Stampin’ Up! My Meadow Friendship Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! It’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop time so WELCOME! I wanted to share a card that celebrates the promise of Spring so I turned to the lovely Stampin’ Up! My Meadow photopolymer stamp set to create my card for today. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week, and here is the sketch we are using:

I first wanted to make the Stampin’ Up! My Meadow gazebo as a focal image, but I felt it was too big, so I decided to use the wheel barrow and fill it with tulips. I stamped the wheel barrow in Basic Gray and Real Red and the flowers in Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green. I put it on a little Sahara Sand stone path and stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Friendship stamp set in Soft Suede. I adhered the image to a Seaside Spray scalloped mat cut with the Stitched So Sweetly die. I finished the little panel with another tulip cluster, a Seaside Spray faceted dot and a linen thread bow.

I used the other images in the Stampin’ Up! My Meadow stamp set to represent the swirls in the sketch. But first, I sponged the top of a Whisper White panel with Seaside Spray and the bottom in Pear Pizzazz. For the top images, I used the gazebo (yay, I got to include the gazebo in the card!!) stamped in Soft Suede with some Gray Granite birds and Pear Pizzazz grass. On the other side I added more grass and the trees stamped in Gray Granite with stamped off Flirty Flamingo leaves. I tried to make it look like the cherry trees in my back yard that are starting to bloom.

The bottom swirls were all about the Mango Melody Tulips. But I did add the little Japanese bridge and a little creek in Soft Suede and Seaside Spray. I adhered the panel to a Seaside Spray mat and then to a Sahara Sand card base with dimensionals. I popped the wheel barrow image on top with dimensionals.

For the inside panel, I stamped more Mango Melody Tulips and Cherry Trees on a Whisper White panel and adhered it to the inside of the card.

The faux swirl Stampin’ Up My Meadow little scene vignettes are mostly hidden by the main panel, so use your imagination to place yourself in a beautiful, peaceful Spring retreat! And I’ll push the wheel barrow to bring you more Mango Melody tulips.

Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence with Positive Thoughts Hugs Card

Good Morning! Today’s card mixes the florals from the Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence stamp set with the sentiments from the Stampin’ Up Positive Thoughts stamp set showing how easily you can mix elements from the Annual Catalog with the Mini Catalog. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Cut a panel of Pear Pizzazz card stock and run it through the Scripty embossing folder. Adhere it to a panel of Perennial Essence designer series paper and then to a Pretty Peacock card base. Punch two leaf clusters from Pear Pizzazz card stock with the Leaf punch and adhere them to the card. Fold a length of linen ribbon and adhere it to the card front with glue dots. Trim the ends of the ribbon.

Stamp two of the 3-petal stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence stamp set with Versamark Ink on So Saffron Vellum. Sprinkle it with white embossing powder and heat set until it becomes shiny. Punch them out with the Perennial Flower punch. Punch two additional petal clusters from the So Saffron vellum. Adhere the petal clusters together with glue dots, arranging them so that the two embossed ones are on top and the petal tips are offset. Top with a Perennial Essence floral center

Adhere the flower to the card with dimensionals. Stamp the Hugs sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on a strip of Sahara Sand card stock. Cut it out with the die from the Ornate Frames dies. Adhere the label to the card with glue dots. Finish with three Woven Threads Sequins.

Stamp the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on a Whisper White panel. Adhere a strip of the Perennial Essence designer series paper to the bottom and adhere the panel to the inside of the card.

Now I have to make a confession – my card is CASE’d (copy and selectively edit) from a similar card in the Annual Catalog. I used a different embossing folder and ribbon, and I decided to use the Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts stamp set for the sentiments, so it’s a little different. But it shows how you can use the pretty projects in the catalogs for inspiration – and there are lots of them!

Stampin’ Up! Botanical Prints Product Medley Cards

Good Morning! Today I’m sharing a pair of sweet cards designed for our Inkin’ Krew Team Meeting last month using the Stampin’ Up! Botanical Prints Product Medley. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

The Stampin’ Up! Botanical Prints Product Medley is the latest in the series and it includes stamps, dies, designer series paper, embellishments and die cut and laser cut accent sheets. Stampin’ Up! provides the list of coordinating colors so you can use the cardstock and ink that is already in your stash to express your creativity with all the coordinating items.

