Stampin’ Up! Believe You Can Thank You Card

Good Morning! Today’s card uses the Stampin’ Up! Believe You Can stamp set which is one of the retiring Stampin’ Up! Hostess Exclusive stamp sets for parties with sales over $150. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped the large floral label from the Stampin’ Up! Believe You Can photopolymer stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Whisper White panel and colored it with Pretty Peacock, Balmy Blue, Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, Lovely Lipstick and Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends. I cut it out with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.

I stamped the corner with the rose in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a smaller scrap of Whisper White and colored it with the Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends. I fussy cut the flower and popped it on the label with a dimensional. I stamped the middle of the label with the banner again on a strip of Flirty Flamingo card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped the Thank You sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Believe You can stamp set in the banner – since the stamp is photopolymer, you can easily see through to get good placement. I fussy cut the banner and adhered it to the label with multipurpose liquid glue. Since I cut directly on the line, I used my Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker to carefully color the cut ends of the card stock so that it would blend with the black stamped line.

I cut a Pretty Peacock panel with the next largest die from the Stitched Nested Labels Dies and adhered the label with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered a panel of the striped paper from the Come Sail Away designer series paper to a Balmy Blue card base and popped the label on with dimensionals. I made a Crushed Curry bow and adhered it with a glue dot and accented the flowers on the label with colored rhinestones.

I stamped several flowers and leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Believe You Can stamp set on a Whisper White panel and colored them with Stampin’ Blends to match the colors on the card front. I trimmed the bottom of the panel with a strip of the striped Come Sail Away DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Hostess Exclusive sets can only be purchased with Stampin’ Rewards on individual orders over $150 or as a hostess with a party or workshop with sales over $150. During these days of Social Distancing, virtual parties are becoming more and more popular as opportunities for friends to virtually come together and craft. And there are a couple of different alternatives ways to do this. Contact me if you have any questions or if you are interested in hosting a virtual party.

Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy Mother’s Day Weekend!!😊

Stampin’ Up! Share Sunshine Cards

Good Morning! Have you seen the special Stampin’ Up! Share Sunshine COVID-19 Giveback Digital Stamps? Well, let me tell you more and show you how to Share Sunshine during these trying times. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here are the cards that I’ve made so far. All the proceeds from the COVID-19 Giveback promotion are donated to one of 2 organizations and you choose which (or both) to donate to. You can go here to purchase the set for $12 + tax. Then you download the PDF file containing 15 pages of stamped images. It also has a couple of pages that tell you additional information so you can design your cards. It tells you:

  • The colors that are on each page
  • The punches and die cuts that fit the images on each pages
  • Stamp sets that coordinate with a matching font.

Once you download the PDF, you can print out what you want on card stock and punch or die cut the image to add to your card. For today’s card, I printed the sentiments from page 3 of the PDF on Whisper White card stock using my Epson color printer.

On this card, I cut a panel of the Woven Threads DSP and adhered it to a pool party mat. Then I adhered it to a larger Pretty Peacock mat with dimensionals and finally to a pool party card base. I cut a strip of Pretty Peacock card stock and embossed it with the Subtle embossing folder and adhered it to the card. I cut the printed digital stamp with a Stitched Rectangle Die and adhered it to a Pool Party mat and then to the embossed strip with dimensionals. I finished it off by decorating the DSP medallion with Pretty Peacock Rhinestones.

I added anther strip of the Woven Threads DSP to the bottom of a Whisper White panel and adhered it to the inside of the card.

For this card, I cut the sentiment with the die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and adhered it to a Lovely Lipstick die cut of the larger die from the same set. I colored the Whisper White Crinkle Ribbon with the Light Purple Posy Stampin’ Blend and made a little bow that I attached with a glue dot. I adhered the striped paper from the Best Dressed DSP pack to a Whisper White mat. I adhered the floral paper on top with multipurpose liquid glue. I used the teeny border die from the Ornate Borders Dies to cut a strip of Whisper White and adhered it to the seam with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered the layered panel to a Lovely Lipstick card base with dimensionals and adhered the layered label with dimensionals.

Again, I added a strip of DSP to the bottom of a Whisper White panel before adhering it to the inside of the card.

These two cards came together pretty quickly and it’s nice to have something to send out to my loved ones who are far away that is relevant to our situation. I hope you stay safe and have a great week!

Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions Sending Hugs Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Today I’m sharing a card that I made yesterday afternoon during my Facebook Live Tutorial. It’s made with the versatile Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions photopolymer stamp set and it’s on the retiring list. It’s one of my favorites and on Friday I posted a card with the coordinating dies. Today’s card is all about stamping – specifically two step stamping where two coordinating stamps are used to create one image. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I also posted the video to my YouTube Channel and you can view it here.

I started by embossing a Balmy Blue card stock panel with the Coastal Weave embossing folder and adhering it to a Balmy Blue card base with multipurpose liquid glue. I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions photopolymer stamp set on a panel of Whisper White. I stamped each using the two step stamping method, by stamping off once with the fuller image to get a lighter color and stamping full strength with the corresponding highlight image. I used Lovely Lipstick for the large rose, Balmy Blue for the three medium flowers and Daffodil Delight for the cluster of small round flowers. I stamped the Leaves in Granny Apple Green and the sentiment in Shaded Spruce.

I added clear Wink of Stella to give the flowers some sparkle and adhered the stamped panel to a Lovely Lipstick mat. I tied a double strand of Linen thread around the panel and tied a bow and then adhered it to the card with dimensionals. I finished it off with three small epoxy drops.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the same flowers at the bottom corner of a Whisper White panel and adhered it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions stamp set is one of my all time favorites for creating stamped flowers. There are a variety of flower shapes and sizes and the sentiments are wonderful! And it is on sale at 20% discount as one of the retiring products. Hurry over to my Online Store to check it out!

Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions Thank You Card

Good Friday Morning! Today I am sharing a Thank You card made with the retiring Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions photopolymer stamp set and Springtime Impressions Dies. This set is one of my all time favorites because of it’s versatility and wonderful sentiments – and of course the gorgeous die cut butterfly! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the Purple Posy paper from the Best Dressed designer series paper to a Highland Heather card base with multipurpose liquid glue. I die cut the floral background from the Springtime Impressions Dies from Whisper White card stock and adhered it to the card front with small dots of multipurpose liquid glue.

Then I die cut the butterfly from Highland Heather card stock and adhered it to the card front with glue dots under the butterfly body so that the wings are free. I finished the butterfly off with two Highland Heather Glitter dots.

I stamped the Thank You sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions photopolymer stamp set on a Whisper White and cut it out with the long label die from the Ornate Frames Dies. I adhered the label to the card front with multipurpose liquid glue and finished it off with another Highland Heather glitter enamel dot.

I adhered a strip of the Purple Posy DSP to the bottom of a Whisper White panel. I cut the little flower from the Springtime Impressions Dies from Purple Posy card stock and adhered it to the bottom corner and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The die cut butterfly is so dramatic, yet this card was so simple to make. And yet I haven’t really begun to explore the many features of the Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions stamp set. I think that will be the next project. Lets play more with this set before it’s gone!

Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence Miss You Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I have a whimsical miss you card to brighten your day using the sweet Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence stamp bundle along with the Well Written Dies.

We have a color challenge this week, and here is the bright, fun color palette we are using:

My card also fits with the current challenge at TGIF Challenges – #TGIFC261- Use Your Words. Check it out – it’s a fun challenge and the cards are so cute.

I adhered a panel of the Daffodil Delight sprinkles paper from the Birthday Bonanza designer series paper pack to a Grapefruit Grove mat and then to a thick Whisper White card base with multipurpose liquid glue. I cut a panel of Whisper White with a Stitched So Sweetly Dies scalloped rectangle and embossed it with the Scripty embossing folder. I adhered it to the card front with multipurpose liquid glue.

I stamped 9 three petal flower clusters from the Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink on the Grapefruit Grove starburst paper from the Birthday Bonanza DSP pack. I sprinkled them with white embossing powder and shook off the excess. I heat set until shiny and punched them out with the Perennial Flower Punch. I gently curved the petals with my fingers and made three flowers by adhering the centers with multipurpose liquid glue – each flower has three sets of petals. I added a fun, fuzzy Perennial Essence Floral Center to each flower. I stamped 6 leaf clusters from the Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence stamp set using Bermuda Bay ink on the Bermuda Bay confetti paper from the Birthday Bonanza DSP pack and punched them out with the Leaf Punch.

