ designer series paper down the center of a Real Red panel of the DSP and adhered the layered panel to the front of a Real Red card base. I cut a Basic White panel with the second largest Scalloped Contours die and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Frosted Gingerbread photopolymer stamp set in Real Red in the lower corner.

I cut one each of the outline cookie shapes from the Stampin’ Up! Frosted Gingerbread bundle from Kraft card stock and one each of the detailed cookie dies from Basic White card stock. For some of the shapes, I adhered some adhesive sheet to the back before die cutting and for some of the shapes I adhered it with liquid glue afterwards. I found both methods work well and are easy to do. I adhered all the white detailed die cuts to the corresponding Kraft cookie die cuts and decorated the bell, ornament and snowflake with red rhinestones.

I adhered the snowflake, bell and ornament to the scalloped rectangle die cut with dimensionals and adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals. I cut three peppermints from the Gingerbread and Peppermints 6″ x 6″ DSP with the circle dies from the Gingerbread Dies and adhered them to the card front with liquid glue. I finished the card front with a bow made from ruffled Real Red Ribbon and adhered with a glue dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Whimsical Trees cling stamp set in Real Red ink in the middle of Basic White panel. I stamped the peppermints from the Stampin’ Up! Frosted Gingerbread stamp set in Real Red and Old Olive in the upper corner and adhered the star cookie in the lower corner. I trimmed the point of the star, even with the panel and adhered a strip of Gingerbread & Peppermint 6″ x 6″ DSP to the bottom, tucking it under the cookie. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Frosted Gingerbread bundle is so versatile and a lot of fun. Christmas cookies are a wonderful Holiday tradition and this bundle is perfect for making a couple of dozen!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Season for Thanksgiving Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Have you seen the Stampin’ Up! Christmas Season photopolymer stamp set used for Fall cards? Last week I made a #simplestamping Christmas card with this set and I wanted to keep playing with this set and make a Thanksgiving card. I have seen a few and I was also inspired by a thank you card that I saw in the store, so I decided to give it a try. Here is the result. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I couldn’t post my Facebook Live video, but I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and here it is:

I stamped the leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Christmas Season stamp set in Soft Succulent, Bumblebee and Cinnamon Cider on a Very Vanilla panel. For each image, I did a second generation (aka stamp off once) stamping over the first leaf, but slightly offset. This made the ‘bouquet’ look fuller. Then I stamped the berries in Merry Merlot.

I embossed the panel using the Timber 3D embossing folder to give it more texture and I adhered it to a Merry Merlot mat with liquid glue. I wrapped the panel with Very Vanilla Baker’s twine twice and made a bow on the side.

I stamped the sentiment from the Sparkle of the Season stamp set in Merry Merlot on a Cinnamon Cider panel and cut it out with the die from the Seasonal Labels bundle using the two step method. In the video, I made the first cut all the way, and it worked beautifully with this label die. But you have to be careful if using a stitched label die, because you will get stitching all the way to the end. I should have mentioned this in the video, but I didn’t think about it until afterwards.

I adhered the label over the vanilla twine with dimensionals and added three clear Genial Gems around the label. I popped the panel on the front of a Cinnamon Cider card base with dimensionals and trimmed the bow ends.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the images from the Stampin’ Up! Christmas Season stamp set in the corners of a Very Vanilla panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Christmas Season images are beautiful in fall colors! The shadow stamping technique works very well with these beautiful images as well. Give it a try!

Stampin’ Up! Love Of Leaves Fall Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Yesterday afternoon I pulled out the pretty Stampin’ Up! Love Of Leaves photopolymer stamp set and the beautiful Stitched Leaves dies to make a pair of fall cards. The Stitched leaves dies have pretty stitching on the outside of the die so you can create a pretty stitched leaf and an outline for the leaves with a pretty stitched edge. So I used the dies to make two cards from one cut. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the cards:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

For the first card, I embossed a panel of Cinnamon Cider with the Timber 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Cinnamon Cider card base. I cut a panel of Beauty of the Earth designer series paper with the third largest Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue. I cut the large leaf from the Stitched leaves dies with the inset from a Cajun Craze panel and used the outside frame for this card. I wrapped it with Linen Thread and made a bow and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals.