Adhere the Whisper White panel to the Old Olive panel and pop it on a Terracotta Tile card base with dimensionals. Color the leaves in the Terracotta Tile DSP with Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blend and the flower centers with Dark Daffodil Delight. Adhere it to the Old Olive mat and then to the card front with liquid glue. Stamp the flower cluster from the Stampin’ Up! Botanical Prints Product Medley stamp set twice with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White and cut them out with the coordinating die. Color the leaves with Light Old Olive and the flower centers with Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin Blends.

Stamp the sentiment on one of the fancy laser cut labels in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Cut out 3 sets of leaf clusters from Old Olive card stock. Arrange the die cut flowers and leaves and adhere them with liquid glue. Adhere the label with dimensionals and finish the front with clear rhinestone gems.

Stamp the berry cluster from the Stampin’ Up! Botanical Prints Product Medley in Highland Heather ink on the top of a Highland Heather card base. Adhere the tile patterned DSP from Botanical Prints DSP to the Old Olive mat and then to the Highland Heather card base with liquid glue. Stamp the sentiment on a Whisper White panel and cut it out with the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies.

Stamp the berries on a Whisper White panel and color them with Highland Heather, Light So Saffron and Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. Cut them out with the coordinating die and pop them on the oval with dimensionals. Pop the oval on the card base with dimensionals and accent with three rhinestone gems.

For the inside of the Terracotta Tile card, stamp the floral image from the Stampin’ Up! Botanical Prints Product Medley in two corners of a Whisper White panel in Terracotta Tile ink and adhere it to the inside of the card. Stamp the floral image on the corner of a Whisper White Medium envelope to match.

For the inside of the Highland Heather card, stamp the berries from the Stampin’ Up! Botanical Prints Product Medley on the lower corner of a Whisper White panel. Adhere it to an Old Olive mat and then to the inside of the card with liquid glue.

The lifelike images of the flowers and fruits in the Stampin’ Up! Botanical Prints Product Medley are reminiscent of antique botanical prints and make elegant and pretty cards with an updated and modern feel.

Stampin’ Up! Welcome Easter Card

Good Morning! Today I am sharing a sweet Easter Card that I made yesterday during my Sunday Facebook Live session. The Stampin’ Up! Welcome Easter cling stamp set has three cute baby animals that can be used for either baby cards or Easter cards. I made an Easter card with the cute little chick.

Here’s the Facebook Live video showing how to make the card:

I also posted the video to my YouTube Channel and you can view it here if you prefer.

I stamped the little chick from the Stampin’ Up! Welcome Easter in Basic Gray ink on a small Whisper White panel and colored it with Daffodil Delight and Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends. I cut it out with the largest stitched circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies and adhered it to a Pear Pizzazz scalloped circle cut with the Layering Circles Dies. I stamped the Happy Easter Greeting in Pear Pizzazz ink on a strip of Whisper White and cut it out with the long stitched rectangle die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies.

I embossed a Whisper White panel with the Ornate Flowers 3D embossing folder. This pretty embossing folder will be available on April 1 as part of the Ornate Garden Suite Early Release. I adhered the embossed panel to a Pear Pizzazz card base with liquid glue. I added a strip of Pear Pizzazz gingham from the Subtles 6×6 Designer Series Paper and adhered the label on top with liquid glue. I adhered the chick from the Stampin’ Up! Welcome Easter stamp set with dimensionals and finished the front with a Daffodil Delight bow.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flower cluster and little bee in Basic Gray ink on a Whisper White panel. I colored them with Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Highland Heather and Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Pear Pizzazz gingham and adhered it to the inside of the card with liquid glue.

Next up for Stampin’ Up! Welcome Easter stamp set is a set of baby cards, also with gingham – I just need to figure out the sketch. On the sample (bottom card), I stamped the chick with Smoky Slate ink and I used Basic Gray (top card) in the video. I didn’t want to use black ink because I wanted to keep the softness of the baby chick. I think I prefer the Basic Gray, what do you think? Have a great week and stay healthy!

Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I made a card with the Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts cling stamp set and the coordinating Nature’s Thoughts Dies from the Coordination Products Release. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week, and here is the sketch we are using:

I started by embossing a panel of Mint Macaron card stock with the Coastal Weave 3D embossing folder and the 3D embossing folder plate and adhering it to the bottom of a panel of Garden Lane designer series paper with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered the layered DSP to a Soft Suede card base. I stamped the Hugs Prayers Love sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts stamp set with Versamark Ink on a Sahara Sand panel and sprinkled it with gold embossing powder. I heat set the embossing powder. I stamped the fern three times on the panel with Mint Macaron ink, once full strength and twice after stamping off. I cut the panel out with the fancy stitched rectangle die from the Nature’s Thoughts Dies and sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink to give it a distressed look.

I stamped the fern from the Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts stamp set in Pear Pizzazz ink on a Whisper White panel. I cut it out with the coordinating die. I stamped the flower in Blushing Bride ink on a Whisper White panel and cut it out with the coordinating die. I cut the flower center out of Blushing Bride card stock with the die from the Nature’s Thoughts dies and pushed up the little die cuts. I also cut out two of the sprigs from Rococo Rose card stock. I lightly sponged all the die cuts with Soft Suede ink.

I adhered the flower center to the stamped flower with multipurpose liquid glue and added a Rococo Rose faceted dot. I arranged the leaves and buds on the embossed panel and adhered them with multipurpose liquid glue. I folded and trimmed a length of white linen ribbon and adhered it with glue dots. I popped the layered flower on with dimensionals and added a linen thread bow. I finished it off with a gold foil butterfly cut with the small butterfly die from the Nature’s Thoughts dies. I adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the corners of a Whisper White panel with the fern stamp in Mint Macaron ink after stamping off. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Garden Lane DSP and adhered it to the inside of the card with snail.

The Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts cling stamp set has so many beautiful natural images and I love all the cards I have seen using it. And it’s so appropriate to our times. Take care!

Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies Thank You Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I made a pretty thank you card for today’s hop using the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies bundle along with the Peaceful Poppies designer series paper.

We have a color challenge this week, and here is the pretty color palette we are using:

My card layout was inspired by the pretty sketch in the TGIF Challenges blog, #TGIFC255 Sketch Challenge. Here is their sketch:

I cut a strip of the striped Peaceful Poppies designer series paper and adhered it to the side of a Blackberry Bliss panel with snail. I cut three of the bubble border dies from the Painted Labels dies in Blackberry Bliss card stock and adhered them together. I adhered them to the back of the floral panel of Peaceful Poppies DSP and then trimmed the ends. I adhered the panel to the Blackberry bliss panel so that it overlapped the striped paper.

I stamped the Thank You sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set on a strip of Old Olive in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the large label die from the Merry Christmas Dies to cut out the sentiment. I stamped the small poppy and three leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies stamp set on a Whisper White panel in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored them with the Poppy Parade and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends and cut them out with the coordinating dies from the Painted Labels dies.

I adhered the label and leaves to the floral background with multipurpose liquid glue and adhered the poppy with dimensionals. I adhered the decorated panel to a Pool Party card base and finished of the front with rhinestones colored with the dark Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blend.

I stamped the small poppy and two leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Whisper White panel. I used a mask to stamp the leaves after I stamped the flower. I colored the leaves with the Old Olive Stampin’ Blends and the flower with the Poppy Parade Stampin Blends. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of the floral Peaceful Poppies DSP and adhered it to the inside of the card.

