Good Morning! Today I am sharing another sneak peek of the wonderful Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers stamp bundle from the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog which will be available on June 3. This card is inspired by a tote bag that I have with a teal background and lots of sunflowers. I have wanted to create it since I first saw this stamp set. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started by stamping 9 of the little sunflowers from the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set using Early Espresso ink on a Whisper White panel. I colored each flower with Stampin’ Blends. I used Soft Suede for the centers, using the dark in the dotted areas first and then coloring the whole center with the light Soft Suede Blend. I colored the leaves with the Dark Old Olive Stampin blend and the Petals with the Mango Melody Blends. For the Petals, I started with the Light blend on each petal tip and used the dark Mango Melody blend to brush from the center outward, focusing on the petal shade lines. After they were colored, I cut them out with the coordinating die from the Sunflowers Dies.

I embossed a panel of Pretty Peacock card stock with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder and arranged the flowers on the panel, going over the edges for some flowers. I saved a flower for the inside, and cut some of the other flowers so that they would fill up the space. Once I was satisfied with the arrangement, I adhered the flowers with dimensionals. I trimmed any flowers that overlapped the edge of the embossed panel so that it was even with the panel edge. I adhered the decorated, embossed panel to an Early Espresso mat with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered the matted panel to a Pretty Peacock card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers cling stamp set with VersaMark Ink on a strip of Early Espresso card stock. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set it until shiny. I trimmed the end and adhered it to the front with multipurpose liquid glue. I finished off the front by adding the Pretty Peacock rhinestones between the flowers.

I adhered the last die cut sunflower to the top corner of a Whisper White panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with multipurpose liquid glue.

The Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers is one of many amazing new sets in the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. It will be available for ordering on June 3 – that’s just a week away! I can’t wait!