I cut out the sentiment from Bermuda Bay card stock using the Well Written Dies. I also cut two Well Written Dies butterflies from Daffodil Delight card stock. With all the pieces cut out, I arranged them on the card front and started assembly by adhering the Bermuda Bay words with multipurpose liquid glue – Don’t lose the tiny dot for the ‘I’! I adhered the leaves with multipurpose liquid glue and the flowers with glue dots. Lastly, I adhere a little butterfly and finished it off with Calypso Coral enamel dots.

I adhered the second butterfly to the top corner of a Whisper White panel and added the strip of Daffodil Delight DSP. I adhered the decorated panel to a Grapefruit Grove mat and then to the inside of the card.

What do you think of stamping on the designer series paper? It’s a little different, giving a little extra texture to the flowers and leaves. Too bad I didn’t die cut the butterflies from the Daffodil Delight sprinkle paper – next time.

On with the Hop! Click the Next button below to see the project that Karen Ksenzakovic created for today’s blog hop.

And just in case you get lost along the way, here’s a list of the team members participating in the hop today:

Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home Birthday Card

Good Morning! Today I have a nautical masculine birthday card made with the Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home stamp bundle. Nautical theme cards are great staples for making masculine cards and the Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home bundle has great images and dies to let you easily create wonderful cards! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a panel of Sahara Sand card stock with the Subtle embossing folder and adhered it to a Night of Navy card base with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered a strip of the striped Come Sail Away designer series paper and adhered it to a Night of Navy mat before adhering it to the card front. I colored two strips of the nautical instrument Come Sail Away DSP with the Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend. I adhered the thicker strip to a Night of Navy mat. I cut two long rope die cuts with the die from the Smooth Sailing Dies from Soft suede. I adhered one to the top of the layered instrument DSP panel and trimmed the ends before adhering it to the card panel with multipurpose liquid glue.

I stamped the lighthouse image from the Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home cling stamp set in Night of Navy on a Whisper White panel. I colored it with the Light Cherry Cobbler and Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends and cut it out with the coordinating die from the Smooth Sailing Dies. I popped it on the card with dimensionals. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Perennial Birthday cling stamp set on a Sahara Sand panel in Night of Navy ink. I cut it out with the stitched rectangle die using the two step partial die cut method so that it was shorter than the die. I adhered it to a Night of Navy mat and to the card with dimensionals.

Using the Smooth Sailing Dies, I made the little die cut accents above the label – so much fun! I cut the coiled rope from Crumb Cake card stock and sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink. I cut the ship wheel from Soft suede card stock and accented the center with a gold metallic pearl. I stamped the anchor from the Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home stamp set in Night of Navy ink on Gray Granite card stock, cut it out with the anchor die and tied the twine around the top. Then I arranged the items on the card and adhered the wheel with multipurpose liquid glue and the anchor and rope with dimensionals. Then I cut the little pennants in the top corner and adhered them with multipurpose liquid glue and topped them off with a ship wheel trinket.

I stamped the sentiment from the Perennial Birthday stamp set in the middle of a Whisper White panel using Night of Navy ink. I stamped the anchor in the top corner in Night of Navy and added the colored DSP to the bottom. I adhered the last die cut rope across the top of the DSP trim and snipped the ends. Then I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with multipurpose liquid glue.

I decorated a Whisper White envelope to match the card by stamping the lighthouse in Night of Navy ink on the side. This is the best nautical stamp set ever and I am so happy that it is not on the retirement list!! Some of the accessories are being retried though, so if you enjoy nautical cards, head over to my Online Store to get them before they’re gone!

Stampin’ Up! A Little Lace Hello Card

Good Morning! Have you heard of the Scrappy Strip technique? Well, I’ll tell you about it because today’s card uses the Scrappy Strip Technique along with the Stampin’ Up! A Little Lace cling stamp set. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

The Scrappy Strip technique was developed by Australian Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators Kylie and Bruno Bertucci earlier this year and is really simple, but so dramatic. And since tomorrow Stampin’ Up will announce the retiring list and carryover list and preview the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog to Demonstrators, I decided to make my Scrappy Strip card using the beautiful, bold 2018-2020 In Colors because they will be on the retiring list!