Stampin’ Up! Well Dressed Anniversary Card

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Today I am all about Anniversaries! Today is the 1 year anniversary of my first blog post and I have a masculine anniversary card made with the Stampin’ Up! Well Dressed cling stamp set for my DH to celebrate our 44th anniversary this weekend. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

The layout for today’s card was inspired by the wonderful sketch at Fab Friday 185. Here is their sketch:

I stamped the tie from the Stampin’ Up! Well Dressed Sale-A-Bration cling stamp set on a panel of Whisper white in Night of Navy ink. Next to it, I stamped the wing tip shoe in Early Espresso ink and the fountain pen in Garden Green ink. Whew, good thing that the background plaid had green so I could add a touch of green for St. Patrick’s Day! I adhered the panel to a Night of Navy mat. I stamped the fedora hat in Soft Suede ink on a scrap of Crumb Cake card stock and fussy cut it out with my paper snips. Then I adhered it to stamped square with multipurpose liquid glue.

I cut a panel of the wood grained paper from the Pressed Petals specialty designer series paper and adhered it to a Soft Suede mat. I adhered the stamped panel on top with dimensionals. I tied a length of denim ribbon and adhered it to the side with glue dots. I stamped the Happy Anniversary label with stamps from the Well Said cling stamp set in Night of Navy ink on a Whisper White panel. I adhered it to a Soft Suede mat. I adhered the label to the panel with dimensionals under the bottom edge and multipurpose liquid glue under the top. I finished off the panel with a gold metallic pearl tie tack!

I adhered a panel of the blue plaid Country Club designer series paper to a Night of Navy card base. I adhered the decorated art panel to the card front with multipurpose liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Well Said stamp set in Night of Navy on a Whisper White panel. I stamped another fountain pen from the Stampin’ Up! Well Dressed stamp set in Garden Green ink and trimmed the bottom with more of the Country Club DSP. I adhered it to the inside of the card with snail.

The Stampin’ Up! Well Dressed cling stamp set is a Sale-A-Bration stamp set that is FREE with a $50 purchase. It is part of the Sale-A-Bration Second Release and will be available through the end of the month or until supplies last.

I don’t think we’ll be doing anything special this weekend for our anniversary, but at least he’ll get a nice handmade card!

As for my blog, in the past year, I have really enjoyed myself. I managed to write 168 blog posts and I finally hit 200 followers. I am so grateful for all of my supporters! On to year 2!

Stampin’ Up! Witty-cisms for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Today I made a cheerful thank you card using the fun Stampin’ Up! Witty-cisms cling stamp set along with the bright Dinoroar designer series paper.

We have a sketch challenge this week, and here is the sketch we are using:

Who would have thought you could mix dinosaurs with strawberries? But this pretty paper in the Dinoroar designer series paper pack was so bright and cheerful and it reminded me of my old kitchen wallpaper, so I thought it would be perfect with strawberries! So I cut a panel and adhered it to a Lovely Lipstick card base with multipurpose liquid glue.

I stamped the strawberry thank you image from the Stampin’ Up! Witty-cisms cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a panel of Whisper White and colored it with the Lovely Lipstick and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. I made a highlight in the center of the berry with the Stampin’ Blends Color Lifter. Then I cut it out with the second largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies. I cut a scalloped circle with the Layering Circles Dies from Pretty Peacock and adhered it to the back with snail. I punched four leaf clusters from Old Olive card stock with the Leaf Punch.

I stamped four little flowers from the Sale-A-Bration Thoughtful Blooms stamp set in stamped-off Smoky Slate ink on Whisper White. I punched them out with the Sale-A-Bration Small Bloom Punch. I curled the petals of three flowers with the large ball in the Take Your Pick tool and my mouse pad. I turned the flower upside down and rolled little circles in each petal until it puffed out. Then I turned it right side up and pressed in the center. I finished off the centers with a Pineapple Punch enamel dot. I arranged the leaf clusters and adhered them to the card front with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered the layered circle with dimensionals and finally stuck on each flower with a glue dot.

For the inside of the card, I adhered the last leaf cluster to a Whisper White panel with multipurpose liquid glue. I added a strip of the colorful Dinoroar DSP to the bottom and added the last flower. I cut a small circle of Pineapple Punch card stock with the large flower die from the Sending Flowers Dies and adhered it to the center of the flower. I think if I had a 1/8″ or 1/4″ hole punch, I would have used it instead, but I made the best of what I had available. Finally I stamped and colored another strawberry from the Stampin’ Up! Witty-cisms stamp set and my Old Olive and Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends. I fussy cut the strawberry and adhered it next to the flower. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with snail.

