Stampin’ Up! Queen Anne’s Lace for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Today, I made a little hello card with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Queen Anne’s Lace photopolymer stamp set. I have loved seeing these pretty wild flowers along the roadside in summertime since I was a little girl. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a theme challenge this week and we are using the theme of “Outdoors” today – perfect for summer roadside flowers!

I used a blending brush to apply Balmy Blue ink to the top of a panel of Bloom Where You’re Planted designer series paper so it would look like a summer sky. I used my stamparatus and both plates to line up the stems and flower stamps for the Stampin’ Up! Queen Anne’s Lace on both the vellum and the DSP. I wanted to make sure I stamped the stem on the DSP so that the vellum would line up straight when I stamped the flowers on it. I stamped the stems on the DSP in Soft Suede ink and the flowers on the vellum in Versamark ink. I sprinkled white embossing powder on the vellum, shook off the excess and heat set until it was shiny.

I stamped more of the stems from the Stampin’ Up! Queen Anne’s Lace stamp set on the bottom of the DSP panel in Soft Suede ink and then embossed the panel with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. I adhered the embossed panel to a Basic White mat and adhered the vellum to the panel with glue dots hidden behind the embossed flowers and label. I wrapped the panel twice with white bakers twine, tied a loopy bow and adhered the panel to the front of a Just Jade card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Queen Anne’s Lace stamp set in Garden Green ink on the Just Jade panel and cut it out with the Tasteful Labels die. I adhered the label to the card front with dimensionals and finished the front with three rhinestone gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Queen Anne’s Lace stamp set in Garden Green ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the stems in twice stamped off Soft Suede ink and adhered an embossed strip of Bloom Where You’re Planted designer series paper to the bottom I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

There’s a lot Queen Anne’s Lace along the roadsides these days with the blue chicory flowers and they’re so pretty. Today’s card celebrates summer drives in the countryside with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Queen Anne’s Lace stamp set!

  1. Just beautiful Akiko 🙂 Love your design and your blending is so soft and pretty

  2. WOW! This is so pretty, Akiko. Great idea to sponge in the sky and get the Queen Ann’s Lace lined up. I miss seeing it along the road side and the side of our house when we lived up north.

  3. Oh my, this is awesome, Akiko! I love Queen Anne’s Lace too and love love love your card! So creative! TFS

  4. What a gorgeous card, Akiko! I have to tell you….yesterday would have been my 59th anniversary. For our wedding a lady in our church did the flowers, and she used Queen Anne’s Lace and White gladiolas. My colors were mint green and white. Your card is perfect! As much as I love Queen Anne’s Lace, I had not purchased this set. Your card makes me realize it is a ‘must have’ for me. Thank you.