I started by cutting 3-4 strips each of Blueberry Bushel, Lovely Lipstick, Call Me Clover, Pineapple Punch, Grapefruit Grove and Whisper White card stock. Start with 5-1/2″ wide panels and randomly cut the strips so that one end is thicker than the other. I used widths between 1/4″ and 1/2″ and had strips left over. Adhere the first strip even with the short edge of a 4-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ panel of Basic Black card stock using multipurpose liquid glue. Add glue to the back of the next strip and place it next to the first strip with a small black space between the two strips. Continue adhering strips until the Basic Black panel is covered. The edge of the strips will extend beyond the edge of the Basic black panel and that’s ok. Arrange the colors so that it is pleasing to your taste. When one end gets too angled, flip the strip so that the thick end is on the other side. You can see in this picture how I’ve started adhering the strips to the Basic Black card stock.

When the panel is covered, trim the excess strips with a paper trimmer or paper snips. Trim off a 1/2″ strip for the inside of the card, and trim the rest of the panel so that it is 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″. Adhere it to a 4″ x 5-1/4″ Basic Black mat with multipurpose liquid glue, and then to a Basic Black card base with dimensionals.

I wanted to use the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! A Little Lace stamp set, so I stamped it in VersaMark Ink on a strip of Basic Black card stock. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set until it was shiny. I trimmed the end and adhered it to the card front with multipurpose liquid glue.

I adhered the 1/2″ Scrappy Strip panel to the bottom of a Whisper White panel and trimmed the ends. I then adhered it to the inside of my card with multipurpose liquid glue.

The Scrappy Strip technique makes cards that look like a piece of modern art! And the bold Stampin’ Up! 2018-2020 In Colors are a perfect contrast for the black background. And it’s so sad to see them go. But once once the products – ink, markers, refills, paper and embellishments – are sold out, they will sadly no longer be available. So if there is something you still need from the 2018-2020 In Color product line to complete your stash, head quickly to my Online Store to stock up before they’re gone.

Stampin’ Up! Tropical Oasis Memories and More Note Cards

Good Morning! Today I have a set of four fun note cards made with the Stampin’ Up! Tropical Memories and More card pack. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

The Memories and More card packs by Stampin’ Up! have 6″ x 4″ and 3″ x 4″ double sided cards that all coordinate and special laser cut stickers. This has the following advantages:

  • It makes card making easy and quick for the beginner paper crafter or busy person with limited crafting time.
  • The cards are perfectly sized and designed for Memory Keeping Journal pocket pages and Scrapbooking.

And the Stampin’ Up! Tropical Oasis Memories and More card pack has great nostalgic images that perfectly capture a relaxing tropical paradise! Here are four cards that I made using some of the cards in the card pack:

I wanted to make a simple set of 4 note cards with a tropical theme and I used the Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Cards and Envelopes. These are made from a thinner craft paper but with a pretty white foil decoration and the rustic feel goes well with the tropical theme. I ended up covering up the white foil on the cards, but you can see it trimming the envelope sides. The size of the card bases is 4-1/4″ x 6-1/4″, so they go perfectly with the large cards in the Memories and More card packs.

My concept was to use a 3″ x 4″ card with a cute image and surround it with a coordinating all over design so I started by selecting 4 of the 3″ x 4″ cards. I couldn’t find good backgrounds for all of them, so I looked through the Tropical Oasis designer series paper and found good matches. For this card, I paired the cute ukulele image with the lily Tropical Oasis designer series paper cut to 4″ x 6″. I used Shaded Spruce to mat the small card and adhered everything with multipurpose liquid glue.

With this card, I used Shaded Spruce as a mat again and paired the hibiscus and frangipani with the 4″ x 6″ bird of paradise card from the Stampin’ Up! Tropical Oasis Memories and More card pack.

I feel bad so many beaches are closed, but in carefree times, this is a great idea. And I love these vintage station wagons! I paired this cute 3″ x 4″ Stampin’ Up! Tropical Oasis Memories and More card with an Early Espresso mat and the cute station wagon paper from the Tropical Oasis designer series paper for the background.

For my final card in the set, I chose this fabulous flamingo and paired it with the flamingo background 4″ x 6″ Stampin’ Up! Memories and More card. I used Shaded Spruce for the mat.

For the inside of each card, I cut a 4″ x 6″ panel of Whisper White and trimmed the bottom with the same papers as the background. I added one of the flower stickers to the top corner and that was it. Quick and easy way to create a fun note card set.