The Stampin’ Up! Witty-cisms cling stamp set has fun images mixed with punny sentiments to create light hearted cards for different occasions.

Stampin’ Up! Easter Promise for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Inkin’ Krew Monthly Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is Celebrate Spring and I want to share my first Easter Card for this year.

I started by embossing a panel of Pool Party card stock with the Layered Leaves embossing folder. I adhered the panel to a Daffodil Delight card base with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered a panel of the striped Pleased as Punch designer series paper across the embossed panel with multipurpose liquid glue.

I stamped the crocus from the Stampin’ Up! Easter Promise cling stamp set on a panel of watercolor paper with Stazon Jet Black ink. I colored the image with watercolor pencils and the smaller brush tip aqua painter. I used Gorgeous Grape for the flowers, Granny Apple Green and Garden Green for the stems and a touch of Crushed Curry for the flower center. I colored the areas with the pencils first, with more color in the areas I wanted darker, even leaving some of the lighter areas without color. Then I went over each area with the aqua painter starting in the darker area and bringing the color out to the lighter areas.

After the flowers dried, I cut them out with the Layering Ovals die. I cut out a scalloped oval in Granny Apple Green and adhered it to the back of the watercolored flowers with snail. I popped the flowers on the card front with dimensionals. I finished it off with three Gorgeous Grape gemstones and a Mint Macaron bow.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the joyful Happy Easter sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Easter Promise stamp set with Granny Apple Green ink on a Whisper White panel. I stamped the flower in the corner with Stazon Jet Black ink and colored it with the same watercolor pencils as the front image – I just used a very light touch with the aqua painter so it didn’t get very wet. I added a strip of the striped Pleased as Punch designer series paper to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with snail.

I just saw some of my crocuses bloom this weekend – Yay!! Spring is just around the corner! Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy the rest of the Hop!

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments Thank You Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Today I am sharing a video tutorial that I made yesterday during my Sunday Facebook Live session. I made a Thank You Card with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments and Painted Poppies bundles. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used. Here is my card:

And here’s the Facebook Live video:

I also posted the video to YouTube and you can view it here if you prefer.

I started by inking up my Coastal Weave Embossing Folder with Soft Sea Foam ink using the ink pad directly to the embossing folder. I carefully positioned a Whisper White panel in the embossing folder, closed it and ran it through the die cutting machine. This gave me the embossed panel with touches of Soft Sea Foam ink in the creases. I adhered the embossed panel to a Grapefruit Grove card base. I cut a Whisper White panel with the flower trellis die from the Wild Roses dies and adhered it to the lower part of the embossed panel with multipurpose liquid glue.

I die cut the flowers and leaves from the Peaceful Poppies dies and assembled them with multipurpose liquid glue. I cut the solid flowers from Petal Pink, the outline flowers from Grapefruit Grove and the centers from Calypso Coral. I cut the solid Leaves from Soft Sea Foam and the accent parts from Mint Macaron. I arranged the flowers and leaves on the card on top of the trellis and adhered all but the large flower with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered the large flower with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments stamp set in Mint Macaron ink on a panel of Soft Sea Foam. I cut it out with the small label die from the Painted Labels dies and adhered it to the card with dimensionals. I used the small spatter stamp from the Painted Poppies stamp set to stamp Calypso Coral ink on a length of Whisper White Crinkle Seam Binding ribbon to give it some color. I made a bow and attached it under the flowers with glue dots. I finished the card with three Petal Pink sequins.

On the inside of the card I stamped three flowers from the Painted Poppies stamp set in Calypso Coral ink after stamping off on a panel of Whisper White. I used the splotch stamp from the set to color the poppies in Petal Pink ink. I stamped three leaves in Mint Macaron after stamping off and then adhered it to the inside of the card with snail. I stamped a Whisper White envelope the same way as the inside panel.
