Hello! Last week I received my August Paper Pumpkin kit and I put together some of the cards. The cards are pretty with the touches of gold and vellum and the trophy, medal and ribbon are perfect for telling someone that they are the best in your eyes. The cards that I made didn’t follow the instructions, and I used some items in my personal stash, but they fit with the spirit of the kit as well as my own personal needs and tastes.

These are the three cards that I made and I’m sending them to family members who I need to reach out to.

For the first one, I wanted to stay with the Mint Macaron theme, so I skipped the blue ribbon, but I wanted to add a touch of gold, so I added a leaf cluster from the Flourishing Gold laser cut specialty designer series paper!

For the second card, I wanted to mount the medal on a banner, so I cut a panel of Bumblebee card stock and embossed it with the Tasteful Textile embossing folder before adhering the fussy cut medal.

And for the last card, I skipped the shaker card and mounted the ribbon on a die cut piece of Mint Macaron from the Subtles 6×6 designer series paper pack. What do you think? One of the nice things about Paper Pumpkin is that it coordinates with Stampin’ Up! products, so you can easily incorporate goodies that you have in your stash and make your own personalized projects that meet your needs.
Here are the cards that are made with the kit according to the provided instructions. It’s really fun that they included materials for a shaker card!!

Here are the contents of the kit.

The sentiments that come in the kit are perfect for celebrating a special achievement and showing admiration.

Here’s the Paper Pumpkin unboxing video from the YouTube channel showing how to assemble the cards:
And here are some more alternative projects made by the Paper Pumpkin team. Isn’t the pencil box made with the mini paper pumpkin boxes cute?

If you are interested in how to make these projects and seeing other alternative ideas, visit the Paper Pumpkin Facebook Blog. They describe how to make each of these alternative projects and they have additional ideas from demonstrators on projects using the August Paper Pumpkin kit. And checkout the Paper Pumpkin Facebook page because they will have a Facebook Live this afternoon at 4:30 to put together alternative projects.