Isn’t this a fun set of note cards? I have really enjoyed playing with the Stampin’ Up! Memories and More card packs because they are so versatile and add another dimension to coordinating with other products in the same suite. And there are still so many cute images left in the card pack that I still need to put to good use.

Stampin’ Up! Flourishing Phrases Note Card

Good Morning! Do you remember the Stampin’ Up! Flourishing Phrases cling stamp set and Flourish Dies? It’s been a couple of years since these came out, but they were one of my favorites when they made their debut. It has so many intricate dies and gorgeous sentiments for all occasions. Since I haven’t used it for a while, I thought I’d pull it out and make a simple card and combine it with some of the newer products. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a panel of Whisper White card stock with the Coastal Weave embossing folder. I trimmed the embossed panel to 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ afterward. The Coastal Weave embossing folder is one that sometimes shrinks the paper, so I cut it larger than needed to allow for shrinkage.

I cut out the largest flower from the Flourish Dies from Grapefruit Grove card stock. I cut out the medium flower from Whisper White card stock and the smallest flower from Grapefruit Grove. I used mini glue dots to adhere the flowers together, aligning the petal tips. I adhered a large Basic Pearl to the center. I cut the large leaf sprig from the Flourish Dies from Mint Macaron card stock and the berries from Crumb Cake. I trimmed the ends of the last two die cuts so they wouldn’t extend too far.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Flourishing Phrases stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a strip of Mint Macaron card stock. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set until shiny. I cut the sentiment with the second smallest of the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and adhered it to the card front with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered the leaf and berries with small dots of multipurpose liquid glue so it wouldn’t smear, and I held it down for a few seconds to make sure it was stuck. I adhered the flower with a dimensional and I made a bow from Whisper White crinkle ribbon and tucked it under the edge of the flower with a glue dot.

I cut another medium flower from the Flourish Dies from Grapefruit Grove and adhered it to a Whisper White panel, again using small dots of multipurpose liquid glue. I cut two small leaves from Mint Macaron and adhered them next to the flower. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The vivid graphics in the Stampin’ Up! Flourishing Phrases stamp set and Flourish Dies go well with many of the newer products. It’s fun to bring out the old with all their memories and give them a new twist by combining them with newer products. And it’s good to pull out the Grapefruit Grove card stock. As one of the 2018-2020 In Colors, it will be retired when the new Annual Catalog is released. Now is a good time to stock up on 2018-2020 In Color card stock, ink pads and refills before the supplies become limited!

Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence with Positive Thoughts Hugs Card

Good Morning! Today’s card mixes the florals from the Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence stamp set with the sentiments from the Stampin’ Up Positive Thoughts stamp set showing how easily you can mix elements from the Annual Catalog with the Mini Catalog. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Cut a panel of Pear Pizzazz card stock and run it through the Scripty embossing folder. Adhere it to a panel of Perennial Essence designer series paper and then to a Pretty Peacock card base. Punch two leaf clusters from Pear Pizzazz card stock with the Leaf punch and adhere them to the card. Fold a length of linen ribbon and adhere it to the card front with glue dots. Trim the ends of the ribbon.

Stamp two of the 3-petal stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence stamp set with Versamark Ink on So Saffron Vellum. Sprinkle it with white embossing powder and heat set until it becomes shiny. Punch them out with the Perennial Flower punch. Punch two additional petal clusters from the So Saffron vellum. Adhere the petal clusters together with glue dots, arranging them so that the two embossed ones are on top and the petal tips are offset. Top with a Perennial Essence floral center

Adhere the flower to the card with dimensionals. Stamp the Hugs sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on a strip of Sahara Sand card stock. Cut it out with the die from the Ornate Frames dies. Adhere the label to the card with glue dots. Finish with three Woven Threads Sequins.

Stamp the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on a Whisper White panel. Adhere a strip of the Perennial Essence designer series paper to the bottom and adhere the panel to the inside of the card.

Now I have to make a confession – my card is CASE’d (copy and selectively edit) from a similar card in the Annual Catalog. I used a different embossing folder and ribbon, and I decided to use the Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts stamp set for the sentiments, so it’s a little different. But it shows how you can use the pretty projects in the catalogs for inspiration – and there are lots of them!