I finished it off with a label stamped with the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Love of Leaves stamp set stamped in Misty Moonlight on Cinnamon Cider. I cut it out with the small, long stitched rectangle die using the two step method and adhered it to the card front.

For the second card, I embossed a Soft Suede panel with the Bard 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Soft Suede card base. I cut panels of Beauty of the Earth DSP and Bumblebee DSP with the fourth largest Stitched Rectangle die and adhered them to the card front with liquid glue. I cut out the long leaf from the Stitched Leaves dies in Mossy Meadow and the small leaf from Cork paper using the dies with their insets. I adhered these leaves with the Cajun Craze leaf from the first card to the card front.

I finished off the card with a label stamped with the sentiment from the In Bloom photopolymer stamp set stamped in Soft Suede on Cinnamon Cider and cut out with the Stitched Rectangles die. I adhered the label to the card front with dimensionals. I finished off both card fronts with Brushed Metallic Dots.

For the inside of the cards, I inked up the large leaf stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Love Of Leaves stamp set with Cajun Craze ink and stamped off twice. Then I stamped the leaf in the middle of a Basic White panel. I adhered a strip of Beauty of the Earth DSP to the bottom of the panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card. I made the insides of both cards the same, but you could easily add inside sentiments that go with the occasion – or not.

The outside die stitching makes the Stitched Leaves dies very special because you don’t always get the nice decorative edging. This makes it easy to creatively use negative space in card making – you could even use it for a shaker card! The coordinating Stampin’ Up! Love Of Leaves stamp set has stamps for pretty shaded leaves and wonderful sentiments. We’re so lucky to have so many options for beautiful Fall stamp sets right now! I can’t decide on which I love best!

Stampin’ Up! Whimsical Trees Christmas Card Video Tutorial For World Cardmaking Day

Good Morning! Yesterday was World Card Making Day and the Inkin’ Krew had a special Facebook event to celebrate. Several members from out team went live throughout the day making cards, many with Christmas cards so it was full of wonderful inspiration, and I have filled up my shopping list again! Anyway, my card was a Christmas card made with the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Whimsical Trees bundle and Whimsy and Wonder specialty designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel so you can view it there if you didn’t get to join the Facebook Event group:

I stamped the tree from the Stampin’ Up! Whimsical Trees cling stamp set in Mossy Meadow on Thick Basic White card stock and cut it out with the coordinating die. I embossed a panel of Basic White with the Merry Melody 3D embossing folder and adhered it to a Mossy Meadow mat. Note that this is one of the embossing folders that shrinks the paper a little, so cut the panel about 1/16″ longer before embossing, or emboss a larger panel and cut it down to size after embossing. I adhered the layered embossed panel to a Blushing Bride card front with dimensionals.

I cut a panel of Whimsy and Wonder specialty designer series paper with a stitched rectangle die and adhered it to a dark silver foil mat – I love this pack of silver foil!! I adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals and adhered the tree to the card front with more dimensionals. I cut another dark silver foil panel with the star from the Christmas Trimmings dies and adhered it to the tree top with a glue dot and decorated the tree with 2021-2023 In color jewels.

I stamped the Joy sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Whimsical Trees stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink on Mint Macaron and trimmed the end with a fishtail from the Banners Pick A Punch. I tucked it under the tree, adhering it with glue dots and finished it with a pink jewel. I made a bow with the Blushing Bride ribbon and adhered it under the tree with glue dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the tree from the Stampin’ Up! Whimsical Trees stamp set in stamped off Mossy Meadow and stamped the decorations over the tree in Polished Pink. I stamped the sentiment in Polished Pink next to the tree and trimmed the bottom of the panel with Whimsy and Wonder DSP. I adhered the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat and then to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Whimsical Trees bundle and the Whimsy and Wonder specialty designer series paper are absolutely beautiful! The colors are so fresh and fun, and every card is gorgeous!

Join me for a Facebook Live this Afternoon!

I’m planning to go live on my Facebook Page at 1:00 ET this afternoon to make a card with the Love of Leaves stamp set and the Stitched Leaves dies. Look forward to seeing you then!
